I am with you, it would be cool thing to do, and i have considered it with all teh shit i have layign around, lol but i cant build engines so But if i raced in a class that meant with a turbo i had to stay under a 2.4L or something then i would seriously build the engine. But that is the only reason reallu. But regarding the whole revs thing. Of course the RB20 revs way better. It has smaller and ligther pistons meaning less interia. Its stroke is a 69.7mm vs 71.7mm which all helps reduce piston speeds and they have thicker blocks meaning far less chance of warping. I personally would never rev an RB25 as hard as an RB20 for those reason alone. There is a tad of we need to rev them that hard to get a usable power band, but there is some physics and mettalurgy on its side as well

R32 Gtr Brake Upgrade Advice
Roy replied to LotusGTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
LOL...try now , buy later From memory an AP CP5555 for instance needs about 22mm on top of your rotor radius to clear the wheel. So for a 324mm rotor, thats 162+22 = 184mm radially. So your measurement of 490mm ID is 245mm radially so will walk it in. Even if your ID is 390 still gives you 11mm, which is plenty. If you want to run a 343mm, can still do it but you need to make sure your 390mm measurement is accurate or at least conservative as its only leaving you with 1.5mm clearance Oh, and will quickly add, the R32 V-Spec II BBS wheels are 17x8 +30, not 9", lol otherwise i woudl have bought some And Ronins very nice AP CP5555-804s from memory , the pick of the litter. Means you can run endurance style thick rotors of 35.6mm etc all whilst running a std thickness pad which means the pad actually comes up to temp on the street, which with a caliper that runs an endurance style pad as well (ie twice as thick) there is talk that the racey pads never get up to temp meaning that they grind your rotors a new a55hole -
As Baron said, major re-investment required. But seriously, i think for most cars, even your car, asylum job it is....your money would be better spent on a better quality seat and perhaps a lighter helmet. Perhaps ensure they are HANS compliant for the short term, and long term consider that you may decide its warranted to take the next step when you are quicker again. By better seat i mean one that offers a bit more support around your ribs and belly, and head restraints so that in an impact your helmet isnt hitting windows, roll cage etc. Then a lighter helmet simply because in an accident your helmet increases the inertia and resulting strain. Unless you are dunk then you will walk away from any accident unharmed. Beauty of big accidents is they happen in slo-mo....so perhaps enough time to knock off half a bottle of Johnnie ... SCIENTIFIC FACT!

Just drink as much or as little as you like. The antics you pull after your quota is what is important!

Provided the harness is the typical seat belt clip type then some are legal and ADR compliant. The racing quick release buckles are 100% illegal on the street. This seat woudl not meet ADRs because of visibility

I have never enjoyed the view. Always too busy reaching accross the cabin holding doors on car and stopping the car from falling apart at the speeds you end up doing at PI

Too much, better off grabbing some CSC 343mm compete with hats and startign again with a local supply of rotors Ok, something that hasnt been touched on how many blokes are going to bin it trying to be the STAR in a reasonably priced car? Tryign to prove they can go quicker with less I know i am top shelf Blue Label stuff when it comes to trying to hard and crashing and burning
-
You can use them if you want to buy replacement 340mm rotors, they are cactus. The 324mm gear is fine but wont wont be much help to you or any decent powered GTR:(

Few Dyno Run Vids Of The New 26 And K5-660r
Roy replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hope you dont mind Archie.... I had a HKS Low Mount T04R manifold etc ready to try a T04Z, but Archie's car changed my ming about running one on a 2.6L. Dont know the exact spec of the engine but it had std cams and displacement, though it was running forged internals. Turbo was... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...tml&hl=T04Z By no means was it a dud, but it definitely is a BIG single when it comes to how it drives -
What makes you think they were warped?

See the article about Kubica and Hamilton? How they really arent friends these days, as they like, need and do different things. Kubica needs a roof over his head and a quick car. Lewis is busy with movie previews, parties and flashing cameras. Kubica is so down to earth. The more i read about the guy is quickly becoming my new favourite driver Also i wonder what Bernie is playign at? http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news...617151751.shtml He used to love Lewis because the exposure his success did for the sport. But somehow seems to have fallen out of favour with the F1 powerbroker?

Yeh, oops, so much for selling them. They are still sitting here LOL, if we are talking drag racing my car wouldnt even be the quickest silver R32 GTSt with Feb 92 build plate running a TD06 on 17" weds But on a circuit it might be, maybe....if you dont look too hard Team NSW needs to lift their games. We lost the Super 14s, the second State of Origin , well We are due for a sporting win. I still say when drunk i have great QC control of stale muffins at the 711 accross the road from Sydney City RSL

Petition To Get F1 Broadcast Live On Ten Hd!
Roy replied to West's topic in General Automotive Discussion
If PAY tv can schedule prgrams, and for years and years and years channels were able to schedule prgrams, inc the news to the minute. Then what has changed? The tripe that C10 programs means they try to get you to catch the lat 10 mins of Big Brother etc. They think that if you catch the last few minutes with it running late, that you will be hooked and watch other episodes? The opposite, if i wanted to watch that SHIT i would, but i dont, so get pissed off when they make me wake up at fark knows hour for the Canadain GP only for it to start 20 mins later...infomercials were they? The schedulers and programmers would lose their jobs if they were so bad at it. It is intentional, a lot of my friends are in TV and editors and production staff need to queue news readers etc etc so that they run on time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They do it when they pre-record Wheel of Fortune and all those sorts of shows, just like they do it for news. I am in a particularly bad mood this week -

Light goes green and sticky tyres and heavy right foot do all the work. Your point ? Fastest and quickest form of motorsport? How is fast different to quick? I guess acceleration and top speed? So be a big help at circuit, but there is still lots of work to do in braking, handling, steering, cooling, tyre use/wear. But you know this, so dont get upset when i say a drag car is pretty irrelevant for circuit competition What does a drag car have to do with a track car? Its like if people were sitting around talking about tennis and saying "watch out man, that guy with his squash racket is coming over and going to whip the tennis players". Both sports require different equipment and different skills. So, both sports but very different...so sif drag cars count. And ony the other page you said you were not entering the drag GTR, and none of its drivers are entered to punt it. So you have a sister GTR which is a track car and beign punted by a circuit guy. Your actions prove you know i am right , otherwise you would enter Twoogle and you or one of the drag fraternity would drive it
-
Actually , the real BS starts once the lap times blow out Is it? I am pretty sure my GTSt is the fastest TD06 powered RB20 in the world. Sif drag racing counts
