  1. I doubt it will look anything like that colour wise. Nissan and Jack Daniels are the sponsors so guess its going to change to largely black and white with red Nissan signage
  2. They also sold me the wrong oil filter which kind of fitted....its o-ring was kind of bigger then std and didnt seat against the block so kind of blew out with some temp and pressure and kind of drained all the oil from the sump and knd of spun a big end....in hindsight I am gutted I didn't check the new for old side by side. Friggin Repco
  3. GTR32G..see what you mean about stone chips http://jrmphotography.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/Snowy-Mountains-1000m-Sprint/G0000ec1N42zqqpM/I0000Pbj2g_r9A_0/C0000Io.atSjn7us See JRM's photos at http://jrmphotography.photoshelter.com/gallery/Snowy-Mountains-1000m-Sprint/G0000ec1N42zqqpM/C0000Io.atSjn7us
  4. Yeh, maybe...but I don't like that idea on my car. Too much heat-temp cycling. If you run a bit duct so its all low velocity and you dont get cold spots...but not very practical given how busy it all it in there. I also ran my inlet temp thermocouple around the strut tower whilst I was doing my shielding etc years ago and i think the main thing is keep the heat in the hot things and try to have slow heating and cooling....with it protect the things that dont like heat and then typically saloon cars with copious amount of 60deg air coming through the radiator gives enough airflow through the engine bay...for me a better approach since i dont want any ducting etc in my bonnet. But others may be able to make it work
  5. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Yeh ACL is good stuff, but with that sort of dump and manifold setup I think you will have trouble making a decent arrangement. Under the sheathing over the coolant hoses going into the firewall std Nissan hoses that have been wrapped in DEI no leaks to further make the new hose robust. When you are driving arount at wide open throttle for 15 minutes with everything glowing red everything goes to shit. Even loom clips nowehere near the immediate heat sources harden and become nice and crispy. If its less circuit car and just a club car doing track work then the concern over heat control is a little less
  7. LOL, Roy is quite a common name for wealthy fat blokes in India I am going to task myself when cutting laps around the circuit to putting plenty of 295 AO50 rubber down in P2 for Webber when he gets out qualified by Seb and has to start on the dirty side. Will have to make sure my gate is atmo to so a i blow his line to the first corner clean
  8. Anyway...I just paid for my 2013 Aus GP tickets. Now to try and get my Super Licence so I can compete next season
  9. If this is a track car then I think you are worried about the wrong black hose. I would be doing something about the coolant hose going to the heater core that is only a few inches from the no.6 cylinder runner on the manifold you are running If you run 50;50 coolant and the temps are up over 95 when running and it splits then this can happen to you too End up with ethylene glycol being sprayed onto a rad hot exhaust which can lead to some unexpected, interesting problems
  10. The Ferrari race pace is there, ditto McLaren. RBR are not dominant with race pace and only had to look at the small problem Webber had and Alonso had him. So whilst RBR are in the drivers seat I think and hope Alonso still had a shot. The other thing is RBRs recent history in Aby Dhabi and Brazil
  11. Cant answer the question without a load more information. The Brembo F50 caliper is used in so many different kits with different brands of rotorss. Is yours a genuine Brembo kit or a Japanese kit? What size rotor and what do you mean by F50 rear?
  12. What a start by Webber. Deserves to win the WDC with that start!
  13. The development series are only running them for one more season aren't they? Figured only those flushed with cash would be upgrading when only good until end of 2013. I did read they were trying to sell them to UAE as a series so they could replace their V8 saloon series in 2014 but not sure if they have had any success
  14. My god that Lotus is anamazing looking car
  15. I know that pain. I have worked in backwards nowhere parts of Indonesia, India, Malaysia..."engineering...taking people to parts of the world nobody else dare"
  16. LOL, yeh more shit that people dont want. I had to buy pallet racking the other week to put all that shit on and still be able to fit the car into the garage space
  17. I am not fussed whether they are running production based engines. I think in reality they would prefer to run production based engines as these days both make great late model all alloy powerhouses. But the respective SVO and Chev engines now have enough development in them its probably a financial thing that they keep them. I am looking forward to car of the future...should mean plenty of cool brake setups, Hollingers etc find their way into club cars
  18. Williams have their own KERS which has now won Le Mans but its not what is used in its F1 cars. It uses the Renault system Also see Homo is having a sook about Vettel being luckier than him as he had a dominant car when he has won his WDCs, where he didnt ?!?!?!? LOL, he had the class of the field car in his first season and second season and only lucked into his only WDCl since which his maturity as a driver hsa goone backwards. He was a fair chance in 2010 with races where the McLaren was as dominanat as RBR and Ferrari at certain tracks. It helps when you dont run into people and lose points. If Alonso or Vettel was in the McLaren in 2010 they would have won the WDC in a McLaren Enjoy Mercedes and racing Force India and STR farkwit!
  19. Another car I will be pining over when at Racepace
  20. They will fit certain 17" rims, but not all. I couldnt get them to clear things like Work XD9s, AVS Model 6s or Gram Light 57s. But they will clear TE37s, LM GT4s, Weds TC05 etc
  21. So who is heading up this weekend? I will be up spectating and having a rather relaxed weekend on the cans
  22. Well the Stone Bros are likely to get a jump on Kelly Racing/Nissan as they are already testing their COTF Ford. So the they know the current cars aero performance and will be able to see how the new underwear fits with a known aero setup. I imagine that is going to help them understand the new chassis quicker then if they went straight to a Merc with AMG engine. I am really excited about next year. I like the variety of the Gold Coast round....i like the racing. SO the new manufacturers just adds to it. I just hate most of the drivers. The Kelly video I posted is the perfect example...the series has produced a bunch of media trained zombies who all sound the same. ie boring as bat sh1t. There are so many things Nissan could be doing right now that would be exciting and help build the brand in the series. But nothing but monotone drivers boring me with chit chat. (and I dont mind Tod Kelly) So to me the only thing they need to do now is let the drivers be themselves and inject some personality into it. Right now i dislike both HRT drivers, both FPR drivers, one of the 888 drivers...both DJR guys. Bring back mad Thomas Mezera, there was a guy I loved baracking for! lol floored genius
  23. Cosworth are killing Honda in Indycar. Thet even tried to get the A/R housing on their Borg Warners changed and still get spanked. And RBR and Caterham who use their system are the only ones to the best of my knowledge that use their own KERS. Even then RBR's Kers is a development of the Renault system
  24. I don't know what I want. I have a new gig that I don't really want so need some retail therapy to try to convince me the job at least serves an end
  25. Keep the GTR and sell the DR30. I know a buyer for it
