  1. Dude, Id just get out of Canberra no matter what. Its just too cold. But I guess its not bad. Depends what your in to.
  2. Can I also make a suggestion in light of the 'cefiro_pwr' problem. Maybe if there is a sticky topic of "BEFORE BUYING PLEASE READ THIS" and for the people are are a little green when coming to buying goods off the internet just have a list of do's and don'ts? The thing I noticed in the cefiropwr is a fraud thread is many people said they could see he was dodgy, yet others couldnt. Even if it stops just one person getting ripped off, or scares one dodgy person away its worth it. Id also have the above idea suggested with a list of a few people who are willing to help out, I think that is a tops idea. As I say tho, just a suggestion, some people do need a little help or direction at times.
  3. Welll, lets just say, I have an rb25 box, and a GTR fly wheel, and a RB20 clutch and pressure plate, and it all bolts up, if and when I go to an RB30, its still all going to bolt up. Shes apples mate.
  4. Well I just uploaded my epic with pics. So that should send most people to sleep for a while
  5. Also its wise to drive it as it gets the gearbox oil etc warmed up too. I mean, what difference is there between putting about or the car sitting.
  6. If you can get a pic, or a diagram or something of that spacer thing that would be awesome. But Im pretty sure mine isnt too low, could be, but its been raised a hell of a lot now, I just think its too stiff. StoleCCs is fairly high at the front too from memory, not 100% tho.
  7. I finished my little article thing. I tried to keep it down to 3 pages... I think I still forgot a fair bit of stuff... Is 3 pages too much? Without pics?
  8. LoL, dude you can have my 30mm one Because I have the same problem of wearing the outside of the tyres Doesnt make sence to me!
  9. 15hours to do that drive? That is fing white lighting.
  10. Anit lag is really about it without going to the crazy twin charger set ups. But do you really want to remove all lag on a street car? Thats the reason I went the turbo option, I can put round all day with no boost, and use bugger all fuel.
  11. Ok, this MIGHT be a silly question. But as Im not looking at ways to spend money, is it posible my 30mm sway bar is less stiff than a smaller diametre one? And is there a way to find out?
  12. Fun? They are not too bad, but the gateway has to be the killer.
  13. The record without going all out is 8 hours... That should keep you nice and busy to stay awake. But yeah, lots to drink. If you feel sleepy, pull over every 60-30mins. Stop, have a power nap. A 15min sleep will do wonders. Thats it mostly, just do not fall asleep, pull over. It is a long long straight bit of road. Pulling over 3 times more than someone else does not make you any less of a man or anything. It just keeps you alive longer. Oh, and skittles, starburst, anything with lots of sugar
  14. There are other ways to get around lag. If your doing it yourself the motor thing is just far too much effort. Factory is much much different, they have a lot more money to throw at R&D, and production. Other ways might be, a good tune, a good exaust manifold. Keeping the exaust gases and their heat inside the pipe work, hot air travels faster as it is thiner. You can go for a heavier than standard fly wheel. If the car is already rolling, jump on the brakes and the go go go pedal. Basically putting load on the engine, and bring it on boost earlier.
  15. Nope. Looks bad when no one posts. If its an information sorce I think its much better.
  16. LoL, that is crazy hey. Whats going to happen when you guys put turbos more suited to the engine Out of interest can anyone punch some figures on what a flowed rb20 turbo on an rb20 actually makes?
  17. Ohhh yeah. And after talking to him this morning he said JUN flywheel = shit, cause its too thin But he said it should be ok for one machineing. Next time go for something nice and heavy. He also said its a VERY VERY VERY good pressure plate and to NEVER throw it out. Nismo style or something. So thats good too.
  18. 33.3% less than an RB.* *the above information may or may not be made up on the spot with little to no actual proof.
  19. I remember one of my mates had this problem. He actually had the injectors modded so they had this spray thingy on them.
  20. Umm, I have to sometimes hit my button quite a few times (the one in the car) to unlock the doors. Yours could have a similar problem?
  21. I got another motor put in the drivers side door and went for keyless
  22. Just take pics man! So if anyone else does go to do it, we all know.
  23. After actually thinking for once today, I thought hey, lets measure the thickness of this here front sway bar. Its 30mm+ thick. So Id have to say almost 100% front springs are far too hard. So once its back from getting the gearbox changed over, thats the next step. [edit] So then I remembered to add in the question part... What would be a recomened spring rate? The rears are at 200lbs, and seem ok. I would have been thinking 270-280 lbs??? Maybe a bit less. And then probably have the need to raise the car a bit more again.
  24. Yep both are black, and a bit more glossy than Id think a stocker would be. Thanks And also Nico! Its got a 9 pluck ceramic clutch, and the guy wasnt lieing about a Jun light weight fly wheel, its nice hey. Just a shame its all on the pulsars floor at the moment about to take a trip to Jim Berry tomorrow. Gearbox conversions add up a bit when other stuff needs machining etc. Oh, and aluminium sub frame (I think...) bush thingys. All it needs is a big arse motor, and softer front spring.
