  1. how much to make me one to suit the stagea? probably only needs to be a little longer, i have a flange near the diff too looks like a pirate!
  2. i really like the origins mate just won't have money to spend for a while massive eoi on my behalf let me know if anyone else thinks about buying them and i'll see what i can come up with could you also maybe look at shipping to 4226 qld or depot to depot to the gold coast area (usually works out heaps cheaper than door to door) thanks!
  3. yeah your right but i am not the only one using the car im also thinking that the stock maps are really rich at high load, more boost = more load, less boost = less load also the more open the throttle, the turbulence and resistance from the throttle body (pretty negligible thats the theory to the warm air intake thats popular in the states, gives slight fuel consumption improvements due to using less dense air etc, less power, more throttle, less resistance) also, wouldnt more boost = more load? so running lower boost on a day to day basis (if you kept the driving style the same) would also be better
  4. sorry, i should have said, thats the method im using at the moment its acutally a down grade for an rs4s as the stock ecu runs at 7 all the time, so my setup lets me force it down to 5 psi i'll be driving from tas to qld again in about a month and its pretty good on the highway like that because on a big hill you can bury your foot and only use 5psi and the natural torque, this would also keep the air flow down and therefore stay on a leaner section of the fuel map i might see if i can get the stock setup to bleed off a bit more on high boost with a slightly bigger hole in the stock restricter
  5. yeah but i want to be able to run 2 pressures one for me, one for everyone else
  6. i think its a great idea, about time too all the pc sites have reviews of new products, why not for cars?
  7. hey guys currently running 5-7psi on the stock turbo (rb25neo in a manual stagea) just wondering if anyone has recommendations for my current situation. I run 5psi most of the time and leave it set to that, my gf takes the car to uni a bit and i actually like to run it on lower boost and use more throttle and the natural torque of the engine but at 7psi it was only dynoed at about 135awkw a couple of years ago (previous owner) i want some more go and was thinking of taking the boost up to 10 or 12 psi there is an eboost street going for about $250 locally to me that i was thinking about or can i solder and redrill the restrictor out to allow more air to bleed off? what do you think the best option is? i'm also thinking about getting a nistune come summer, hence not wanting to run 10-12psi all the time Thanks, Tom
  8. this sounds good i've love to have enough funds to buy heaps of cool gear to test should be a great source of reference too, i've been trying to find out if the eboost street is any good and it would be nice if there was an unbiased review of it
  9. i'd leave the rear main seal till your clutch needs doing thats probably $300 worth of labour to get the gearbox out most of the gaskets are actually gasket goo too probably $200 worth of oils (if they use good stuff) $40 of coolant $10-20 for brake fluid $35 for the air filter buy this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OEM-NISSAN-SKYLINE-RB25DET-60K-TIMING-BELT-SERVICE-KIT-R32-R33-R34-RB25DE-RB25-/200661926708?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb8620334#ht_1691wt_1112 thats what i used on my rs4s for the 100,000km service, probably cheaper than the waterpump they would charge you for and you get a new timing belt and idler bearings
  10. drags on the 29th? pretty sure i'll be there this time
  11. what was wrong with the cat not fitting? what exhaust system are you running? just read, the 34 ones are 340mm long. all the others are 320mm i'll measure and let your know
  12. pretty sure, only the front wheel tho i pulled my turbo off to change gaskets and the front wheel was black (not from dirt)
  13. one day i'll put mine in rwd mode when its up on stands and see what happens
  14. dunno, the jewbot infront of me decided to turn to the right so it blocked my view as we both passed on each side of it it was probably andrew or tim, they both have white ones
  15. actually 25neo turbos have nylon compressor wheels and ceramic exhaust wheels nylon reduces the mass moment of inertia of the wheel = less lag
  16. the one i saw was white
  17. just run a good oil flush before your next change rb30's are notorious for it so i ran 2 bottles of flush with some of the cheap gulf western oil though my r31 and it came up really well used the same oil again for my stepdad's commodore too you'll be surprised how black it will come out!

  19. http://www.neosyntheticoil.com/high-performance-5w40/ gf-4 - does this mean group 4?
  20. 33gtr, its the auto guys who stuggle to lock their hicas (if its optioned) because their rear cradle is wider
  21. because old hicas tends to play up and get really buggy/worn/does random stuff new hicas is good unless your on a track and know the exact conditions etc
  22. was SCRAPS there? (white kingswood i think)
  23. saw a cool white stagea in mowbray today
  24. sounds like you have a few issues there you'd smell a fuel leak prob a boost leak then get a touch up tune and make sure they re-activate the o2 sensor
  25. sounds like you got a little ripped off http://www.gccorp.com.au/automotive/product_info.php?cPath=54_57&products_id=72 i might try this next service, supposedly 1 year or 40,000 kms change period (but needs about 3 filter changes in that time)
