  2. The Apexi AVC-R is an electronic boost controller, so you wouldn't need another fitted. You're probably thinking of the Apexi SAFC, and that adjusts air/fuel ratios. If you're getting a Power FC fitted I don't think you'd need the SAFC BATMBL off these forums sells cats and front/dump pipes that many members would recommend, so start off with him http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=15558 Stock R33 turbo's have a ceramic exhaust wheel, so keeping the boost under 13-14psi is recommended Sounds like a great buy, so good luck with it and all the best
  3. Even if you weren't lying, you jinxed yourself anyway..
  4. I'm fairly sure its a Nismo option front bar for the R33 GT-R, with added canards for aerodynamics Its similar to the Nismo 400R front bar, but with a different lip Edit: Ok, I think that one above is the 400R front bar with a series 2/3 GT-R front lip
  5. Yep its out, I think it was released today (10th June) Oh, and the XBOX version also came out today
  6. He's been suggested Protek, Chasers, Racepace, and Ice to carry out the conversion, and they're all reputable workshops with great feedback judging by members of both SAU and NS.com. Are there any other options open to him?
  7. Hey all, a friend needs some help (its posted on NS.com by him, but an answer here wouldn't go astray) A mate's auto CA18DET S13 had its gearbox screw itself over. He was travelling on the Princes Highway normally until he stopped at a set of traffic lights, and when he accelerated, it wouldn't go over 40km/hr and was revving at around 5-6k rpm. When checked out, there were pieces of metal floating around in the gearbox fluid when his mechanic took the tray off. If possible, is there a cheapish way to fix this? If it isn't an easy job, he's looking into getting an Auto -> Manual conversion, and was wondering where in the SE suburbs (he's around the Knox area) would it be good to source and carry out the conversion (preferable if they could source the parts and convert at the same place). EDIT: Also, what would the cost be? He's been quoted $1650 (parts only, without labour) with a new clutch, and it's in Sunshine (!), and how long it's expected to take? Thanks in advance [prae] & PANDA18DET (NS.com)
  8. GTS4 doesn't necessarily mean it has 4 doors, the 4 means that it came with the AWD system similar to those in the GT-R's. Choice of going GTS4 (All Wheel Drive, more grip in the wet) or GTSt (Rear Wheel Drive, easier to get the tail out) is purely your own personal preference, not that of some randoms posting over the Internet in a forum. If you really need to, take a test drive of both GTS4 and GTSt R32 GTSt's are below the power/weight limit, but judging by what's listed for mods, the police'd have a field day going over it.. As mentioned before, BOV's that vent to the atmosphere are illegal, same with certain types of pod filter. If you're going to put an FMIC on later down the track, the pod WILL give you troubles (maximum of 1 intake modification, so its either a pod filter or FMIC).
  9. meggala (member of these forums and is located in Vic as well) had an R32 running an S13 SR20DET engine a while ago, but I can't find any information on his site about it Better off PM'ing him
  10. Fair amount of money you're looking at, more cost effective to work up the CA18/SR20 or put a worked RB20 in there if you were desperate for some RB action
  11. That isn't a new law, L platers have been able to drive any car as long as there was a fully licensed person supervising them (parent, relative, instructor etc) for a while now. May be stupid, but eh, as inconsistent as Centrelink The power-to-weight and engine capacity-to-weight ratios imposed in Victoria were put in place to reduce P plater fatalities and accidents etc. Debatable issue, but as long as the ageing government and traffic authority officials have their way and hoons continue with their actions, these laws are here to stay for quite a while.
  12. Engine mounts, R33 GTSt gearbox (identical internally to R33 GT-R gearboxes less the front transfer case for AWD), radiator (stock 180SX radiators won't cope with an RB26), ECU, brake upgrade (to atleast R33 GTSt spec), new intercooler piping, new front pipes for exhaust made up, and getting the whole thing engineered + roadworthied. No you can't turn the 180SX into AWD, well, not without truckloads of money It's cheaper to dump an RB20 or RB25 (or some hybrid of those two) into the 180SX. Also, why ditch the stock CA18 (89-91) and SR20 (91-97) engines anyway? They're great engines with heaps of potential (except the CA18's are getting a bit old now..)
  13. Its a photoshopped picture, but damn that's ugly :
  14. JW0 Millenium Jade? The colour they used on the Nür editions? The first picture really shows it, the second very lightly, the third just looks silver? Just random guesses here..
  15. Top car, just the GT-R badge is : And welcome

  17. Late '94 is the start of EF series 1 and the end of ED series 2's (boxy shape) I think both had the 4.0ltr inline 6 The EF and EL had a similar shape (like the VR - VS, and VT - VX commodores) and the only differences were the wheels, different badging, and slightly different interiors.
  18. lol Welcome
  19. A 94 model wouldn't be an EL, more likely an EF series 1. Great cars and a shape that still looks good even after 11 years I'm guessing he paid about 6-7k'ish, since its a series 1 and isn't a Fairmont/higher spec model. Great purchase though
  20. Condolences to the family of the officer that died. Leaving behind his wife and 2 year old son.. Nobody needs to go through that pain.
  21. OT: Cheap wine comes in 5 litres+? I've heard about the $200 + 3 points thing as well, so it's only a rumour?
  22. http://www.bee-r.com/main/parts/aero/b334r01.htm some finished pics they don't look too bad..maybe with a milder kit? the widened rear gives it that slightly meaner look I reckon
  23. Big congratulations May you both lead a happy life together~
  24. They're the older style GT-C's
