  1. I fitted the V1's into my girlfriends 33 GTSt around 4 months ago, great hight adjustment and decent ride quality, not too stiff at all. I'd recomend them for street use.
  2. I've fitted dual GTR bov's on my car. They work perfectly, as for sound, they sound excellent - very quiet. as far as sounding "exactly" like a GTR, I think you really need to mount them in the same position as a GTR (under the right hand front skirt) on the cooler entry and run the factory plastic solid return pipe etc. there is some pics in this thread how I mounted them... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...90&start=90 cheers
  3. 61-62's IS fast for a street car, but I wouldnt of called them street cars. no door trims, no dash etc. not legal anyway the 33 was on brand new AO50's etc
  4. mmmm I woulda thought they woulda been 58 second cars, atleast the 33 anyway.
  5. wow some shit went down today... nasty nasty. lucky me gets to watch them from my backyard on sunday!! grass tree baby not sure exactly, someone stacked it, and I think Glenney in the RX8 stopped to check if everyone was okay and another car cleaned everything up but the possums =(
  6. arrr that explains it. I'd like to know what times they ripped out
  7. Sorry, Well this is something I haven't heard much about, and just wondering what the results were like, and wether you had played around with it much. My car is rwd, so any added traction is alway in order. what sort of spacing are we talking 1-2mm or 10mm?? regards, Jack
  8. would love to hear more about this!
  9. bloody hell, I'd be pissed too. And I was thinking about grabbing a set of these soon too.
  10. what an amazing build. Top stuff!!
  11. fitted a new diff to my car yesterday. What a improvment! my old diff was paris hilton spec, ugly slogged out and worthless. Gotta be worth atleast 2 seconds round basky!
  12. spotted two GTR's in salamanca. a gun metal 32 with 34GTR wheels, with another set as spares on the trailer, I think it was from Vic or maybe qld. the other was a midnight purple 33 , Top secret (gold) edetion rays/volk LE37 wheels carbon bonnet with do luck front bar I think. They are not stickered up, no targa plates. look like time attack/super sprint cars. had a good hard look around the 33, pretty serious bit of gear! can't really think why they would be down here, would have thought targa, but the 33 certainly isnt targa legal and not sure about the 32.
  13. just fitted another diff into my 33 gtst. I purchased a second diff so I could work on one without pulling out my orginal, plus I have a spare housing so when I do finally get a 1.5 way I can slot it straight in. anyways I pulled the new diff down, very clean and very good condition. It already had a 0.8mm shim plus a 1.4mm shim, so it had been done before. I added another 0.8mm shim to this. So all up it has 3mm of preload. just put some 80-140w nulon high performance oil in it and took it for a lash over some twisties. I'm really impressed with it, very predictable. It's pretty damn tight, kinda mini spool spec doing a 3 point turn but its not too bad. for the money/effort I think its a excellent mod. Very impressed
  14. Decimated a 330KW 33GTR? with a turbo prelude or something? well I beat F430's and GT2's with my mums camry
  15. no one has fiddled with the manual screw adjustment on the throttle body??
  16. mate option1 garage on here sells there KU36, (treadwear rating of 180) for $236 each plus around 15-20bux each for freight. great tyre, you wont be dissapointed.
  17. 280, 296 and 310??
  18. Its not all that hard to fit factory recirculating BOV's into custom piping. I recently mounted factory GTR Bovs in my car. I've used the bovs, the mounting section and the factory 'Y' peice to make things more simple and easy. Not exactly pretty but it works, and well. I welded a piece of 2.5" pipe into the 2.5" hot pipe just before the cooler, which mounts the BOV's just under the factory airbox location (FRH skirt section). Off them I run dual 36mm hi temp silicone hose back up the the factory GTR 'y' section which then exits into single 2" , which is connected to the 2" pipe now mounted (welded) into my intake pipe. they work really well, no reversion, very little noise and 'like factory' performance. sorry the pics a pretty kinda shithouse...
  19. NO WAY.. I finally got around to fitting GTR BOV's to my car last weekend. I have previously run No bov and then a atmo blitz bov(due to laziness and not having GTR BOV's), the car is so much better to drive. No gay hektik noises going on. much better between gears, no popping and over fueling and running like a hairy goat. makes life with a large turbo on the street much more enjoyable. (AFM equipped anyway)
  20. heres a interesting catch setup. The car belongs to a tuner here in Tas. I wont go into all the specs, but its a 25, 8500rpm, nitto pump, 11L sump .85 restrictor in the rear and I think 1.5 in the front enlarged oil returns etc, he does run the rear -12 drain on the rear of the head and said he found it did... not very much. hydraulic lifter still. anyways just thought I'd put up a pic as I found it pretty interesting (sorry if no one else does!)
  21. brother david, like the 400r bar and Jun skirts + pods at the bonnet looks good painted with the vents being left carbon. I'm not sure about the rusty rivet air brushing, maybe rust scares me because I'm a panel beater lol.
  22. ofcourse she has good taste, she picked me..... haha cheers
