  1. Just got some last minute pointers from Karun Chandhok...he said carpark, 1-2nd gear stuff is for poofs...lets hope there is some decent auto tests at PI and the proving Ground. Wheels up in 25 minutes....Provided my plain doesnt fall out of the sky i will see be back on deck in 13 hours
  2. LOL, at the moment its still the closest he has come to looking like he had the speed to win a GP. Japan in the rain was a possibility but the race was so variable...Monaco is still the race i pine over But yes, i am a fan of RBR and Webber. Never rated the guy, back in the day i was a DC and Quick Nick fan. When Nick signed for Williams i was stoked. What happened that season of racing changed my mind about Webber! Subsequent seasons i have continued to like the guy... he isnt the quickest guy out there, but i think he is showing that he is perhaps one of the best 6drivers on the grid. Cant wait to see how he goes over the next few races. If RBR go well in the sphincter of the universe i am off to Silverstone ... ticket prices are scary but i can get airfare and accom real cheap. LOL i will e trackside for Webz first win Dirty the rain fell as hard as it did in Malaysia, based on the how the RBR uses its tyres in the wet it would have been a great race between Glock and Webz for the win
  3. Man, Williams/Cosworth and the flag marshalls all got off light in that race. The car fails, the flaggies fail to show the blue flag....typical Webber stuff, the car was quick( but fragile) and he was driving well but everything went against him when he was on for a solid 3rd and very easily better. As for his laps being inconsistant? I was watching them too and he was between 4.5-3.5 seconds behnd Massa for the whole second stint as they both rolled up towards the bumper of Kimi. They would both punch hard for 3 laps then drop off half a second to high 1:15s, i assume because tyre wear/conservation. He was good, he was hopeless on the out lap on the softer tyres and for the first few laps, but perhaps the patience he showed in the early laps on those tyres was the reason over the last few laps he was again one of the quickest cars on the track...that and the Ferraris backed off .

  5. Vettel has binned it in Qus, Malaysia and Monaco and is still 3rd. Goes to show just how variable the season has been with only Brawn being consistant. And i have to say it, Webber's 2009 season is already a what if. What if Rubens hadnt clouted him in Aus, the race in Malaysia red flagged but re-started under pace car when the rain had stopped. I was there and the rain had all but stopped at about 5.15pm, so for 45 mins they could have had the cars circulating like they did in the GP2 race. Them you have Sutil in Bahrain... Webber has been a bit ordinary in qualifying, but has not put a foot wrong in the races yet. He needs a few P1-3 starts, but that is going to be tough with Ferrari, Toyota and Brawn now all in the mix. Come on Newey, bring out a freak update for the RBR cars
  6. Yeh, the ESPN commentary on PK Jr's quali lap was funny. They were saying that this isnt the PK we are used to, how he is on it... he then looped it on the final corner and they just laughed and said "Thats the PK we are used to seeing"

  8. Well Vettel shows he is human. Had a bad qualifying and a poor result. Webber was trying to get as many race laps with his Q3 fuel load and only hd one dig at it and didnt get the job done, based on his race pace if he needs to get his qualifying sorted

  10. The Brawns are mega heavy and at the front. Webz is 15kgs heavier or thereabouts, Vettel is in strfe as he is very light and only 4th
  11. Well at least Webber is heavy, and had a chance of juping a few spots if he races like a champion. So hope Kimi can keep Button t bay, no way i want that guy winning another race
  12. I hope he is mega heavy otherwise he has had a shocker and i will have ti fly the flag that he cant get near Vettel on the average day, perhaps not even his best If Vettel pulls 12-15 points on Webber its lights out...if they arent already

  19. huh? The inlet plenums are exactly the same! The real differences between the R32/33 and R34 RB26s is as you mentioned the R34 runs a different CAS which means you need R34 specific cams Main difference is the R34 runs far better ceramic ball bearing turbos, giving the engine better torque characteristics and ultimately a few more kws when tuned up with an ecu and exhaust.
  20. P1 doesnt mean much? This weekend it means a lot to RBR. They havea new diffuser and both cars lost time in P1 because of problems. So less then requried time to assess the performance of new parts, improve and setup the car...etc etc. And now they lose half of P2 as well fixing the problems. Not a good start, especially since they have possibly ruined a sweet car with the diffuser?!?!?!!?

  22. PMs replied, to clarify for all, when i purchased the turbo mid-late last year the original seller claimed 4,000odd kms . The condition of the hot side and turbo in general confirms it has low kms on it. And if you are after a price for the turbo, gate and 6boost manifold then i will take $3500 (Basically , $1100 manifold, $1900 turbo $500 for gate)
