Well it depends on a lot of things - temperature on the day, how much hp you have, how heavy the car is, what tyres you are running, how aggressive you are under brakes, how much ducting you have, stone guards etc etc etc. DS2500's will be fine for a three lap run, ie warm up three laps, cool down. Which is pretty standard for drive days & lap sprint events.

He hasn't worn it for the last couple times he has appeared on the podium. Don't think he had it on at Indy, for example. Personally I hate the damn things. Much rather see the drivers in their grotty overalls who look like they have done something.

The Baron is spot on. On full throttle most people pick an AFR in the 11.5 to 12 range. Or thereabouts. 13 is too lean. On light throttle you can go for a stoichiometric ratio (Look it up) which is 14.7 from memory. In between should be, um in between.

Yes. See photo. I had them made & zinc plated (actually cad plated). They work fine.

My thoughts: You can get a set of RBA slotted rotors from the group buy at a fraction of the price of the DBA4000's from any normal outlet. So irrespective of which may be slightly better (I have no reason to believe the DBA's to be superior simply because they crack from the stupid little return slots on the rotors) they cannot be sufficiently different to justify spending extra money on the DBA's. Oh and don't bother with DOT 5.1 nonsense. Find a bike shop that sells Motul RBF600 & spend $28 for 500ml. You will fade the DS2500's around Wanneroo long before you boil that stuff. Trust me I know from btter experience.

Wow you knocked back the captain of the Australian cricket team? Personally I never liked Schumacher since him & Walkinshaw stitched up Roberto Moreno. Anyway Adelaide was always better than Albert Park. A bit like Monaco really, ahh memories. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2KfCtTcG0k...ted&search= Schumacher was a hack. A hack I tell you.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrpYIq0NbFM...ted&search=

Sounds like both your rotors & your pads need replacing. Measure the thickness of the rotor and compare it to the wear limit that Nissan recommend for your car. Check the group buy section for some good prices on the RDA rotors. Lastly, actual has two a's. Rotor has none.

What do you mean while warming it up? Doesn't that involve driving away?

Another vote for the 1990 livery. Much nicer than the 91 effort. By the way, what was the number of the chassis Skaife wrote off at the 1990 Australian GP? And does anyone have any photos???

I used the gaskets that came with the HKS dump pipes. Need a re-tune - maybe, maybe not. It depends how much hp you are running & the wastegates capacity to dump the requisite amount of exhaust gas. A recommendation? Take the engine out & do the extractors as well as the dump pipes. Wrap everything in heat proof tape.

Personally I hope Power gets the chance to spank his arse before he bails to Toro Rosso. Rumour has it Andretti may be on his way to Newman-Haas. Would be good to see. Hope the French GP is a good one this year. Sometimes it is & sometimes it is THE most boring race around. I hate it when the bloody tennis interupts the French/British GP's.

Well he is no Takuma Sato. I guess my opinion is formed by the thought that winning in Champcar these days doesn't prove alot. But he has done a few test days & Berger is not a fool by any means. So maybe. I just doubt it, is all. Is he better than the current line up probably comes down to the size of the cheque he can write. I don't reckon the current drivers are too bad. Compared to the pair of twits at Jordan, um Spyker anyway.

Sebastian sucks wang. You heard the reality here first.

Just get a Nismo pump.

Apexi make a nice pod filter set up that bolts to the Z32 AFM's. It includes the plugs you need to splice into the loom. I have that kit + two Bosch AFMs, which with a cover work nicely. If you know just about anyone in a trade they should be able to source the Bosch gear at a discount or trade rate. They are a direct equivalent for the Nissan items, just cheaper. Cheapest upgrade uption is still some Nismo AFM's however.

Dimensions Of Brackets For Radial Mount Calipers
djr81 replied to djr81's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the info. What I was chasing were the locations of the bolts on the other end, ie as they bolt up to the hub. The outside biut is ok as most manufacturers publish this data, but the Nissan end of it I don't have any info on & don't believe I can measure it up accurately enough. -
Well sorry about the title. What I am after is the PCD, spacing, & offset from the rotor centreline(in plan view) for the two bolts that hold the stock caliper onto the hub, or in the case of an aftermarket caliper hold the mounting bracket to the hub. The two are shown in this photo (Pinched from this very forum) just in front of the drive shaft.

Well the wash up is as follows. From my workshop: "They (Supplier of intercooler) are still arguing that your car is in fact fitted with an R33 GTR cooler and bumper support...bla bla bla." To be clear the car is a stock standard R32 R sitting in a RAWS workshop some four weeks after being complied & registered. So for anyone looking to buy this brand of cooler for this particular car please be aware that it probably won't fit. Sorry if this post contravenes any rules, but it is about as even tempered as I can manage.

So out of interest can you offer any insights with regard to RB rod lengths?

Greatest F1 Driver Of All Time?
djr81 replied to Kozeyekan's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Wasn't there some bloke from South America called Fangio or something? In another random assault on those who think that domination was only invented in the eigthies. Introducing the 1965 season. Specifically the German GP (At the Nurburgring). Round 7. Jim Clark won it. It was his sixth victory of the year. Ahh I hear you say - but what happened to the other race. Well he didn't win the Monaco GP. Why? Because he didn't enter it. Why? Apparently he was busy that weekend winning something called the Indy 500. The only GP's he didn't win (There were 10 that year) he either didn't enter (Monaco) or suffered mechanical failure. In the championship his score was perfect - only the drivers best six races counted & he had six wins. It illustrates that counting points as a measure of greatness is basically worthless. I would reckon whomever comes third this year will eaarn more points than Clark did. -
So how do you sign up for this track day? It is a practice day at Wanneroo. You need to be a member or to make other arrangements. Just turn up at Barbagello race way? Ring them up & talk to them. They are nice people. At minimum you need to do some preliminary safety inductions etc. Collie is a better bet for those without paperwork or preparation. Although it will probably be pissing down & there will be drift people there. You get your car scrutineered in the morning & do as many laps as you can be bothered.
-
What sort of shock do you have? There is no point, for example taking your Bilsteins to WA Suspensions as they don't deal with them. Cost? Don't know. What do you get? A graph. Which will be useless to you if you don't know how to read it or what you want.

Greatest F1 Driver Of All Time?

Yep, good point. No world championship but a buttload of cash & a supermodel for a missus. If only I wasn't a chinless wonder. -

But Warney only cheated on his missus, which obviously isn't as bad as cheating in cricket. Besides his Mum has some good stuff. Well as far as I know Schumacher only started the road safety thing after the FIA made him do it in response to him running (or trying to) Villeneuve off the road in 1997 or whenever it was. By the way I have a Jack Brabham driver safety thingo at home that my old man once had - so this sort of thing has been around for a while. I always enjoyed seeing him do his little leap... Organised by PR men I tell yas, Pr men. You say jaw size = success. So explain David Coulthard....
