True about the gearing in the R34 GTR. Was not too sure where Wheels magazine tested the car, I will have to read the article again. The quarter mile times I posted are from a mix media, internet and magazines. Publish articles are more solid prof then from an internet website, unless its an official website of some sort... To me it is just an overall idea of how fast the cars are. I notice when Wheels Mag redo a segment on the R32 GTR, they just put the 13.7 secs (Claimed back in 1992) seem like they don't not bother testing it as it has been done... Just from doing a bit of reading, the R32 GTR weights about 1430 kg, the R34 GTR is about 1540 kg and the R33 GTR (websites have said) 1750 kg... So in relation to the R34 GTR being lighter then the R33 GTR. Any clarification for the weight in's of the cars would be welcome...

^^Also depending on the test drivers rolling start or launch at a high RPM and reaction time. All minor things but it all adds up.

R34 GT-FOUR is a RB25DE Straight 6 (Non Turbo), with about 147 kW with the All Wheel Drive system. When you say 4 Door, which model you referring to? There are 4 Door Non Turbo models and there are 4 Door Turbo models, which are RB25DET Straight 6, 206 kW, RWD.

That and from memory, the R34 GTR is lighter in weight + a bit more torque.

The quarter mile times I have seen vary on the internet and published magazines. Just from memory I remember seeing... R32 GTR: 13.7 secs (Wheels Magazine 1992) to 12.8 secs R33 GTR: 13.8 secs R34 GTR: 12.9 secs and 12.7 secs for the V-Spec II N1 Version (Wheels Magazine 2002).

Yeah I got up to the part where I am on a Battle Ship finding Mr. Burns atm. Seriously, the obstetrical they get you to do, they expect you to figure it out in like seconds, but I guess once you figure it out and next time you play it, it be fun. I recommend Paint Stripper. Got my car back from my panel beater and it was painted black so I bought a tin of Paint Stripper and took the front mount intercooler back to the bare metal like how my car came from Japan. Just heavily mask up your front bar or better, take your front bar off and get a cheap paint brush and start applying the Paint Stripper and watch the paint it come off. There is paint stripper for plastic and metal surfaces (different strengths) If your worried, get the one for plastic, but metal should be fine as that was the one I used. Intercoolers work best unpainted.

^^Either that or... You mean doing an Engine Flush, to get rid of any oil that has sludged up? If so, I would go easy on it. Some engine flush liquid / solutions can be quite abrasive so I do a light flush if needed. Speak to you mechanic to see which one is not so harsh.

That's normal for you car to rev over 1000rpm in the morning, cuz the car is cold. Once the car is warmed up the revs will drop to 1000rpm. Depending on the condition on your engine... From my understanding, R32's were made back in the day where Mineral based oils were available and that's what Nissan had use to engineer the car. A lot of ppl go full synthetic, but a top quality Semi Synthetic would be just as good for the older RB engines. It's normal for turbo cars to burn a bit of oil, just make sure you do your regular top ups.

Yeah no worries! But still take another look into the car, if it runs well and a tad quicker then standard, in a good condition... Do a bit more research, ask a few more questions and even take you mechanic down with you next time to see the car. The seller is negotiable on price so take a stab at it... He wants $18,499, then see if he will take anything in the $16K range. If not then you both meet each other half way on the price, say $17,500 or whatever... If he won't lower the price, meaning he still thinks his car has some good mods and can make 239kW's. (Trying to get some money back on the "Mods" he has done") If he is willing to lower it then you know it's pretty much stock... My point of view anyway and this is all in speculation, cuz I am not standing in front of the car and just judging from the Carsales add.
