I dont think Webber will get a seat at Ferrari. But then again who would have thought that Honda would create a satellite team for Sato. That JV woudl be recruited by Renault mid season, then get signed by Sauber? Strange things happen in F1. So whilst i dont see Webber going to Ferrari or any other team really, its possible that Kubica or Heidfeld could jump ship, Alonso could be on the move. Rosberg coudl be fed up with Williams etc etc. Hell if there is any substance to the Kimi retiring thing, then who knows what could happen if Kimi nags the season with a few races to go?!?!?! It is F1 and Rosberg wanting a move and Alonso is running around at what is on offer (Hell even Brawn said that Ferrari's press release re-Alonso was grey) then things can happen, seats open up and the solid guys like Webber, Heidfeld, Button etc can bag a seat once the ripples from Alonso, Kimi, Rosberg, Kubica have all settled PS, i really hope Rosberg stays at Williams, i would love to see them back at the pointy end and they need him for that. They also need a decent co-drover for him. The way he is talking about Monaco he sounds like he is expecting to bin the car He isnt shaping up to be a Williams driver

Very good point by TO4GTR. How are they measuring knock? Puffs of black smoke out the exhaust, audible, PFc, electronic ear etc etc? If its striaght off the Power Fc then they need a better means of detecting knock. But being JEM i am sure they have the right gear and know pinging/detonation when they hear it

I MUST HAVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, though you have heard me say that before

See DC has started making noise that Webbers recetn comments regarding wanting an extended RBR contract are not...because he wants to stay at RBR. But because he wants to announce/remind the F1 circus that he is on the market at the end of the year. He also notes that he isnt talking publicly about wanting to stay at RBR as he knows his negotiations are fine and doesnt see a need to drum up interest in the fact that he intends to stay with RBR. LOL, DC is on the outer, a shame as i have always liked him. But his time has come and no point firing shots accross the bow of Webber. Taking Webbers quote, which was a favbourable comment about the good things RBR and him are achieving, and contorting it to be Mark trying to drum up interest in his 2009 contract is sad. Fact is Webber doesnt realy have anywhere to go anyway. The only seat he woudl be offered woudl be a result of a Alonso, Kubica Massa dance around the yard

LOL, i didnt mind sitting it out at all. Though next year i wont care, Ferni's car is pretty well sorted, wet or dry it wont matter. We will keep the old guard honest

Std seat belt is ok, and often preferred over poorly installed harnesses. Try Speedzone for some well priced ERG harnesses. And be sure to mount the harness so not to hurt yourself in an accident. There is no real easy way in an R32, i used the std rear seat belt points for a while, but after my Sandown accident realised the risk i was taking and got a harness bar in a cage just to be sure the harness is doing what it needs to. It depends on what you want to do with the back seat and how much trouble you are willing to go to

Was good to meet you Kevin, So Jeff, is the second bottle of RED the secret to your success, or even part of it? Maybe i need to bin the beer

Come on Paul , read the first post again Has checked the fuel rail pressure, has checked timing. Doing a compression check could show something but i doubt it, if the thing is makign that sort of power all whilst having JEM looking at rail pressure, cats, timing etc then they will have got a feel for how the engines health is by just looking at how it responds to fuel and ignition. A decription of how and when it is pinging woudl help diagnpose. But the only thing i cna think of is injector is clogged and its pinging in one cylinder. Remove and flow test injectors!?!?!?!?

Clogged, stuffed injector. But where, how is it pinging. At certain revs, certain load? All the time.

Item: Brembo F40 Calipers, lines, pads and rotors. Age: Used Condition: Good, perfect working order Price: $1,760 for bolt on R32/33 324mm rotor/caliper/mount setup $2,100 for everything. Negotiable depending on what rotors etc etc To Fit: - Using 324mm DBA 4000 rotors then will bolt to R32/33s. - Using 340mm hat and radial mount will bolt to R34s. Require new 340mm rotors as rotor in pic is cracked and for display purposes only Location: CBD Melbourne Contact: Via thread or PM Comments: I purchased the F40 kit as the pistons are the same size as the Nissan GTR Brembo (so compatible with std master cylinders etc), and combined with larger rotor is what Brembo recommend for Silvias, 300ZXs and R32/33 GTSt. Also sold as a kit for GTRs provided the rotor used is under under the 343mm range. Brembo kits using the 355mm rotor or bigger typically use the F50 caliper which is dimensionally the same, only uses larger pistons. The F40 advertised uses 44/38mm pistons where the F50 uses 44/40. The kit includes everything in the pics: - Calipers - Used K-Powers MD-R pads, about 10mm pad left, ie plenty of life left (DIXCEL) - Braided lines - R32/33 324mm Radial mounts - R34 340mm radial mounts - Near new 324mm DBA 4000 rotors, no more then 3,000kms on them. (Not pictured, still on car) - 340mm alloy hats with new rotor mounting hardware. The actual 340mm rotor pictured is no longer able to be used due to crack at one of the lugs that is bolted to the hats. I had purcahsed new 340mm rotors, but whilst carrying too many things down the stairs to the underground carpark i dropped them, completely farking brand new rotors (divets and gouges) Rather then buy yet another set i decided to use them with the 324mm rotor i already had on the car, hence the second pair of radial mounts. The Brembo caliper is a good, sturdy and reliable caliper. Calipers have been photographed as they come off the car, so with a clean they will look better again. (Will clean before posting etc). Both rotor diameters and calipers cleared by 17 x 8+35 Wed wheels (track rims) though the caliper width means that my street 17s of the same offset do no clear the brakes. Sadly thats the price you get for such a rigid, robust caliper, its physical size Still being alloy its not exactly heavy. Would clear most 17" wheels with an offset of +30 or less, and some wheels with offsets between +30 and +35. Selling and have gone back to my std calipers on spacer bracket. No longer tracking car so doesnt make sense having these laying around as they do not clear my street rims. Can negotiate a price depending on what buyer wants

Great work Team Cheaterer GTRs. Considering the elements it was an out of this world effort to be where you are in the results. If it was dry or semi dry for some more events i think you would have been in a higher position. And top work to Pete, easily the most excitable Dutton entrant of 2008

R32 Brakes In Crap Condition. Need Pointers
Roy replied to r30kansai's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeh, personally i would take them apart. Wash everything thoroughly in a good solvent. The i would blast the calipers and get them re-painted. Then i woudl blast the pistons which i suspect may end up being shagged. If the pitting and oxidation isnt too bad then i would get them ceramic coated to seal them back up and stop future corrosion...then throw a seal kit in them and away you go. My only concern would be the extent of corrosion on the pistons -
Awesome result! Any pics of the turbo before it went on? The only internal gate TD06s i have seen dont look to have great wastegate and dump design. So if these are the results then bugger what they look like and what i woudl of thought would be high back pressure. Go for the bolt on low mount convenience for the same result. Same power at same boost

dont like your current setup? I would try the Apexi turbo myself. The results i have read with them are at least line ball with the 2530, and could be Just be sure you get the right housings, not the P22 etc as that sized housing would be overly laggy, Also re the 230rwkws, it makes for a quick car. But the lag at 230rwkws isnt too different from the 450hp style turbos that will bag you 250rwkws with just about the same amount of response. You arelady have the injectors etc
