  1. Russ has been burning the midnight oil putting my RIPS motor into his car, still to do the PPG box and Brembos, but they are pretty easy compared to a last minute engine change. It will be just like driving my car ... if all my good gear ever found its way into it. LOL here Ryan was thinking it was going to be a straight up SR vs RB fight
  2. LOL, Snaggle Puss, "exit...stage right"
  3. But, back to racing this weekend. Horner coming out in the news saying that if any of his drivers need to support the other to take Brawn on in the Championship then he will put in place team orders. Mark needs to get back those 7.5 points this weekend with a flag to flag win
  4. Few interested parties, arranging some photos
  5. No love for the old Greddy Truck Turbos?
  6. No reasonable offers? They are a good strong light wheel
  7. Regsiterable, what state, what state (Suburb) and asking price?
  8. Great find...thanks for posting! I credit the top GT1 - GT3 guys as the best drivers around. Sure then F1 guys etc may be a bit quicker but none of them have to race in a series where there is such a huge speed differential between the field....
  9. GTR, 1990 Bathurst? VL POWAH
  10. I have a dyno chart on one of my computers somewhere. But seriously, you touched the throttle and it hammered. Any gear at any road speed, well it was insane. When i drive it at the track it was hell quick even short shifting at 5,000rpm as it had so much midrange. You coudl go real fast without reving the ringer or stressing the cooling systems
  11. cough...really? Revolutionary? It uses an engine that dates back to 1989, or earlier if you consider the RB20 before it. It uses an awd system that had been around since 1989, and was ripped of Porsche. It used some alloy in the guards and...well what was revolutionary about them? What makes thm legenday? That they were the feature car in F&F?
  12. NO TURBO performance car should have a small smic with no airflow when you can cheaply have a neat fmic, especially if its a street car where you get very little airflow through the front of the car at sane street levels. Ths smic have a 2-4psi pressure drop accross them , so any perceived gaing you are getting from less volume of piping you are losing in pressure drop accross the core meaning your turbo is running more boost then your inlet plenum sees and that just comounds the heat soak issue, Sure the smic have their place....but i would never recommend a factory smic over a proper fmic setup. Especially when you want respons, so you want a nice cool and consistant inlet charge so you can get the ignition wound into the engine. Ans i say go with a 2530Kai, far more responsive the GT-RS RB25 i drove.
  13. A car is only ever a sum of its parts and only needs to be specal to its owner, i dont get people who spend their money based on what they think other people will batt off over rather then what they want
  14. Well you are my pin up boy, I am chasing down some late model RB20 gear for the mother of all RB20 strokers using an RB30 crank. Viva la RB20
  15. Frankly, i habe bene mucking around Skylines for 10 years, (others far longer) but to this day the most impressive street car i have driven and been in was an R33 GST25T with HKS 2530, Greddy inlet and 256 cams. The thing was more responsive then std, mdae 230rwkws and i would loved to have seen the torque curve. It ruled on the street. Track it wa a bit breathless over 6,000rpm, but it was all round better then the HKS T51, 3040, Trust T67 , Turbonetics T66 etc that followed the 2530
  16. Filthy Chrysler, deserves to be blown up....of course thats until someone has to pay to repair it
  17. LOL, whore time Circuit: Sandown Raceway Car: R32 GSTt with RB20 POWAH! Driver: balding, fast approaching middle age single guy who enjoys "the drink" too much Lap time: 1:23.1 seconds. Camera: stolen from another competitor, as if an R32 GTSt owner can afford luxuries like cameras Link: Circuit: Phillip Island Car: R32 GSTt with RB20 POWAH! Driver: a guy who hadnt been laid in a while so was driving a tad agitated/irritable Lap time: 1:52.00 seconds. (So close to a 1:51) Camera: i made it myself using tin foil. You should watch repeats of Macgyver if you want the details Link:
  18. Give me 3-4 weeks notice of when you are going to Calder. Re-match. The lil Rb20 wants a shot at your homo motor.
  19. Brand new without strut tops or springs. Brought them to go in with the modded GTR rear cradle for my GTSt but need the dollars to pay for a bill that has come up. Ideal for a GTSt guy going GTR rear end and wants the adjutability from one of the best rear shocks going round to help with power down / traction Asking $1000 in Melb
  20. Got everything crossed for you mate.
  21. Congrats, i can imagine how excited you are to be driving it
  22. Mint looking car. Very interested to hear who did the paintwork for you
  23. Play Station, some grass and beer and its will feel as good as the real thing, only cheaper.
