  1. I'm tipping in snow anything with that much HP is going to have traction issues no matter how many wheels are driving! And they aren't exactly running on snow tyres either. It did snow last year from memory and thats when the Rex stormed to the front.
  2. Berin - you forgot to mention the decapitator wing!
  3. It's meant to snow today. Who ever is insuring those 2 Gallarado's are now shitting themselves! LOL
  4. Hi - and welcome to SAU. Enjoy the reading and hope to see you at Autosalon over the weekend. You car looks familiar for some reason. Not sure if a pervious owner has been on cruises with us before or if I'm just confused. If you (or anyone else) wants to know more about the club check the newsletter out thats found at the top of the Vic page.
  5. Seems after fixing some timing mistakes the Whites have a 16s lead over Richards after the first day. Go the Skyline. Here's a nice pic of Jeff's car. I think he's about 1m 20 behind. Can just make out the skylinesaustralia url sticker on the back windscreen! LOL
  6. Devil - also contact Troy (forum user name = ylwgtr2) - he's done a LOT of cars from here and is an active member of SAU Vic as far as a respray goes. Always looks after people from SAU. Anyways.... Troy's number is 0417 563 600
  7. Yeah I can't find the thread but there was a HOT R34 with a custom red paint job and a cf bonnet in the for sale section that looked awesome. It's no bayside blue but it's an acceptable substitute!
  8. Hi there and welcome so SAU Vic! The best place you could go to get some idea's on color's etc for your car would be at Autosalon this weekend. We have a stand there with 15 cars from the club plus there will be a bunch of other skylines from other clubs through-out the show. But if you come to the show come up and say hi and introduce yourself!
  9. After the Day 1 Prologue - the Beables are in 3rd and the Whites are in 4th - just 2 and 3secs from Richards respectively. Skylines are looking good.
  10. So after going to all the effort to post this is there anyone out there atending the event or what? If someone else is going I might enter in the Rex and own youse all!
  11. Another one as part of this apparent "Baby Boom" we are supposidly in! Seem's like Babies are the new Black atm! LOL. Its all good though - I'm stepping up from Uncle (have a niece and nephew) to Dad later in the year.
  12. Sorry guys - these are not available any more.
  13. Ok - who we got so far? Snowman R31Nismoid riggaP Adzmax Al (?) West Robo's Leewah - 617rwkw's PurpleR32 - 535rwkw's (your coming Rosco) Who else? It's cheaper than Calder and you'll get more runs here.
  14. I have about 6L cause I have an oil cooler / remote filter as well.
  15. About 1 litre.
  16. I happen to know that the car in question (Archies) had gone from using Castrol at Calder to using Fushs at Winton. If it is as expected a big end - what part the oils played in this is debatable. But until I see a GTR running overfilled Castrol oils do a big end I will not personally believe in SBS. LOL
  17. It's good. I had been told of no recorded cases of SBS by people using that particular oil.
  18. Ahh... but the next question to be asked IF it is SBS will be "Archie - were you using Castrol Formula R 10-60W". They are now attributing a number of SBS cases to wrong choices of oils.
  19. Don't worry about me. I'm not in anymore. Too many difficulties for me sorry guys. I'll be there at some stage over the weekend but a) My car has no brakes to get it there, and B) the wife gets out of hospital the Sat afternoon after thyroid surgery so will need to be looked after.

    petrol plan?

Yeah - BP is the best fuel. Thats the biggest problem. Thats all I use.
  21. One day Roy you will learn that he is a BBQ not a measure of flux capacitance.
  22. Hey just to confirm - I caught up with Jeff Beable and his wife at the SAU Vic club meeting last night and he brought along his new R34 N1 to show us. Looks awesome I must say and it will be his car for this years challenge. It even has a nice skylinesaustralia sticker on it now! Good luck to Jeff and to everyone else from here competing next week. I can't wait for that day that I'm at the starting line with you.
  23. Just a quick thanks to Steve and David from Maltec who came all the way from Geelong to give us their informative talk on all forms of fluid lines really. Was greatly appreciated.
  24. Guys, Entries and Sup Req's are now available for Morwell - May 7. Entry form available here: http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport/forms/Mor...ll7505entry.doc Sup Req's here: http://www.wrx.com.au/motorsport/forms/Mor...rwellSR7505.doc A couple of things about this event. Morwell is a very small - go kart like track with plenty of tree's around it. It's very tight and really it's a 2nd gear only track. Due to the size of the track there will only ever be 1 car on the track at once. You will only do 1 lap per session. So there is no time to warm tyres up for those running semi-comps. There is a maxium field size of 45 cars so if you are interested you had better get your entries in quickly. But the best part is the entry fee at only $55.
  25. Yes I think this may have to be my first outting at the Drags. Should be a fun day me thinks.
