But how many races has DC won? He isnt a hack. He is past his best, but he is still very talented guy, so when all by himself, in the dry he binned his car on the same corner. So fast forward 24 hours and in a wet race in traffic on tyres that are still comign up to temperature, he made a woopsie and hit another competitor. He went and saw Sutil after the race and apolgised. The way i see it he did a marvelous job of controlling it. He could have very easily made an even bigger mess of it and had the race red flagged. Anyway, all this is taking away from a hige effort by BMW and Kubica. But the real story is how selfless Nicj Heidfeld was. If he raced his team mate like any other competitor it would have been his race because he had the right strategy at the right time, LOL and didnt need to hti a wall to fluke onto the right strategy

No difference at all. In both instances you race to within the rules. On the track you obey the flags, in the pits you obey the lights, pit speed etc. He didnt heed the red lights. Just like if he overtook Kubica whilst there was a safety car on the track. Or hit him whilst behind the safety car. You can do it, the fact that he hit another car when not stopping for the red light is the stooopid part of it. And again for those crying FIA foul. What happened to Vettel when he rocked up to China last year? He copped a 10 place penalty. But wait, guess what? It was overturned when evidence came to light that Lewis's frequent baulking behind the pace car was a controbuting factor so was let off. LOL, so they let off Vettel because Lewis was partly to blame. They didnt can him then, which woudl have been a tough call. This time round its perfectly fair that he cops the penalty, its warranted

I will sell anything provided it still leaves me with a complete set of something to sell to someone else. Of course its more desirable to sell certain things with certain things

Yes, all very valid points. Dont forget that Dennis said on the radio "watch the lights on exit" Just one of those things. Driers have to absorb and process so much information. Sometimes they miss the obvious. Whitmarsh's comments were a bit disappointing. Thought it was a bit petty that he came out and hinted that its open season on McLaren and penalty time. LOL, has he forgetten there is a Williams in the judgement as well? At least Dennis said, bugger its one of those things.

It is such a conspiracy that a Ferrari driver was excluded from the results last year for running the light. Hamilton not only crossed the line under red he belted another car up the keifer and pushed a stationay car accross the line to boot! Why is this even being discussed?

Not nuclear. Seeing things differently is fine. You are looking at is like a concerned mother though, "...poor FI" Not objectively as a motorsport fan. A mistake at speed in slick conditions under green race conditions, unfortunate and sad as it may be, is motorsport. To hit another car waiting at pit exit with another car, in clear dry conditions when the pace car is on the track is not on. I cant believe you dont see this. It isnt about a Sutil being robbed of points, or Kimi beign robbed of points by Lewis. Its about regulations, and what Lewis did is unfortunate and only required a momentary lapse in concentration, but what he and Rosberg did is in my eyes undefendable. Rosberg is even worse as there was already 3 cars stopped, near stopped and he hit Lewis!!!!!!!! And i have never raced a car, but help with servicing of cars and helped a guy run at the state level, and i am sure i am not the only one who sees what happened as about the worst thing a driver can do. Pit lane has a whole lot of special conditions, it is speed limited and controlled as there are pit teams, equipment, media etc etc. Cars and ppl dont go well together. LOL, and i cant let you slide with the nearly causing a fatality thing. That is laughable. Nobody was hurt in the accident, any accident can kill a driver. Motorsport is dangerous and there are flags and controls to try and minimise that risk. So under race conditions it is acceptable (but still unfortunate, but inevitable) that accidents will happen. Under safety cars and in pit lanes its a NO NO! It cant be accepted by the powers to be. Never has been acceptable, and never will be. Hell, lets just start disobeying yellow flags next, as Duncan touched on the lack of respect for the yellow is enough of a concern and something the FIA should try and reigh in. Pit lane is holy ground, you dont miss lights, dismiss warnings on the pit radio to check the pit lane exit light and you dont hit cars!

Dont start on the Kimi / Monaco no penalty thing. One incident was under green flags and race conditions in the wet at speed. The other was under a pace car and a closed pit lane exit. In perfect visibility and the dry ! NO FARKING SIMILARITIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would be trying to thinner in wall thickness then 1.6wt. Way too heavy for an exhaust, maybe the dump pipe and front pipe will be fine in 1.6mm, but after the cat you can drop it back to 1.2mm

ROFL He did try and punch Irvines light out after Japan! Does that count? I never reallyt liked Irvine, he was a good driver because the Britush press needed a good F1 driver. But i loved the guy off the track. How about " What a start to my Grand Prix career. I got punched by Senna in my first race, crashed in my second, destroyed four cars in my third and got banned from my fourth. People are going to think I'm some kind of nutter."

LOL. To me these sorts of weekends will galvanise him and he will end up doing a MS and win a scary amount of races and WDCs. Only it is one part painful to see him making a mess of the job every 3rd or 4th GP when the team could be kicking ass. It is also one part comedy to see a genuinely gifted guy learn so publicly in a winning car...but kills me as there are other more experienced guys who may not win as many races, but will have less bad weekends. You only have to look at how Lewis started last year to see what collecting points, not max points but top3-4 finishes does. Hell look at Kubica this year. He is doing exactly what Lewis did last year, down to winning his firsat GP in Canada What is a complete mystery to me is where the hell is Heikki? He is now making a habit of having bad luck How long can we keepo calling it luck until you have to question some pit wall tactics combined with some poor feedback from behind the wheel?

If you dont have long term big plans for the car then i say do not do the RB25 conversion. Getting the car registered with an RB25 can be problematic. I doubt a person who has done a 5K RB25 conversion would end up with any more performance then a modded RB20. Grab a 2530Kai, an ecu or a tune and your 220rwkws RB20 will be mega reliable, registerable, wont pop gearboxes and you will have change from the 5k to spend on subtle tweaks like perhaps a diff, some nicer suspension parts or better rubber. All round far better solution. I cant believe people are suggesting a 5k RB25 conversion to someone who just wants to play around a little, by his words "I know I could spend alot more than this but this is all im really willing to." Unless he has the tools and know how the conversion wil cost more then 5k:( Would be nice and punchy on the street though, Fark, talking RB25 conversion is like resorting to the use of a shotgun to get a 6yr old to brush their teeth
-
Its been 6 hours. TOOL!!!!! LOL, i figure people shower him with superlatives when he gets something right. So can the guy when he has a shocker LOL, not a good week for the Hamilton family, old man parks it in a playground and Lewis bins it into a parked car at 40km/h

Would S15 F50 Dog Bones Fit A R34 Gtr?
Roy replied to OS30GK's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Wrong bolt size. But otherwise yes. You could drill and re-tap the mounts. They are not difficult to get. Just order them from V-Sport, BSM Sport or any other Brembo agent in Aus, Japan or USA. What drand of rotor hat are you running for the 355mm rotor as the hat offset can vary between manufacturers, especially the Japanese kits that use Brembo calipers with their own rotors like Border, Biot, RDD etc -
Rear? LOL you are making life hard for yourself? $1800 and they are yours

I am waiting to hear what Dennis and the team have prepared. Past mistakes have been instances "of the team letting Lewis down". Surely they cant protect his from this mistake. Perhaps they put oil on his visor when they gave it a wipe in the stop? Oh, and Piquet Jr? Poor kid is still struggling. But very tough conditions, and coming into F1 in a year of no driver aids is of courde making the rookies life harder then other rookies of recent years

oops, Edit

Misec feelings for Nick. It was really his race to win, but seemed logical that they free Kubica so that the team would have the best chance of getting both cars on the podium. Will be interesting to see what comes of the Lewis-Kimi accident. How seriously fo they take F1 cars comign together in pit lane?
-
Shame for Nick, he touched ont he fact that it could have been his win if he had not let Kubica past to get the gap for the second stop! He was able to keep Alonso behind so coudl have porbably kept Kubica behind. But hsi approach to the racing is probably why the team has come so far so quickly
-
Awesome podium, stoked for all of them. Kubica for a well deserved win and a big haul of needed points for Nick and DC! Massa was very entertaining and on a real charge, but again crappy Ferrari strategy
-
And credit to Alonso, he threw it away and has copped to it as "having a go because he had a stop to go" Credit to him to cop to a mistake in two GPs in a row. Which is a shame really as if he hadnt of thrown the car away in Monaco and here he would have grabbed some serious points
-
Listen to the commentators. Kubica in his second full season is about to win BMW's first race, a 1-2 no less. There is no talk of them
-
FARK YEH MASSA! Awesome pass! Really hope DC hangs in there for 3rd
-
COME ON KUBICA!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Cant believe he hasnt copped to making a mistake. "I saw the red light, by the time i stopped , errr i was too late." Farkhead "err it wasnt a racing mistake, err its just one of those things " Then he comments the stop wasnt very good, like the team played a part in his mistake?

Hmmm, Webber again showing he isnt that confident in traffic, it appears Nakijima has exited the pits in front of him Based on past form Webber will probably fisnih behind him well down perhaps out of the points
