Purple R33 Skyline Just Stolen In Launceston
Mr. Untouchable replied to zoidbergmerc's topic in Tasmania
this constant stealing of skylines and just car theft in general makes me a sad panda =( gawd its getting out of hand. and the police do have ago, only to be let down by the legal system. I spoke to a copper named gordie I think a few year back at a servo, poor bugger had just had his S2 33 nicked and he was after parts to fix it. knew who did it, got them, and stuff all happened, let out hours laters with a red wrist. it shits them too dont worry. there will always be theives, coming up thru the ranks of scum who work for nothing, have nothing and never will but are more than prepared to take what you have worked for. few things I did with my car for a few years whilst it was my daily, parked in moonah everyday. 1) quick release kit for the the steering wheel. need to have aftermarket wheel, boss kit and release kit, certainly keep the scum wondering the it has no steerer! 2) immobilizer with flashing light in view. I think better than a alarm/immobilizer is 2 kill switches. put one the the boot and one in the car under the dash or where ever is out of sight. unplugh the coilpack wiring loom or the ignition mod. in a 26 or S1 25 etc. even unplug the AFM or CAS. I even adjusted my widnow stops so the side glass came up further than factory, so it jamed up under the pillar, so they cant use a bendy rod the unlock the door. they would of had the smash the glass. the little f**kers may well read this. bottom line is, if they want it, they will take it. you need to make it harder, take more time, make them need to bring more shit and make more noise. always park the car in light or lit up areas if you must park it on the street at night. And if you drive it to work try to keep it on a main drag if possible. or with passing traffic. they do get taken from yards and garages, not as often but it has happened. when coming home anytime but epecially night, if someone is behind you, pull up before you get home or do the block and whatever. try to put the car away with the least amount of eyes on it as possible. really IMO if you cant park it off the street out of view or in a garage, you shouldnt really own one. back when i used to drive my car often, if i parked it in say the city, i'd take the wheel with me and pop the bonnet and disconnect things etc so anyone watching would know it wouldn't be a prise the window open and cut the immobilizer job and go. and never leave the car if it breaks down. stay with it, and if you must go, let the tires down or take the AFM with you, whatever. if anyone can catch them I'm more than happy to take the down to tasman island or pedra and tow them about to see if i can rouse up a mako! -
where is the rust mate? and also what color is the car? not pearl white? I used to work for bocchino's or "ETB" and also SSR and know a few of the lads about the place. superfinish are reasonable, diprose do fair work. you get what you pay for mate.

^^^^ my car was built in the mountains of japan by godzila himself. 30k its yours hahaha
-
yeah updates, my favourite build. get on it lol
-
there is also a 34 GTR V Spec II NUR here too ( Millennium Jade). has aftermarket wheels but thats it.

Tweety is correct, 19 were sold to the public, (all re purchased std GTR's by nissan with under 30k on the clock and hand bult), seam welded the lot. 370kw's etc. 2 were prototypes, not included in the 19. I think nissan still has the prorotypes. 2 are in Aus I think, one has been here (in tas) & has ACT reg I think and was used in the dutton and few times. autostyle did some close mock ups but the interiors are very different and most dont have the z tune front guards/fenders. plus they are not done in proper z tune silver.

cheers Brad. looking forward to giving it a run. Yeah funzy, thats next. I'd like to fit a Capel motorsports diffuser, but atm I'm just going to flatten it out under the ass from the diff back, get a decent angle and smooth up the airflow a little. thats going to happen in the next couple of weeks. the budget datto is starting to take shape.

thanks mate. will be doing the E85 trick early next year, thinking 370rw wasps or so with a slighty beefier midrange should keep me busy for a while. bonnet is Mu Secret. but that z tune style only comes on the S1 bonnet, S2 is different. good bonnet tho, I'm happy with it.

few pics of my car atm. not 100 complete, bar is just sitting on there. got a Bond cage to go in it and quite a few other odds and ends, brake ducting etc new oil cooler. its registered (was my daily for 3 years) but wont be seing much road use now, hoping to do all the hillclimbs in Tas next year and all the suppersprints plus a few private days, should see atleast one event per month and atleast one small road outing a fortnight in the nice weather =D cheers

hahah the cars name is sooty. now its sooty the transformer, 'dattotron' just a slapped togther pic, still got things to do on the front end, going to put a new water pump and belt idler/tensioner etc on it and a few other odds and ends. still got brake ducting, crabon plates and mesh to go back in her. Roll cage (woolls old Bond cage) and few other rear suspension bits sitting the in workshop waiting to go on. just wanted to get a pic of the ol beast as i'm away next week so wont get a chance to fit it up properly for a little while. still got lots to do, but i'm getting there. hoping to run at every hill climb & supersprint next year.

cheers funz.. I put a lot into that bar. not bad for a bar that I actually threw on the trailor to go to the tip, then grabbed it back off 2 days later and hacked into it with a grinder lol. car is coming togther, I worked out I'm up for about 5k, maybe a tad more to get it "done" but only gotta spend half that to get it back out on the track. thats to E85 it, barrel of candy juice and a tune. just going to run in on pump for a bit longer and get used to the car again first! not going to see any track work this year, I want to finish off a few things like painting the interior out etc and with only 10 weeks or so til Xmas Ive still got a bit to do. in that time brodies GTR motor/box needs to go in and things need to be fabbed up for that. next year, its on like donkey kong. shake n bake
