  1. The +22 offset is going to kill me. I am not sure they are going to fit inside the pumped up guards. They look so cool on a friends white S13, so they are the only pics i have at present. Have to find someone silly, ahem, kind enough to trial fit them on my car so that the panel beater can give me the gods honest truth of whether they will fit
  2. Have you seen a straight TD06 vs the TD06SL2 comparison? Interesting to read if others experiences vary. I dont think there is really much in it. vsute has an R32 GTSt that is near identical to mine. Same ECU, same injectors, same tuner, same dyno and both completely std RB20s with cam gears. Our graphs are identical except for the fact our cars run different diam tyres so the dyno sheets look identical only just offset from one another. He runs the L2 i run the norm TD06, i dont think its even a TD06S, well not according to the tag on the compressor cover. So i wouldnt lose any sleep over makign sure its an L2 version. I know its only one expample, but its a pretty controlled example. Our cars made within 2kws of each other at the same boost level.
  3. The 17 x 9 +22 Weds TC005 will clear a Brembo F50 caliper with 355mm rotor. I just bought a set and they came off an R32 GTR running the 355mm Brembos. So you can get some 17"s but i would definitely be waiting and trial fitting rather then all this other guff. I have had so many brake setups and wheels combos now because the suff i have read and published data doesnt alwas paint the whole picture
  4. Well its hugely sad to see him retire. But it sounds like he knows its more to do with his lack of motivation then ability. A terrible shame. He was the first of the "my generation" of drivers who i absolutely loved watching race. Some of the best racign was him in the POS Sega VR Commodore when Gibson lost Winfield money. Car wasnt there and he showed his class by man handling that car about the track....all class and a driver i really rate. So, no Seton, no Skaife....looks like i will have to support Murphy. Hell i am liking Ingall now he is with Morris....but yeh....scratching around for a driver to barrack for. Perhaps Max Wilson did enough at Bathurst to get him a look in.....i will get behind him if he scores a seat. Here is hoping that BJR realise the stupidity in putting nephew in the car when there is a guy like Wilson to be had
  5. Basically the TD part is the turbine, the 20# is the compressor So the TD06SL2 has a different exhaust wheel to the TD06S, from the dyno sheets i have seen there is no difference in response or power. The TD06SH is bigger again and would most certainly be laggier as it is the exhaust wheel used on the T67-25G and TD06SH-25G
  6. Keep it to yourself though. I cannot get over how well my car rode the bumps and kerbs when i went from the Bilsteins with bugger all spring to the Circuit Masters with higher spring rates. The car is a complete revelation on terack, cant really comment on the street as the cage and semi stripped interior makes the car noiser as hell so hard to tell re harshness on the road. But, yeh....good things and really makes you wonder about the general belief that all Teins are crap compared to Koni and Bilsteins etc
  7. Well, i am going to be spreading the word in every country that i travel to saying Australia's economy is shot, investors should get out etc etc. LOL, not that i know anybody or anything i say really matters I am shocked by the amount of promotion there is in Singapore, Malaysia and India with regards to Australian Real Estate. Especially for Perth and Melbourne. They sell it quite well and makes me wonder how much of Australian reals estate is actually foreign owned? Dezz, i would go to the States, get a job, have a good time and come back with money and experience (professional and personal) to boot Fark wasting youth getting a mortgage, not before you have experienced the below pics.... or whatever it is that floats your boat. Mind you if i could get decent wireless and have a place iwth a view like this...yeh i would buy it
  8. Stuff renting, and stuff buying in Australia. For the cost of real estate and cost of living in Aus we are taxed an amazing amount of money. It has been my experience that other countries where interest rates are as hihg as ours and property is so expensive, they usually have income tax rates half or even a 3rd of ours. Australia is a bit screwy on that front....i dearly hope that some more checks and balances emerge in the next decade or so, otherwise i cant see how Australia hopes to move forward and maintain its std of living
  9. I woudl have concerns with those wheels clearing simply because of the spoke design...and wasnt it PBR rotors?
  10. Agree, but if you are doing things with the difference between mortgage and rent then you can be well ahead of the game. For years when i was renting i did smart things with the money i was saving by renting. Then i hit about age 27 and thought fark it, i shoudl probably be dead, have this money and dsaving for stuff i may never get to do/enjoy...and starting living and went backwards That is the risk with renting and saving/investing. You can get some nice coin saved but you dont have th eforced savings aspect of the mortgage. I am in no rush to buy, being single also means you probably have a different view. Apologies to those with mortgages and homes, but i hope the whole market crashes and burns , BIG TIME. I personally hope unemployment climbs and there is blood in the street. Then i may be able to move into the market without all the pain:) LOL, the whole credit drama at the moment. I love how the people who are vocal about the market are crying crocodile tears. They are the ones with the reserves to increase their wealth in times like this...you could go as far as they help manufacture these market adjustments ever decade or so as i helps them secure more wealth LOL , i want to be them
  11. Cant believe this car is being sold again so quickly! Must be somehting wrong with it, i will give you 5k for it Such a nice car. If only i wasnt hanging for death and destruciton in the housing market so i could perhaps consider getting a place
  12. So tempted to spend the $2500 odd trying a 3071R to see if it works better then the TD06? Espeically since you can get the exhaust housings in twin scroll 0.63 T3 flanged which could work well.
  13. So since i cant sell my manifold, what would a 3071 with a 0.63 housing be like on an RB20
  14. Rent money = dead money? Only if you are spending your spare cash on hookers and booz. There is plenty to be said for not paying $1000 per month in interest for the honour of being a slave to the banks for the first 5-8 years of the mortgage. Only to have to pay rates, maintenance costs and hope that your property appreciates. Keep in mind it doesnt really matter if your house is worth 100k more after 4 years if you have only been paying off the interest for the first years of the mortgage and come payment of stamp duty, legals, mortgage insurance etc means ...well it isnt all roses. Not saying its all doom and gloom, but its important to know how some get caught out. I know people who are kept broke by their mortgages and there isnt any real light at the end of the tunnel. I also know those that have been smart about the house they bought (could afford) and are making a go of it. I rent, would love to own a place, but at $2700-2900 month for a place, i could simply put the $1900-2100 per month into savings, stocks (now is a good time) or wheatever and be financially secure. Sure you pay tax on those earnings as well....but just be sure you understand your situation and what is best for you. Old school home buyers with their 20-40% deposits sit far prettier then those relying mostly on first home owners grants.
  15. Is that Ross'spurple R32? I want that car!
  16. Be interesting to see the power the thing makes at 4,000rpm and again 4,500rpm. It could be finally enough for me to remove the TD06?!?! At 25psi , 274rwkws and 0.63IW housing how is the boost curve. I imagine the back pressure muct be pretty high in the housing, what ignition is in the engine up top?
  17. Its only natural for me. I have never won anything in my life without the other blke making a complete breakfast of it so i got a chance. So now as a spectator my boy cant get up unless others fail...we need about 8 to 16 cars to fail if Webber or Bourdais are going to win in Brazil
  18. See PM response, but effectively $500 for block or $850 ono for everything
  19. He isnt that old. I mean if he gets his head straight and is interested then he can still do the job. His pace is ok, he just go walks about so seems a concentration thing. Surely can keep concentration under control for sprint rounds or has he just foung Tander simply too quick for him?
  20. No Seton, and now no Skaife...there goes what little interest i had left in the sport.
  21. ... I will add. I just saw the first two episodes. They enjoyed them...not cringe worthy at all.
  22. I have read ppl being mego critical of the Stig driving. Personally i cant see what all the fuss is about, but i dont think its Bowe as the handwork on the wheel. In fact i will go out on a limg and say no way its John Bowe, he is from the wrong state
  23. Huddy, you were running the 3076 werent you? Dyno and details? Thats good work. What boost have you got up it?
