  1. dotn do it it is not an upgrade it is probably a down grade. compare the rear opening on the turbo your rb 25 on is 48 mm bet you the s 14 one is smaller cheers

  6. try redarding your timing a bit b4 you go say 10o it should help ore make a note of both positions normal and 10o and if you need to low low octane then move it back 95 houdl bo ok if you dont have the boost wound up meggala
  7. you wont find an r32 for 10-13 k why cause you cant bring them in atm so they are scarce. hence supply and demand. and an r34 gtr for 48 I doubt it un less it was stolen or the guy was in serious finacial trouble meggala
  8. a great read steve thanks for sharing the japs also tend to have biiger exhausthousing and laggier cars cause they spend alot of time in heavy traffic and off boost. if you want that low down power I would be tempted to go for the the smaller exhaust housing and put up with the lack of top end if it exists. I also think the compression drop was part fo the cause for the lagg to be exadurated (spelling) as the cars stock compressin is very high and I think it was required for safety. put hte smaller exhaust housing in and see what happens you might get a surprise and it might be quite good b4 you go and change exhust manifolds. meggala

  11. dont be dishearted for a first time to the track check your timing as this could be a cause for a lack of power also you boost was probably more 8 psi than 11 also you might have reved the car way past the power band try changin a bit earlier did you change to 4th b4 you crossed the line. still after all the talk you got the motor in and the car running which is great now come the refinement. my first time in my r32 at the track I ran 15's. with tuning and practive I got it down to a 14.00 @ 99 mph that was an rb 20 with rb 25 turbo the lack of mph in your time says to me timing and boost also your car could be running really rich which will affect power. cheers meggala yes they do need to be finely tuned to make the power trial and error will get good results now you see why us aussie spend so much time on dyno's.

  16. here are the reasons more info on the swap is on my web page http://meggala.com the car has made 140rwkw and weights less cause the sr is alloy no cast iron. cheers 1 no need for a custom plenum. 2 power fc bolts straight in 3 there are heaps of parts for them. 4. it makes the weight distribution 50/50. 5 there are no high profile ones and i like to be different. 6 I found some one who is willing to do the conversion for a reasonable fee. 7 the motors are more torquey. 8 the gearbox just had 2k spent on it in a full rebuild 9 the motor only has 80 000 genuine klms10 when I need to upgrade things like pistons and injectors I will only require 4 not six The car has fully adjustable suspension gtr cooler and is blue metallic

  22. for 200 rwk I would say to you talk to dr d_drift @ bmt he has a few stock rb 20's pretty close to the mark with stock motors turbo up grades etc no need for a plenum. he can also retune the stock factory ecu. your main area's to up grade are turbo cooler exhaust the rb 25 turbo is not going to get you there you need a bigger and better one 2530 or a t 3/4 front mount afm up grade exhaust fuel pump. possibly injectors. its very doable though. meggala
