  1. Which is why you should always drive with the window up.
  2. I was wondering where the photo in this weeks Auto Fiction was taken. Car was, not suprisingly a Formula Nippon or similar. Dunno why it had James Moffat's name on it, though.

  4. Big call....
  5. Yes.
  6. I guess they must be relying on the fact that not many people are going to turn up this year.
  7. I would refer you to the previous statement about keyboard warrior weiners. That's me. Can't make it Thursday (work), but will be there Saturday for the SES.
  8. Never mind the pics. Post the damn cover!!!
  9. Which optima did you have?
  10. Well I want an ounce of whatever it is they are smoking.
  11. I was thinking more along the lines of an Odyssey PC68T. http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc680t.htm
  12. Maybe they are having a competition with Renault to see who can take the piss by the greatest amount & yet still be believed?
  13. If you want more feel wind in some extra castor. Job done.
  14. Has anyone seen the new Honda livery. They are kidding, aren't they?
  15. Well last time I was at one of these things it rained. A dry line will appear surprisingly quickly once is stops.
  16. You reckon it is that low? Cost wasn't really the factor. Weight was. Present one is 12kg & out in front of the front wheels. If I can get back 5kg I will be well happy. As long as the car starts, that is...
  17. As the old saying goes: Don't let fear hold you back. The caveat being: Don't confuse bravery with stupidity. Anyway, it would be good to see some more times posted up for Wanneroo. Everyone else must think we are a bunch of keyboard warrior weiners for not posting anything.
  18. Just the ordinary EMS. The Australia Post van will then drop it off.
  19. Be happy that it is raining now. It means the track will be clean after the mess left over from the drift event. Clean track means quick times. Wet track means slow times, but it is much more fun. So don't anyone wuss out on account of some sorely needed rain.
  20. Well, a the title says really. I need to know how many CCAs the batteries in the R32 GT-R's had when they were first built. Mine has a 360 but that is mostly because it was all I could get at the time & I cannot remember how many CCA the original battery had. So I can put a light weight one in, obviously. Problem is the Odyssey dry cell type appear to be about the two hundred & something mark...
  21. If you are in Karratha you would well know how hard it is to get resources to do any significant projects at the moment. It is no differrent in Bunno. Anyway if it is hype you want hype... Australia : WA : Bunbury Friday, 23 February 2007. 11:38 (AWDT) Planning urged to cope with motor racing events The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the south-western Western Australian city of Bunbury is warning the city could be overwhelmed by its new motor racing events unless careful planning begins immediately. The racing group Perth International Motorsport has secured a deal to bring a series of Asian motor sport events to Bunbury. The group has begun building a Formula One-style race track near the city's airport. The first racing event will be held in December. Allan Birrell from the chamber of commerce says the city's leaders need to come up with a detailed plan to cope. "I think we can draw some lessons from other places around Australia that have had similar problems in the past," he said. "I think there of Adelaide when they had the grand prix, they had an operation which co-opted the community to provide billeted accommodation for visitors."
  22. If it is a power FC it is dead easy to remove 1 degree from the timing.
  23. Try the local BOC shop. But a caddy with the tig attachment will be more than $1k.
  24. Have a look at the photos for the front page of the South West Times - yesterday. Then read the CAMS media release below. Then make up your own mind. CAMS unaware of plans to bring international events to Bunbury Circuit CAMS Media Release 22 Feb 2007 CAMS has noted with interest various media reports out of Western Australia suggesting that the Bunbury International Circuit, developed and operated by Perth International Motorsport Management (PIMM), will host a number of international racing events in 2007 including rounds of Japan's Formula Nippon Championship and the Japanese Super GT Series. CAMS, the peak governing body of motor sport in Australia as delegated by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), would normally be involved in discussions to host such events within Australia. "Any legitimate international competition within Australia can only be organised under the auspices of the FIA and in this case, through their sole delegated authority for motor sport in Australia, CAMS," said Bob Glindemann, Acting Chief Executive Officer of CAMS. "In this scenario the accepted protocol for the organisation developing the track should be to contact CAMS outlining their proposed plans for the event. An application for a track licence would normally follow and CAMS would then arrange inspections to ensure that all the correct approvals have been sought and that all necessary safety standards are in place." CAMS has also been in communication with its Japanese equivalent body, the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) which confirm that they've been in contact with the management of both Formula Nippon and the Japanese Super GT Series to ensure that they have no intention of running their events in Western Australia outside of the FIA's international authority. "At this stage, CAMS has received no correspondence from PIMM regarding the proposed events," concluded Glindemann. ------- END For further information please contact: Chris Terpos, Communications Coordinator, CAMS Tel: (03) 9593 7777 FOR MEDIA INFORMATION PURPOSES - NO REGULATORY VALUE
  25. Well given that crunching synchros can sometimes confuse the damn things into thinking it has a knock anything is possible. Nonetheless don't go looking for excuses. Check your knock values either on a dyno or log them properly. It is not worth an engine...
