I'm now running the SMP client and GPU2 client on my PC (Q9400 & 9800GT) and another SMP client on another spare Q6600 I have. The SMP client seems to be folding much faster than the GPU2 client on my PC. But we'll see after about a day or two.. How many iterations per second are you guys getting on your GPU's? I'd be happy to help anyone out trying to install the SMP client or do a write up, it took a little bit of fiddling on Windows 7 x64 but it's working now and the process is easy. Getting KiloWatts out of your car is one thing, contributing to saving millions of peoples lives is another.

haha, I just was installing the GPU client before checking this thread again. I'll probably run both and download the SMP client and run that too. =) EDIT: Holy crap that's one massive protein my vid card is folding right now!! Heaps bigger than what I used to fold when I OC'ed with my ol' P4 2.8GHz Northy. Good to see that the highly advanced GPU's can be more useful than just rendering entertainment.. EDIT2: Now Running F@H SMP Client and GPU2 Client. Computer still is extremely responsive, great improvements in the programming it only uses the CPU/GPU cycles that are idle as soon as you need your CPU it's all yours, instantly! Everyone be running F@H now, there's really no, or very little pitfall, simply pause it for games if you are a gamer! Not to mention, having an overclocked computer running full blast for a long time with a nice amount of airflow acts as a pretty nice heater using less electricity!

This sounds great, I would love to get back into Folding@Home. I've installed the Systray client, it appears to be working.. It's not really using up as much CPU as I would like. Anyone have idea's on how to optimise this? I've got three idle Intel Quad Cores ready to contribute. My name is account name is qeel3120

I got Steam and all HL/HL2 mods. Would love to play DotA tho. And huge +1 on the idea of playing Race Driver: GRID Those skeptikal of PC gaming should give GRID a go imho.

Turbo About To Die? Gurus Help!
HtwCHACtkh replied to HtwCHACtkh's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
This could sound viable.. I had one notch of Freedom 98RON E10 left in the car when I filled up with Shell V-Power and the problems started. What is pinging exactly? Damaging? -
Turbo About To Die? Gurus Help!
HtwCHACtkh replied to HtwCHACtkh's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
My apologies, a number without units is ambiguous! I mean 140km/h, speed, and my mate has a really really long driveway, everyone including myself pitched in a little to make it. I haven't checked for any smoke yet, however I will do that first thing this morning once the sun is visible. Do I have to check for smoke under load or would free revving tell a story? Or both? Also, I think it would help the diagnosis if someone would be kind enough to explain the difference between blue and white smoke.. never really understood that. Regards -
Hey guys, I have a stock (well, FMIC, Pod, no more) R33 GTST (series 1) and I noticed yesterday morning, since starting the car was running really really rough, dips and hesitated through the low rpm like crazy.. 1000rpm-2000rpm was really lumpy, idle was really lumpy.. 3000rpm-4000rpm seemed fine, 5000rpm had a big dip, no noise that I noticed tho at this time.. By the end of the day, around 6pm ish (and replacing a 15 year old battery that just randomly died on me. what a day..) I notice now under high boost (4500rpm+ yes stock boost) I get this really strange rattling sound, kind of hard to explain but I can get a very high quality audio recording of the sound easily. It's kind of like ball bearings in a tin. I feel like the car is hesitating a little but eventually pulls through, below 4500rpm is fine now, very smooth. Car seems to be running really slow, I used to top out at 170ish in Third now I test it now and it tops out at 140 tops.. Tested on a mates long driveway. Weirdest thing is problem only started to occur yesterday morning, after having a comfortable and smooth drive home the last night after filling fuel up late at night. Gurus help! Should I stop driving?

Hey guys, As the name suggests I'm after the R33 GTS-T (Series 1, even tho I dont' think it matters) Stock Airbox, don't need the snorkel. Also, I'm after the fan that runs off the belts of the engine that sits behind the radiator, I think it's called the clutch fan. Pretty urgent, ideally would like to pick up from anywhere in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area since they're both pretty bulky!

I love a highly responsive car, makes the ride feel a lot more in touch.

Not bagging you or anything, why not just use some degreaser and clean the oil around the rocker covers? I just did it 2 days ago, pulled of a lot of old oil. Funny when I bought the car tho it got a road worthy and it was all still there. And if it indeed is not leaking, it should stay clean for a while. Sorry I can't suggest anyone however I am also interested in recommendations.

I would really love to help you right now but not really that good at deciphering the model number yet. GGKARENR33EDA----- Essentially should tell you everything. ............. Hold on a sec I found a way to prove its transmission, it's an Automatic Transmission. You can tell from the AT and to confirm that I checked the parts and you can see there it's an Automatic Transmission. I just confirmed with my car (R33 GTS-T) that if it is Manual MT.F5 appears there. Probably all been explained earlier, but for those who tl;dr. So your car is an Automatic NA R33 Coupe 2WD in Gun Metal Grey. Not a bad cruise.

(For some reason I can't edit, this has happened to me before =/) I downloaded Nissan FAST and installed it all just find just to find out the Nissan FAST setup file is 16-bit, and of course 16-bit got axed in Windows 7 x64. So when I try to run it asks for a CD, does anyone know a way around this?

Hi Guys, Sorry for the really late reply, I haven't been in good shape the past couple months.. In and out of hospitals/doctors. =T (This was the reason for the lack of sleep) Since some people were keen on the end results of this blunder, I feel obliged to inform the people! The X-Trail came out just fine! Took it to Nissan they flushed the fuel system, drained the E10 and replaced the filters and put diesel in it and it worked again. Was in the workshop for no more than 2 days.

Strange *bawwwp* Sound Under Boost
HtwCHACtkh replied to HtwCHACtkh's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Definitely from the front of the car mate. -
Okay let me do a quick situation analysis: So you've got your OLD HDD with your screwed up Windows XP on it in a caddy that you can plug into another computer and you wish to get the files off the OLD HDD but it's telling you access is denied in certain folders, is that right? Solution: If so, you can take ownership of the folders on the OLD HDD as long as you're an Administrator on the other computer on which the HDD is plugged into. What do you mean by your "PC Crashed" ? It might be an easily fixable software error. If you need more help feel free to ask here.

Hey guys, I'm getting this really weird *bauuuuwwpp* like sound in first and second gears when under boost and wide open throttle, it's pretty damn loud it over rides the sound of the induction and engine noise.. It tends to get quieter if I keep driving hard.. What could it be? At first I thought it sounded very electronic more than a whistle of any sort! Car is R33 GTS-T, Current Mods: FMIC, POD, 7lbs boost using grounded solenoid. I notice I don't get the noise at all if I leave the boost at 4lbs (just leaving the solenoid circuit open) I'm thinking boost leak, but it's not consistent through the gears and boost levels.. =/ Car seems to drive okay. Belts maybe?

I know a guy on eBay who can get EL Dashes for a price less than that, however he told me he needs more demand before he can order them in. I seem to like the look of the Reverse EL dials..

Or if you can find something like an external touchpad? or... a keyboard/touchpad combo like this? http://www.eyo.com.au/prod_KM-WKB1_proddes...h_touchpad.html or http://www.hboutlet.com.au/catalog/product...9bdd825987dd534 That was just some quick searching I suggest doing some more of your own, I'm keen to see how this turns out.
