  1. oi oi this will be enough of this ruff timed!! lol =) race chrono super GPS gadget that has every track in aus mapped out and pumps out your splits as you go, red is bad green is good! haha top bit of gear yeah tires were R888's up front, Adavan AO48's on the rear, Will stick some fresh R888's on the rear of the old girl and a 'revised" coilover setup. I'm at the limit with my rock hard bull shit Teins & factory swayers and funzy is at the limit of his diff, then maybe power. still I think 61's maybe 60's shouldn't be too far away! weight and suspension for me, diff and power for funzy.
  2. I'm keen on the Sparco seats mate, you have email
  3. hahah, oh its not very friendly is it! same boat as you mate, got some things that MUST be done before i hit the track again, the beast must be tamed =)
  4. Hi Guys, Just sorting out some bilstein shocks, and I'm looking at springs. Question 1, will GTR springs fit GTST shocks? I dont think so, but not sure?? And any suggestions where to get springs, Looking for 7-5kg range to suit gtst shocks. found some 6kg apexi springs but they suit GTR. also I am after linear springs. any help would be appreciated.
  5. yeah great day guys, always learning, looking forward to getting out there again with some improvements to my car. well done to those who helped organise it. Good way to spend a sunday, with like minded datsunoholics
  6. i'll head out sometime after 10, as I'm about to go get on the piss and have yet to bleed my brakes or service the car hahaha. she'll be right!
  7. semi's, I'm no expert, but set em around 32 cold, then bleed them back after your first run staright away whilst hot to 38. they should drop back to 31ish cool. put atleast 32 in them befoe you head to the track tho!
  8. dude, no good. just run without one, limit yourself to 5 laps at a time, 20 mins between runs.
  9. haha, uhhh ..., Fastway just dropped my pads off :-/ farkin typical. Now I have pads in stock.......
  10. well, went into fastway first thing today, long story short, they have lost them. As much as i wanted to axe kick someone, I need SOLUTIONS, not PROBLEMS! So anyways Hamish At revolution Is getting some in thisarvo for me, will pick them up later. I have some GS610 fluid here, un opened, winner! And I just dropped my rotors off to be machined. so should have some reasonable stoppers by tonight. and re Navigators, nup, helmet & long sleeve shirt and their good to go. no cost. I'll have a nav at some stage on sunday no doubt! =) weather forcast looking good for it.
  11. zoid, the factory calipers mate. when the next set of pads are flogged out I'm gonna grab some Ksports 8 pots, too many good reviews for 2k to pass up. Justin, dunno mate, I'll be going to see the dick head couriers first thing, hopefully i wont need em. Ben, I use QFM A1RM pads, aussie made, work from 0-780, and can get them for around 130 for front or 250 front +rear. they are dusty buggers, can be noisy but are very very good value! and they dont chew rotors too bad. its not their fault, they sent them the same day, fastway have had them in hobart for 8 days....... I hear its being bought out, well i can say they have a shit load of cleaning up to do, coz the ass holes there couldn't run a country chook raffle
  12. mmm things not looking good for me, brake pads have been here since the 12th, but still have not received them! thanks very much FASTWAY you hopeless mut mong clowns! Will try to obtain them tomorrow, on that note anyone have some good pads they want to sell before the w.e lol? HEEEELLLP
  13. haha nah, 62 is all i have managed out of it, but fairly consistant 63's My coilovers are my biggest let down, wayyy to stiff and just doesnt soak up the bumps well anough around basky, always farting around getting it down smooth. going to invest in a better setup in the coming months. bilsteins def on the cards. Pull some weight out of it (still retains aircon etc) so hoping to pull min 50kgs out of it and add 50-70kw's. plus some other suspension odds and ends.... see what I mean!! still in the transition from a trackable street car to a streetable track car. eventually aiming for something simular to what Woolls has achieved.
  14. Hi lads, looking forward to this, hope the weather plays ball, I'm waiting on some new brake pads to arrive, so starting the get a little edgey about that! I dont want be Mr negative party pooper bubble burster BUZZ KILL here, but for the guys who haven't done a track day or many of them, I think you will quickly see that a monthly thing will be a tad too much. You will quickly realise that you need/want to upgrade various bits of your suspension (unless you have a full blown all out 15-20k suspension setup) You will get sick of street rubber, and if you drive your car on the street regularly, you will want a second set of rims with semi's/race rubber. Brakes, you will want good pads, good pads will be chewed quite quickly so, only going to get a couple of track days out of a set really, with some street driving included. you will want to machine rotors between pad changes and then fluch fluid etc. not the end of the world but few hundred bux every time this is done. Ideally you will want to service your car, plugs/oil/filter before a track day. I dont know if I believe it, but its often said 1 lap at the track is equal to 1000 kays on the road. I thinks it more like 100 kays at the track is equal to 1000 on the road. I think once every 2-3 months would be ideal, like a summer SAU day, Winter SAU day etc. just A idea. Not saying everyone will be out to brake world records, but you'll be going as fast as your car/abilities allow. My cars goes ok around there, but I want tp spend another 15 on it lol, track days are addictive, and its great to ring your beasties neck, coming out of turns out of shape, painting lines and not be worried about Mr Plod standing up the road with a radar in hand, or angry motorists. Its a healthy way to get it out of your system, and the urge to play up on the street is greatly reduced!
  15. I have had JJR upper arms front and rear for over 12 months now, good quality and after bouncing off ripple strips at 170 plus, they deff. seem up to the task!
  16. I'm going to ditch my tein pogo sticks for a bilstein setup soon. Elite racing developments or ERD do 'kits', last time i checked they did a bilstein shock with extra circlip grooves for hight adjustment with custom king springs i think. was well priced a year or so ago, give them a try. for camber arms front, rear, traction rods and castor rods, Just jap has it, along with other good stores and sway bars are easy to get hold of, ebay etc Unique autosports has a lot also, bushings for the diff etc, all kinds of goodies. cheers, Jack
  17. I'm in
  18. screw nobes, he can be My Nav!!, Providing I have my brakes done I'll be there.
  19. hey dude, haven't been through all the replies but hers my 2 c worth Brake pads, dont bother with standard OEM stuff, I'd recomend QFM AR1m's. made in Aus and very cheap ($119 fro front, $119 for rear on SAU), work from 0-780 degrees. Fluid, use something respectable, Revolution race gear has good stuff that wont send you broke. Braid lines are nice, not a "must" tho Put a sock/sweat band on your power steering resovoir, it will spit and dribble. check your tire preasures before you head out/if your have semi's dont forget a guage. I alway over fill my 33, I use castrol edge, 10w60 and put about 5.2 litres in. dont use your handbrake after a run, leave it in gear. a few tools and zip ties dont go astray, epecially the gear to tighten cooler pipes etc and if you run big spacers on your wheels or run "big" wheels for fitment, maybe grab a smaller set, rubbing/scraping fails hard at basky that about covers it, bar helmet etc basic stuff. loads of fun to be had!
  20. yeah, next time. I was silly to go back out, brakes were not exsistant on the ride back! bloody hell those QFM pads are good tho, worked awesome down to the indicator! just orderd a new set + spare set.
  21. spotto'd funzonator out for a sundy "frash" at basky today, loved it, pitty I let my pads get that low, was having fun chasing the kermit mobile about
  22. Cloaky from labella Pizza has one
  23. okay, there's not too much to report. Since it was put back together, it has had the windows tinted (25%) we fitted a Mini spool to it, improved out of corner traction, much more fun to drive. The head shat itself, so whilst it was off @ Tas Engine reco getting welded up, it received some further love. It has had a tidy up of the ports, 5 angle valve job, failry agressive Cam that Matt from Tas Engine reco had ground By Crow to his specs. head went back on and the ECU also got a pre Progamed chip which has give it some extra stick. made 109rwkws on GT's dyno a few months back. Its going to get a XF T/B and better intake along with a Nistune chip in the near furture as Mr summers mentioned it could better as it was quite rich. Some bigger wheels might be on the cards down the track, and maybe brakes. Brodie has A 32 GTR Vspec which the motor out of it is being built now, so the 31 has to wait a bit longer. It will take a few years but the 31 will be a monster!
  24. putting bilsteins in her dude? thats my plan also. I know a bloke who just had coilovers put in his. I'll ask what he's done with his old shocks.
  25. yeah u can buy harley davidson type lock downs that bolts deep into the ground, used to have one to tie down our boat, they work well also.
