Hks Twin Plate
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to donkey's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I had one when I bought my car. Unless you are planning to race and launch your car at 4000+rpm = pretty sweet. If you plan on everyday driving, you will burn it out in about a year = clutch replacement (Single Plate preferbley). -
32 Hicas Light/problem
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to Destero's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Its the same thing really. Now I gota GTR (Might be the same as GTS-T, Im not sure, just have a look) - OK so you check the one at the front in the engine bay. Make sure thats topped up. - NOW open your boot / As you are facing the boot, on the bottom right handside, there is a panel you can unscrew, there will be another tank/resevour, Top that up with powersteering fluid. The same thing happend to me and what is said above is what I did. End Result = My HICAS Light turned off. I have posted this before BUT some ppl seem to think the tank/resevour in the boot is for the ATTESA-ETS... Only other thing I can suggest its to get your mechanicn check the fuese in the fues box, do a wheel alignment and even diagnose the cars ECU to see if it can pick up any faults in the system if the light still does not turn off. BTW let me know how you go about filling up the rear tank/resevour (thats if you have one, LOL!), if that is topped up and switches off the light then I can say its for the HICAS. -
Looks friggin nuts abu! I see you got the GTR R33 wheels and they suite the R32 so well too!
-
Bought my GTR from them. They did a great job connecting my turbo timer and alarm all together. A nice job cleaning the car up and fixing afew things up. And they were the only dealer who would take a trade in from me. Their price is reasonable but I guess they are willing to allow better offers. Carizma is a SAU member, his name is David. Look him up in the members section and have a talk with him.

Try doing a Wheel alignment and checking the Powersteering/HICAS Fluid. -

Which Fuel For R34 Gtt? 91 Ron Or Higher?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to Wacky Dee's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
250km half way mark for me but thats hardly boosting and driving like a slow ass. LOL! -
I find that on Start Up the Oil Pressure can shoot up to the Dash just below 8. Highway crusing can be around below 4 and just normal suburb and city driving, it can be just above 0.
-
If you get the Gun metal ones it will give more "stealth" look (As posted by a member in another thead on the similar topic) Gold will look just as nice too, bit more showy but cuz ya car is black, it will go well with it.

Pillar Gauge Pod Or Din Gauge Pocket?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to SiR_RB's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Ha! Yeah I made sure the hose was straight and no crimpes. It actually came like that when I bought it so not going to mess around with it. :laughing-smiley-014: -

Pillar Gauge Pod Or Din Gauge Pocket?
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to SiR_RB's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
My boost gauge is mounted behind the steering wheel / boss kit. Sits nicely and well hidden from outside. One of the best places IMO. -
A slight revision on the engine / turbos ABS, Aircond, Sound System, Rear Wiper and boot carpets were removed to save weight. Crystal White Paint was the only option of colour. Basicaly next / higher model up from the V-Spec's.

Veilside is nice, you just have to pick the right one and have a nice set of wheels. But seriously tho, if you get a Veilside kit, you car has to modded pretty tuff to live up to its perfomance name, other wise its just rice IMO. Nismo Factory bodykit can top off the car nicely. Or get the Nismo Front lip for S2 GTS-T and R33 GTR side-skirts.

LOL! One time my HICAS light showed up and I checked the front powersteering bottle and it was full. My mechanic told me to check the back (I didn't know it had one at the back). So I had a look and it was low, I topped it up and the light never came on again. HICAS (High Capacity Actively Controlled Suspension) Earlier HICAS versions used hydraulics to steer the rear wheels. The hydraulic system was powered by the power steering pump and used speed sensors to determine how much and in which direction to steer the rear wheels. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HICAS ATTESA-ETS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All-Terrain Electronic Torque Split) Its more about controlling the Torque in the AWD System.

Need Some Info Bout R32
(OO)SKYLINE(OO) replied to very_noob's topic in General Automotive Discussion
1) Are you getting a GTS / GTS-T / GTR? Either way it will cost you money, like any 15 year old car, things will have to be changed then maintained. 2) Sooner the better / more experiance and just go easy on the right foot. Take it slow and get use to the car before doing anything crazy. 3) Good for drift if you want more torque but the CA18DET or SR20DET (S13, S14, S15, 180SX) will be better. 4) Reasearch into what you are buying, I preffer local dealer as I can see the car in person, bring my mechanic to check it out as to reading whats on the import / auction sheet and hoping everyword is legit. -

The C-West bodykit is a personal fav of mine, espcially ^^ thats got the Version 3 Front Bar, then I put the Nismo LMGT4 rims and leave the standard spoiler. You can try this company Vivid Racing in USA http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/cwest-m...8=15&page=3 Or EVO Motorsport in ACT http://www.evomotorsport.com/ They are listed on the C-West official website as overseas offical dealer in AUS.
