So what difference does a lighter rim make? As 99.9% of us wont be wheel to wheel racing as most of our cars are road cars, with maybe a bit of track work every 3months. More so, as its rotating mass, does it make a difference. Just interested to know, my rims arent going anywhere no matter what. Just good to learn.

Can I ask. What did you do wrong? Because that sounds to me like a pretty major mistake x3. Mostly to the point you would have to be losing the company some signficant money. Sorry forgot to update this. We put the car on the dyno, tailshaft just wobbled like nothing else. So we went back to the driveshaft place. They said AND I QUOTE!!! "yeahhh it was the uni's we have had a few probs with that sort recently, so we put another type and brand on, should be ok now, bye" I was not overly impressed, if it was for the sake of $50, I would have paid the bloody money in the first place. But its fine now 180kmh still smooth.

Dont companys HAVE to give a trade discount to mechanics etc? As in legally have to give the discount? Thats my understanding of it, only because one of my mates whos been a mech for 15 years or so has told me so. Wouldnt have a clue otherwise. Wholesale is different. And shops that sell at 'wholesale' prices are a joke.

To give you an idea my mechanic did one of these with the N1 twins a few years back, and they couldnt find a dyno back then that could hold the car down to tune it out to redline. They were using R32 N1s as well. It made 350rwhp at 4000rpm then just spun up on the dyno no matter what they did. And my mechanic said he would NEVER EVER put his foot flat in that car, it was too scary, yet he's fine driving 500+hp RVRs. That said, the engine did have a fair bit more work than yours. Id say you will easy make that power and it will come on like nothing else. Will be one fun as car!

Your going to hear bad things about all workshops. APC are good, mercury are good. 101s tuner is good. Matty Spry at PITS is good. Thing is, which PFC do you have? Cause if you have the normal one, I dont think you can just take off the AFMs... If you want stuff done on the motor as in rebuild/headwork go see JH Hill.
