  1. Harry... I am betting you were big at high school debates back in the day I so hope Perez hands it to Hamo GP after GP....but good on Hamo for taking the plunge. I respect him for leaving McLaren for a team that has done nothing in its 10-14 whatever years in F1 except steal a 4-6 GP advantage with Button at the wheel. Surprised it was Perez who McLaren signed....I thought the sponsorship clash would have pushed one of the FI drivers into the fold. I take it this means that Vodafone will be dropping their Mac sponsorship as some rumours have suggested earlier in the year and Mac will pic up Perez's telecom sponsorship I also assume that jaime alguersuari will step up for the Sauber drive. You read it here first ..I will also add that Lewis best start getting to know JV as he will be able to tech him a thing or two about leaving a top team after winning one WDC and spending the rest of your career eating d1ck in the midfield
  2. If you measure the ID and OD of the rubber seals then I can equate that to a piston diameter from the Brembo catalogue. A friend is after some 6 pots for 355mm rotors so could be a go for him and his WRX
  3. Interested in the 6 piston calipers if you can post the piston sizes. They look to be FPV calipers?
  4. Lets see if the story pans out. But good on Hamo if he moves. I will respect him more for it. If he does go, given Schueys pace I would lvoe to see him on a 1 year contract at Ferrari for Perez to jump in for 2014. Schuey has got his head around the car this season and has been quicker than Rosberg. He has binned it, and had some reliability problems...but you would expect a rookie to bin it from time to time as well so why not take a pensioner for a year...who is quick and woudl be amazing for marketing "Michaels heart has always been at Ferrari" type nonsense from the Italians
  5. Good luck with the build. I saw this car when it was being advertised then my heart sank when I saw it had been sold. Then I saw it at Racepace and was happy to see the new owner was going to be giving her the goods!
  6. In My case they are different widths front to rear so the wider has to go on the rear for clearance...which happen to be the soft compound. Wont be the end of the world. The way I turn in early and have no grunt...lol I will probably overheat the fronts before the soft rears
  7. What does "hot exit" mean. I hope nobody had issues with fire
  8. eek. I am about to run soft rears and med fronts. Only going that road as getting tyres cheap. Hope it isnt too bad a setup
  9. So ... Orchard Towers? Its funny. I was only thinking on the weekend that perhaps a move back to Singapore is on the cards. But I quikcly remembered how an NA Impreza cost 4k a month and my apartment was 4.5k a month. It should not be a surprise that Singapore has the most millionaires per capita than anywhere else in the worlds
  10. Moving on...it was a good start to the Singapore GP. Webber was in a meat grinder and all drivers gave each other ample room...just
  11. Do you work for Fox US? Never let the facts get in the way of a good rant from a high horse! Schuey penalty is about right in my eyes. It was a bad mistake but that's all it was. Was gutted for Pastor. I don't really care about him but would love to see Williams get another good result. Is it too much to hope for that they show some more race winning pace and next year attract a top shelf driver to replace Senna? Would love to see Hulk return or someone like Di Resta get the seat. Dare I say I would love to see Massa get the seat if he gets booted. May be the change he needs to get back to his previous form.
  12. Some bad luck, some bad performances and he is GONE! For the first half of the season he was averaging 12 points per race. The past 5 races he is averaging about 3 points per race The penalty seems pretty harsh, especially when Massa went off track to overtake Senna with no penalty in a similar style of move. Oh well Ah Singapore.I wonder how many tourists unknowingly slept with men over the weekend
  13. Season is over for Webber. He isn't a shadow of the guy that was racing at Valencia , Silverstone and Monaco
  14. Are your rear guards are pumped at all. i was hoping to fit 18x10+35 but need the wheel inside the guards for 29 tyres
  15. Forget the 20G wheel on the TD05 turbine . Just run the 18G compressor (IMO ) Basically the same compressor sheer just a smaller trim. I have one on the bench that i wanted to back to back with my TDO6-20G but its never going to happen so Will be for sale sooner or later with a Trust 8cm rear housing. Would be a good think to throw a 68mm billet compressor at
  16. All cars comply, including McLaren and Marussia. The rule change was to limit the height of the nose so that in an accident the nose cones were not going to go over the sidepod and hit drivers. Most teams lowered the noses and when they reached the area of nose where the height changed they simply put a step in it. McLaren, Marussia and HRT decided to use a countour others a step. But all cars comply
  17. I wasn't being a smart ass. Just pointing out what you are wanting to see already exists in another category. So copying another less successful category isn't going to be a very good model
  18. If thats what you want to see then go and watch the state and national rounds of the Production Cars.
  19. That sums it up really doesn't it? I dont think they should have all the same motor, capacity yes, but not motor. There will be enough differences in the engines that they will have different notes and character. be interesting to see if the old story of pushrods having a bit better torque (mainly from the bore/stroke) than the multi-valve jobs
  20. Actual specs have been out for a while. Same engine as the 12C, just different specs, assumed to be turbos etc and more grunt. Has KERS, DSG. I like the look of it...nice evolution of the F1 and dramatic enough looking. Having seen a few 12Cs they are nice cars but not very "Oh my farking GOD" . Not compared to some other uber cars getting around...it actually reminds me a little of an Ascari
  21. The easiest way for things to get out of control is to let different manufacturers run vastly different capacities. If you let Nissan run 5.6, Mercs 6.3, GM 7L and Ford 5.4L or whatever they are you are going to instantly have vastly different levels of performance. If you cap them all at 5L then you just have to consider the differences in the valve gear and stroke/bore and how they make their power. Makes sense to me. And yeh, I like Murphy...he used to sook a bit when he was competitive but these days seems to have come good and I think is a pretty good character
  22. Ash, go to a V8 Supercar round and look at the car and tell me they are the same. They use the same building blocks, but its like saying a Racepace GTR is the same as a Godzilla Motorsports GTR is the same as a Willal GTR. Look around and all the classes people love the look of offer poor racing and too high a cost. GT1 has just fallen over again. My main problem with the current Supercars are the muppets driving them. Apart from Lowndes and Murphy I dont like any of them to passionately turn on the box and barrack for any of them
  23. What are peoples thoughts? Looks pretty tough. Shame it has lost its screaming 6L NA BMW engine but small capacity turbo V8s seem to be to go for emissions.
  24. I am not trying to be rude but how old are you? Did you actually ever watch Grp A races? Maybe Winton, maybe Lakeside gave us reasonable races with M3s vs Sierras vs Skylines. But generally it was a cake walk for particular makes of cars/teams and there was not any racing. I loved it due to the variety of cars, but there was little racing.
  25. ummm...Kando thread. Not Hypergear or relationship counselling
