  1. when I get around to it I'll post some pics of my intake pipe to my airbox. It's raining at the moment so it may be in a few days.
  2. get an RB25 turbo instead of the VG30, on a RB20 the VG30 will be an absolute dog off boost. You can get the ECU remapped by Dr Drift, from memory the boost is up to 1 bar. Use a GTR cooler rather than an EVO cooler, not sure why you would want to use an EVO one on a Skyline... You'll be very VERY lucky to do all this with only $1K. You'll need to change your fuel pump too if you want your engine to last. If it were me I'd focus on handles rather than power. RB20's suck for power, ain't that right Roy?
  3. X-Men Legends is my current favourite game.
  4. to my knowledge you won't be able to remove the rear shelf as it's welded in the body. It's a structural thing. If you really must have rear speakers the way I got to mine was by removing the rear seats, after that everything was removed without issue.
  5. make sure it's the negative terminal you unplug on the battery.
  6. yep toothpaste works as well... this applies just for the R33's as they have plastic headlights.
  7. spotted SLY25T Monday and Tuesday morning...Homebush Bay Dr / Ryde Rd.
  8. The RB20 is a dog. Do what TimmyC suggested and drop a 25 into the R32...best of both worlds.
  9. if I'm not mistaken HICAS is only 11kgs (including the lines)...
  10. oMg YoU GoT NeON'S tOO? gReEn OwNs BlUe!
  11. r32 and r33 rims are interchangable without issue. I've currently got r33 rears on my 32.
  12. Merli - it's a Thursday night, plus if we have a big group they'll treat us better...it always seems to be the case with me.
  13. an S15 box would be good but you'd need it strengthened. What about one from the 350Z? I'd imagine the downside would be the cost? What's the weight difference on the 25 box to the 20 box?
  14. Cubes is saying use a RB25DE (the block and head) but bolt on the RB20DET goodies like ECU, manifold, turbo, plenum etc... RB25 from the R33 has VCT, R32 doesn't (IIRC). You can get a R32 RB25DE from http://www.justjap.com/ or http://www.sssautomotive.com.au/ These are in NSW but that way you can know what price your mechanic gets it for rather than having to pay his surcharge for finding... You could also search the forums, there's a guy with a brand new RB20 somewhere.
  15. happy birthday Shell!
  16. parking on the street? are you mad? Glad you got it back though...
  17. it's heresy for the R34! But it looks alright
  18. The garlic pizza is brilliant...The marinara pasta (the seafood one) uses REAL seafood, lots of prawns, bit of lobster or crab (shell and all). Only $20. Excellent value. I'm keen
  19. I'm fairly sure you want to run a 12:1 AFR
  20. There's Big John's in San Souci (on Rocky Point Rd). Big and cheap Italian food (mains pasta dishes are huge and only cost $15 or so, seafood is their specialty). If we make a fairly large booking (say 20 or so) we should be fine. Last time our group of 8 had a booking and still had to wait an hour However that was on a Saturday and they had a big gorup booking which had priority. Parking isn't the best as it's street parking but the area is fairly safe.
  21. you can get them serviced or repaired at the manufacturer but it's not cheap. The most cost effective solution is to purchase a new headunit.
  22. why would you want to do that?
  23. I have a Pioneer DEH-P5550 which is brilliant value for money. Alpine are very good but costly. JVC provide good bang for your buck.
