Mine are machineable the qoute for all 4 corners pads and rotors machined plus labour around $400 drive in drive out.

  13. There is a guy on ebay who is in japan who is selling full sets front and rear for series 2 stags ive emailed him to see if he can get slotted rotors from japan if he can and the price is right a group buy might be in order. It seems pads are easy to access now tho but i think i may need new rotors they are badly scored i wish dba would make an equivalent it would make life so much easier. Thanx for your help chuckie it is appreciated it seems the series2 owners arent very well looked after compared to the parts available to series1 owners
  14. Basicly my brakes suck so i wanna upgrade after reading the 20+ pages on brakes my head is f$%ked my car is a series 2 4wd rs4. 1> Is there a str8 bolt on dba rotor for my car (with or without modifications) 2> Can i bolt on R33 rotors and calipers (with or without modification) 3> Do i need or should i use braided lines if so is there a direct replacement that is the same ie:r33/r34 4> How much fluid does it take to fill the system from empty Most of the info in the brake thread is for s1 cars but not much for s2 if maybe the admins could seperate the 2 sections so people with s2 cars dont have to trawl thru 3000 posts to find info that would be fantastic
  15. Order thru MV then have Knox fit it from what ive heard knox know their shit shouldnt cost more than $200 to fit
  16. This happened to me the other day i was running 225/40/18 now got it repaired and put 2 235/40/18 on the back but it sounds like the diff has a whine in it now any ideas. Is it likely to have caused damage only drove about 5 kms @ 60km/h or could it be tyre noise from the new tryes
  17. My volvo moment came 2 weeks ago at my local exhaust place i live in country vic so import knowledge is rare but this guy has a rep for working on some of our local skylines. So i took the stag in where i found the 2 young workers who would be doing the work picked it as soon as it drove in and commented on how clean it was so they knew what it was. Then they jacked it up on the hoist to start work and the boss came out (50+ year old hot rodder/drag racer). Now picture the stag on a hoist with open mesh rims about eye level then me standing at the front door and a big nissan badge and brake caliper right beside me the boss looks me right in the eye and says "shit thats the best looking volvo ive ever seen" The two young blokes now under the car are on the floor laughing and me standing there with a not so amused look on my face, needless to say when the work was complete a test drive with the boss was in order he now thinks i own the fastest volvo too

    spot the stagea

I spotted a red s1 ground floor multideck @crown. Also a a white s1 with dolphin grille in bendigo on high st and a black s1 on kings rd sydenham with female driver.
  19. $6,$10 or $20 is cheap insurance to pay considering some f#@ktards would smash your window for a pair of sunnies or your boostgauge. One of my workmates had his brand new audi window smashed for a pair of sunnies and about $4 in loose change cost him near $200 for replacement glass he now pays the $10 for parking. Im not saying its 100% safe but certainly lessens the risk of damage or theft.
  20. OK for all vic members attending crown i work security at crown and we are also responsible for carpark patrols within the complex we also have alot of staff who park in haig st vehicle thefts and damage to vehicles in this area are huge please do not park there. Both crowns carparks are secure and have 24 hr security patrols. If parking in the multilevel carpark park on level 6 it is the only one that has video surveilance if parking in the basement carpark find my blue stagea and park beside it the boys in the patrol vehicle keep a eagle out on my car . I know it is no concilation for your vehicle being stolen but may be a reminder for others to very wary of where they park thier vehicles.
