  1. Centre caps went walkabout between Japan and here:( They are very light. Easily within a kg of the LM GT4s, if not my Weds. Crazy made in Russai farking wheels I do love them, but can live without them since the car is getting garaged
  2. Well, tough weekend ahead for Mark and RBR. They were nowhere in both sessions and Vettel is complaining that his best "was just about a qualifying lap" Oh well, at least i can root for Williams, Rosberg looks strong
  3. Hey, Russ. Just saw my phone. I am still on site (Yeh farking 10.45pm at night commissioning shot that does not work ). Will give you a buzz at a sane hour Friday
  4. LOL, hopefully Lee and Matt get a good run in and we can all try and pump out some PBs or at least respectable times If anybody needs some semi slicks then let me know by Monday. I have some credit that i wont be able to use all of. So can use the balance of the credit to redeem some cash from whoever needs tyres
  5. I took the data logger because i am good at playing with myself
  6. Awesome !!!! How good was Seb Bourdais on board hot lap!
  7. ...oh and no GTRs Will have to see if the GTSt / rwd boys can take over and keep the WRX crowd honest at the tops of the time tables
  8. If things get done on the car this weekend then entry in Monday. Money is really tight at the moment and need to sell some of the parts i have layign around. Fingers crossed
  9. LOL, because i am about the only guy in SAU-Vic (BBGTR springs to mind, but thats about it) who uses a data logger. I have found it gets me into trouble. I know by looking at the data the times i can do if i just got more then 8-10 laps per day to get me and the car dialled in at a Club Sprint. I mention them as goals before things like engine transplants and ppl laugh. But to date i have not failed to reach a target time on my visits to PI & Sandown. Would have got my Winton time except for being held up by a slower car on the quick lap out of the two i have done with no car problems My time, which is still a little over 2 seconds what it should be (should, not could. It could be about 3 seconds at one circuit but no lap is perfect) is enough to give me some real bragging rights with the Vic-GTR guys. And that is just with the driving, not setting the car up to make the most of what mods i already have. The two best things i ever did, watch Duncan kick my ass in his std R33 GTS25t with DO1Js around Wakefield. It made me realise that my driving was miles of what i could dare call respectable. Second was buying the data logger, reveals so much about what i am actually doing.
  10. Ever since about 1993 when i saw and heard a TVR Griffith 500 i have loved TVRs. I hope to bring back a V8 Cerbera back from the UK with me as a private import next year. Dont think i will earn and save enough to stretch it to a Sagaris
  11. TVR Speed 12. This is the second time in 3 years that this animal has come up for sale. LOL, perhaps it is simply too much car. I have an article of it from EVO magazine, they say its not too bad once you warm up the fresh slicks and only running the detuned ecu setting. LOL, TVR did truly build the bad bay supercar "It is a one off, horribly dangerous and ugly/beautiful as hell. Torque of the Devil."
  12. Fark, ok, do i get a second guess? Garry Wilmington? LOL my friend wanted to know who did the V8 laps at Wakefield and i was like "Garry Wilmington..." then i realised he probably doesnt do it anymore...then thought Ex Supercar/Touring Car driver
  13. Looks like a great car. Shame it wont be there. I know your pain regarding $$$. I am selling all the gear i have been accumulating for my car engine and drivetrain wise as i am chasing some dollars OS whilst on holidays. Though i think i am going to stop short of selling the car, but still undecided. Your car would be a good buy, hell cool and quick
  14. Item: R33 manual gearbox, shifter and front yolk Age: Series I or II R33 Condition: Good Price: $1500 Location: Stored at Moorabbin Contact: PM or post in thread Comments: From a std R33 which had a std clutch so expect it to be in perfect working order. Purchased for use with the hybrid RB i have been collecting parts for. All parts are now being flogged off as car is going to be garaged whilst OS and since no longer tracking car i expect the RB20 box to last for day to day driving.
  15. Will post to metro major city for free. And to clarify, when using the 324mm rotor it is a complete bolt on setup for $1760, near new rotors, mounts, lines and pads. Left over will the the 340mm alloy hats and mounts for an R34
  16. PMs replied to. Will do postage to metro Sydney, Adelaide for the asking price. Throw an extra $80 on it for QLD and Perth
  17. Original post updated, sold items deleted. OS trip is approaching and need this gear gone before i am off.
  18. Especially if its damp. Cant wait to fire up the live footage of Thursdays practice session.
  19. What is so special about a V8 Supercar? They are not exactly light. By todays standards they dont have huge horsepower. The compound tyres they run are not great as their tyre is a control tyre. They are a strong package in all areas hence why they are fast. Carrera Cup cars are a similar example. Still every bit of a race car, but control tyres, average weight and power and good dynamics. The difference is typically drivers. I know i dont get the best out of my car. Problem is ppl dont give the above cars the credit they deserve for their pace. Only have to look at Sports Sedans to realise that even with more displacement and less weight they are not exactly leagues ahead (often not as quick). So i dont think you can say its as simple as tyres, power and weight. Sure it all helps. But to bridge the difference to the sorts of times V8s/Carrera Cup do then you really need to look at the engineering of the whole package and the dynamics of the car. Not easy to do when you are using a mass produced production car as a basis.
