  1. Free bump for a good seller.
  2. Beware! The thread Nazi's are back in town!! Run for the hills! The hills I say!!! edit- not hills motorsport btw.
  3. Uh so what exactly was done, I mean if it's got a stock computer, stock setup is there anything apart from setting the CAS to the correct advance at idle? This is a serious question, unless the ROM was tuned? Or something else?
  4. Aiiee, the good ol' banana in the tailpipe.... although I've heard that since moving to Melbourne Troy's been getting a bit of the banana in the tailpipe... and enjoying it!
  5. hahah well you need to install the incorrectly, the intake was 2 teeth out.
  6. Nah bro, you've just got to get a large angle grinder - or better yet a dropsaw. That's the problem, you're acting too pedantic and being far too meticulous with your work. Hack harder and you'll go faster. I bet it takes you 3 weeks to do a half meter section of intake pipe? For budget's sake you could have a toggle switch that turns off a couple of coil packs mounted in the cabin.
  7. It's alot easier if you go straight to a peripheral port, or a large bridge port. Running a stocker isn't going to cut it, especially with a restrictive exhaust. Lucky Brett went straight for the extendedly bridged peripheral port, and can now hang his nuts out with the Pac crew. Rockin!
  8. Just posting this up for Ben. Apparently was tuned today at CRD, on pulp and ~20psi made 394awkw. Full boost is late 5000ish rpm. Street exhaust, no playing with cam gears yet, more to come later. Will be at the Sports Compact event next month at WSID.
  9. Yeah but Bu5ter's car hasn't scratched the surface of what it is capable of doing, if you toned it down alot you could still have a 400rwkw motor that peaks at 7,000rpm. There are a million threads about the oil issues RB's have, I think the unmodified RB30 would be excacerbated by the fact it runs 2 large supplies to the head, the RB26 unmodified has 1 blocked off. But again this is all covered in a alot of threads already on SAU. A good example of RB25 to 30 is 88sil's car (Mark) - the 20Ghad full boost under 3,000rpm (was it 2,500?) and was all over by 6,500rpm. On an RB25 it's more like full boost at 4k, all over by 7500. Hang on will dig up dyno graphs.
  10. Class capacity restrictions is one off the top of my head.
  11. Dude with every post there are more misconceptions brought into the equation. You start off talking about a street motor on pump fuel, then jump to quickest GTRs in the world, then back again to street motors and longevity, and then talk about theory and limits. Throughout all of this you've thrown in misleading statements, outrageous and unverified claims, and total bullshit. I only get my back up over misleading information, if you want to go ahead and talk up RB26 combinations go for it - I really don't care. But other people can and will get the wrong idea over misinformation, which isn't a good thing.
  12. Cummon what?
  13. Heh will submit my essay later after work. Base physics seem to be overlooked, so will have to include a chapter on that and basic mechanics as well. Oh and if it was only oil surge/spun bearing, why does piston 5 have alot of detonation peppering?
  14. Ouch... how much damage to the head (esp the combustion chamber on 6)? Pretty respectable effort, haven't seen something that smashed for a long time! Edit - that quote from R32R at the top of the page is wrong, very very wrong. I think he's got things crossed up.
  15. That was an earlier turbo setup on my white car Ash, the 25G is Brett's old setup. Either way you look at it, with 3 motors + cars with near identical bolt ons (Greddy plenums, 550cc injectors, aftermarket turbo kits, intercoolers, cams etc) Brett's car still kicked the shit out of mine or Brendan's car.... and Brendan's had a rebuilt motor. Made more power, and did alot more MPH than either HKS 3040 car. The 25G comp wheel is between the GT30R and GT35R - similar inducer to a GT35R but smaller exducer
  16. Ooooh Mark + Lizzy sitting in a tree R-B-3-0-D-E-T hahah

Any chance of getting the article scanned for those that are too lazy to subscribe or go buy a copy (like me)?
  18. Where is this autobarn 10 second R33? Haven't seen or heard much about it, would be interesting to add another GTS-t to the drag ranks. The 25G compressor is more like a GT35R sized comp wheel than a GT30R one, when something works why try to change it?
  19. HKS 2835R would do the trick, but you can get T3 housings to suit the TD turbos too.
  20. Going to be a fantastic day, really couldn't ask anything more of the weather. As for cars there will be heaps, good luck to those running!
  21. Good post Adam, too true.
  22. Nah, I am the proud owner of a stocker!
  23. Oh, so you mean I can be competitive in my stock GTS-t? That would be great, then I can mouth off on all the forums about it.... errr hang on
  24. IIRC the Jun Bonneville car used twin T78 turbos for it's high speed record. But if you want to talk high tech the T88-38GK has some features that are way above Garrett's GT series.
  25. Hahaha what happened to my post? Too queer for some of the mods?
