If your Yokohama's lasted you about 10,000kms and were really soft, then that would explain it. Well it should last your more then 10,000kms, but I assume your tyres where on the way out, at the time. Soft tyres are best for grip but have bugger all lasting time. Hard tyres will last longer but for them to grip, they will need to warmed up, but soft tyres will still be better for grip. Did you track your Yokohama's? Or were they already on the car and running low on tread..? Decent performance tyres for street cars should last about 2 years avg. I had Yokohama ADVAN's, nice tyres but were getting low on tread then I went Kumho ECSTA's.

What's his name on SAU? Is it "RB26"? I wanted my car to look just like his, but when I bought my R32, it did not come with the stock spoiler and came with white TE37's. Couldn't complain as it looks just as good, but damn the stock spoiler looks tuff!

Yeah man! My dad had a 260ZX, sold it, then wanted another one but could only find a 280ZX at the time. Would have wanted to go 260ZX or 240Z if they popped up at the time. Our 280ZX was rebuilt and tuned by Z-Shop. Great fun too.

^^ I have Splitfires and they are great! I have seen Yellow Jackets for about $370 + and Splitfires are about $480 + Ppl seem to think Yellow Jackets are good, if you don't want to spend as much on Splitfire, Yellow Jacks seem to be a good option.

Hell no! Had a retread on my dads car and on of the retread separated and we could hear this unusual noise and thought the suspension was playing up. It was the separation that was causing the noise. So we changed the retread to a brand new tyre. LOL! Are they the ones who specialise in 2nd hand tyres and then sell them?
