  6. hey iron chef, while we're on the subject. how much would a grade 4b 100k+ kms genuine clean example fetch these days?
  7. take it to local mechanic. pay $5 - $10. ask them to impact wrench it off. easiest way. your killing yourself.
  8. yeah eligible but don't think anyones got compliance evidence for it. personally i've never seen an autech r33 gtr in sydney nsw.
  9. hey i just changed my gearbox oil yesterday. tried to take out the gearstick but couldn't. then had to refill at the bottom. does anyone have a step by step tutorial on how to remove gearstick? i heard you need a right angled long plier to remove the stick?
  10. perhaps the easiest and cost effective way is using carbon adhesive film made by 3m. i got my r33 gtr wing end plates wrapped and it only cost me $40 from a store.
  11. are you from sydney nsw? i know someone who makes custom white dial faces with your own logo or emblem. around $200 mark.
  12. Buy a Ford. you won't regret it. their engine last forever. why do you think most taxi's are all fords and not holden.

  18. ok. when you say "Overfill the Sump". is that for general street use or only track days?? because i'm hearing mixed stories. some people say overfill your sump even for street use. but the question is. wouldn't that just damage the engine?
  19. Since we're on the subject on rebuilds. is it possible to do a full long motor ONLY standard refresh on r33 rb26 for 5k? no big power. nor only track sessions. just for daily commuting. cheers

  22. judging by only the photos. it doesn't look like a 47k car. more like 70 - 90k. only way to tell is to inspect in person and test drive. offer the owner a refundable deposit to test drive. if he refuses stay away.
  23. general rule of thumb when buying imports. disregard mileage. look at the condition. 49,000 kms should be no less than showroom condition. auction grade 4.5 big B at the very least.
  24. A lightened flywheel is excellent for track but for street driving i wouldn't even bother. as others have said its a pain in the arse. initial start-up and low revs your car will start to jerk back and forth.
