  1. haha I would if I could mate. the stock one has 9 bolts, all 12mm heads. remove the crossover pipe and TB... easy peasy
  2. Also, for this type of job and for almost any job, one of these bad boys are the ultimate. the whole case is around 60-70mm long and they fit in the tighest of tight places, yes where the sun does not shine. Tough as nails, I regularly slug mine with a 4 pound hammer. Only goes up to 13mm But you can by extra sockets (any brand) if you need them bigger. this & a set of ratchet spanners is very handy indeed. made by Teng tools.
  3. the plenum top section isnt that bad to get to mate. (Geee it would be a good chance to fit a plazmaman plenum whilst your at it......)
  4. Rear camber arms are easy to install. They really should also be installed along with traction rods. if its a pure streater, and your tyre wear is good (even wear) then I wouldn't waste the time and money installing them. If you have lowered the car quite a bit and are seeing bad wear pattern then I'd say grab some and get it aligned. for track work they are great.
  5. hehe - tip. Hamish at revolution and SPG both sell a good range of wheels, and they both sell quite a few different brands. its worth the trip form north hobart to moonah for a bit of bargining!
  6. mmm good car and bloody good driver he is!
  7. SOLD SOLD SOLD
  8. Spot on. Power delivery, reliability and consistancy is they key!
  9. MMMMMmmm the skyline gods were unkind. how did Jaymie go? I think I saw his car on saturday, in the cbd which made me think he didn't attend?
  10. Hi all, I have a set Of R33 GTST struts in excellent condition, removed from my Gf's car. They have a full set of king springs fitted to them. Unsure which model (hight) but I'm guessing they lower the car aprox. 40-50mm so around 2" lower than standard, quite a bit firmer than standard also. These are great for people who want a lower stance and better handling over the stockers, without sacrificing ride-quality at all. The struts will only suits ECR33, but the Springs will suit 32's and 34's aswell I think, just have to fit the springs to you original struts. Chasing $150 Cheers, Jack
  11. I remember watching a 33 gtr a few years back at powercruise wipe out the entire field in the off street drags. on investigation, BAM other than a nismo FPR and a autech style oil air seperator on the cam covers, It was bog, rock stock. was a well setup car, good driver. I have had a fair amount of respect for racepace since then!
  12. I was thinking the same thing, a killer head package or maybe it drinks jungle juice.
  13. rough figures? your not a forum warrior unless you have hektik ZOMG figures to boast about. Track times mean zilch stock 26 on what, -5's with supporting mods with track work in mind.... thinking 18-22 psi and 340-380 RWKW's?
  14. who did the wheel alignment? or more so who did you trust to do it lol?
  15. still for sale, not advertised else where so no massive hurry. will give Jackson C first dibbs, if he doesnt want them I'll let you know.
  16. depends where the gate is plumbed back in. If it plumbs back into the dump not far from the turbo I disagree. if it plumbs back in further down the exhaust near the cat I cant see it being a huge restriction but if you merge it back say 30cm from the turbo I reckon it will upset the flow a bit. Not trying to say its the main problem but all these little things add up. the cat is a cheap fix and there IS gains to be had there.
  17. the flanges have the same shape size etc as aftermarket 3" gear but the actual inner diameter is like 63mm for memory which is basically 2.5" bore the suckers out to 3" and put a piece of 3" pipe in there or buy a pre-made decat. and dumping the gate to atmo wouldn't hurt. less gasses trying to escape out the exhaust pipe. mate id be trying the cat, maybe a exhaust cam gear. after that, garrett .82 rear and a nice highmount manifold.
  18. the stock cat is 2.5". and remember, the smallest point in the exhaust basically determines the size of the exhaust. Doesn't matter if you have a 4" dump and cat back, if you have a factory gutted 2.5" cat, that is the size of the exhaust. You can un-bolt the cat and bore/grind the stock flanges out to 3" (there is enough meat there) and put a straight through 3" pipe in the stock flanges. Then weld the original cat body back on for a stock look (a good idea if transport/police are hard in your state). the cat may be gutted but its still necked down = turbulance and poor flow.
  19. I have one, I'm in hobart.
  20. 225/40/17 mate. thats pretty stretched. I'd look at something like Kuhmo KU36 or Hankook RS-2's, Or federal RSR's on the front and maybe some super steel 595's on the rear if you planning on constant abuse.
  21. Is this still available? will take it if so. cheers
  22. You bloody young whipper snipper! causing trouble LOL
  23. cost. it can be painted pink with purple flowers and yellow teddy bears on it and can still be prepped and carbon covered. Anyways, my point is if you cant afford/ be bothered to re-do the carbon, it can be painted. And will still look trick =)
