heres a pic with the bar on, its still in primer obviously, prob not going to rub down til i've got the front guards finished, they are going to get a bit more flare work, then prime. the old man was onto me to fit the bar as we have a garage crawl with the classic ford club 2moro. They are prob not going to think too much of my jap crap anyway lol.

this a little update. wing uprights are cut out, just need to sand some file marks out, buzz them off with some 240g and I'll etch them up and paint them satin black. they were such a bastard to cut out, 10mm thick alloy plate is nasty to work with by hand. I'm still in the process of making the wing blades/ends. making dual blades, should have them done in a day or so
-
My baby lol. bout time it got a build thread. some serious man hours went into this, really have to see the car in the flesh to appreciate how damn straight it is and how well the paint is done. custom cam and modded ecu and mini spool makes for some cheap thrills too. 109kw's of box love. while most other young men are out chasing tail and pissing up their pay, we sad souls are dragging old unloved nissans out of the sticks and giving them makeovers lol. hurry up with pics brodie, typical slow ass painter

my ass dyno/aero effects-o-metre is light years ahead of that shit. i'll test it by running with it at the track, then unbolt it and run with no wing and see how it compares. I'm tipping around a 10-15k loss of speed on the back straight but a hell of a lot better car to drive.

Well I've got the day off, and I'm making up my wing stands and have measured out my custom 'jack's backyard aerodynamics' wing ends. 360mm stands to get the sucker at basic roof line. The wing blade is a carbon jobbie with a sorta built in gurney flap, so, hope it works as well as looks. and my dual wing blade/ends should be pretty unique, should have it close by the end of the weekend.

no, you need to buy semi's bro! you couldnt run in the sprint class (street rubber) class anyways, it must be rego'd. I'll most likely run open anyways, see how quick I get the car going over the next 6 months. Basically, if i can't dip into the 59's at basky, I'll buy some kuhmo street rubber and run it in sprint class.

They all look spot on, nice job to the guys who did them. 7 is my favourite by just a smidge, looks mad! cheers

stroker smoker. I read it as if it comes out NA, its must be NA, if its comes out with a SR, then no RB or 13b etc. if its a RB shouldn't matter if you've squeezed 5litre out of it with magic dust. no R32's with Q45's etc.

marketing marketing marketing! tis important. I think it will take off, its something that seems to be growing well world wide. And I think because it will put all different types of cars in the mix, it will be healthy for the local motorpsort scene. it shouldnt be as hard on cars or equipment as drifting and should be less than super series I guess. I do hope it takes off, would be great to see half a dozen or so events held each year. combine that with the hill climbs, drifting and super series etc bit going on.

Hi guys. Just something I've been thinking about, I couldnt really squeeze time off this time round to go to superlap this year. could have but family business, its in my own interest to knuclke down and make mullah. So, next year I'm planning to go. But rather than just fly up and watch, I think I'll organise a trailer and tow my car up and have a crack. Would be a fantastic experience. obvioulsy I'll be putting some more work, time and money into the car but the aim is to go up, have fun and hopefully come back in one piece. would be a great learning experience, still get to see some of the worlds fastest cars in action and get to steer at EC. would either enter street tyre class or Open (semi's) probably going to have a spend min 5k between now and then, but thats fine. and without the car itself, fuel in the tow car, accommodation etc and meals and entry plus ferry, i'd guess 3-4k. thats allowing 1k for fuel 2k for ferry. I have family in syd, not too far away, maybe 45 minutes from EC, plus I think I can nab myself a trailer for nix. so if anyone was thinking of having ago and would be keen on a roadtrip, something to think about anyways.

I'm not going to be able to make it out to this one, waiting on some gear to arrive.

Volk Racing Ce28N Rims + Tyre Package - Aggressive Rims
Mr. Untouchable replied to GTR_001's topic in Tasmania
sand blasting works well. better quality rims dont go all pitted and nasty. the primer/etch bites really well and bronze/gold is easy enough to do, pick the color in base coat and clear them out with a dulling agent to get the satin effect. and re-repair is easy. thats that we did with my wheels, about to do some more for the front of mine. your looking at about 80-100 per wheel roughly. going from your current wheels to cheapies is a CRIME -

Stiff Shocks
Mr. Untouchable replied to KnightRiderR33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
piss them off and use bilstein shocks with kings/whiteline or eibach springs. get extra circlip grooves for height adjustment. Or have sleeves fitted to them (ie HSD sleeves) for full height adjustment. even the basic BC BR coilovers will be better than your Teins (ride quality wise). no doubt your tein's are valved like shit and are probably tired, plus springs rates to suit a jap touge car (much like the Teins I've just filed under B for bin) I even think Tein super streets are pretty average. I fitted some to a WRX I drove for around 6 months, okay but didnt feel sweet like bilsteins. I also drove a 33 gtst a while back, 4kg springs all round (what they come with) and car felt bouncy and wrong. to answer your question they are not worth buggering around with unless they are top of the line Tein's, then getting someone like Race Pace to tweak them would be a good option but if they are just HR's or HA's or what ever not worth it IMO. Cheers, Jack -
I am a qualified Panel beater (although no longer in the poxy trade) Pickens would be one of the best in the state. run by arse holes, decent paint and panel. most of the guys are ex bocchino's. Bocchino's do good work (worked there for 3 years) but you'll pay and they are too arse holes from hell. failing that, superfinish are not too bad.

Adam Funz on here or Funz has some 17" enkei wheels for sale. IDEAL for track work for the weekend warrior.

QFM pads are best bang for buck pads out bar none. Aus made, and they rock. I run A1RM pads on my car and they are bloody awesome. and yes, machine away. a fluid flush is always a healthy option too.

I'll try to have everything sorted ready for this. less than a month so I dont really like my chances too much, but will see how I go. always wanted to have a crack at the basky hill climb, might have to wait til the next one, dont they hold 2 at basky for the series?
