330kw's my ass then! LOL If you make it - our little group have already been given numbers 65,66,67 and 68. Not sure how they do it in NSW and QLD but they split us up into 2 groups of 40 in Vic. When we put or entries in they had no problems putting us together in the same group so we could have some fun together for the weekend. So if you want to you can ask Anthony or Sam to put you in our little group as well. My car is the least powerful of the GTR's at 325rwkw's. So we'll be ready to join in the GTR assult on Dutton Vic. However, one of our little group is driving an imported STi RA and I have a feeling he's going to kick all of our asses. But we'll see. But don't expect Martin and Simmo to have it all their own way in Vic. They sure didn't last year.

I used to have mine connected and found especially when I was still learning to drive fast that it probably helped me out a little bit. But then eventually on some places it became a little un-predicatable and scared the crap outta me once or twice. Especially on long sweepers such as found at Phillip Island where you can be travelling at serious speeds and have the car "twitch" a little on you. Brown undies stuff. So my HICAS is locked now and it's much more predictable.

Russell - "next rally" - does that mean you are competing in Dutton Vic as well since I think you've done QLD and NSW already? If so we already have a group of 4 cars entering for Vic so we'll have to catch up. I presume Simmo kicked ass in the EVO in NSW again btw?

I think Crazy Tony is doing both mate. And I'm pretty sure Marcus is doing Winton - but he's not doing DECA at this stage. Personally I'm booked for 3 days at Winton in July so I'm giving the Maserati Day a miss. Plus is so expensive to run with those guys IMO. Their price is a bit rich for Winton.

On another matter - without going through the last 121 posts in this thread there is apparently someone from SAU doing driver training this weekend? Firstly Hung (WRX Club Motorsport Director) has let me know that he still hasn't received your entry form. And secondly has let me know that both Scotsman and I will be sharing your driver training duties for the day. Unless you'd prefer lessons from Brisby?

Also I'm looking forwards to seeing which ever of Geoff's toys come (both hold a certain appeal) and am really looking forwards to seeing how Lee Wilson stacks up against the busted up 32 special. Lee Wilson's car was super impressive last outting at Winton so he will be a good carrot for the mad Welshman.

Yeah the first post in this thread contains the information to enter. We don't actually have any influence or anyting with these track days - we just use them as the basis of our own club championship. So if you want to enter you have to do it all through the WRX Club. I can just get you the club membership and the CAMS license no worries.

Yeah mate - we can do it all on the day if you like. Just get there a bit early. I'm already signing a couple of others up in the morning as well. So if you are keen send off one of the entry forms and where it asks for a CAMS license number just put in there TBA.

LOL - no there's no concern with Police being there.

My car better be ready or else I know of a certain Orange Supra that will have a 2nd driver on Sunday! But yeah - as mentioned you can still do track without a license. Hell - you can do track if you are 14! So yeah as long as someone can get your car there you can still participate on the day.

Horses! I'm not a huge gambler. But for that one month between Mid Oct and Mid Nov I become an expert in horse racing. It's mostly a social thing. And a drinking thing. I mainly go with the attitude of losing my money but think of it as just paying for a day of entertainment. That way on days when I do win its a bonus. And there have been plenty of days where I have won. But I find the best thing with going to the races is that each race is nearly an hour appart so you can only lose once every so often. Plenty of time to have a drink and admire the ladies inbetween. The pokies steal your money once every 5s - I just don't get them.

Ok - Denham's entry was #25 so we are already half full. Also guys - to give you the max enjoyment for the day and to add a bit of fun - the last 2 events on the skidpan we run will involve 2 cars going head to head in identical motokhana's. These events will still be timed - but if there is someone you would like to race against drop me a PM and we'll sequence you accordingly.

Yeah but Ferni - your not really comparing apples with apples mate. The Gibson R32 didn't have an RB31DET in it making 500rwkw's. And again it's a little hard to compare most Racepace cars with Hypertech cars. From most cars I have seen at Hypertech they have been built to "Targa Spec". Now I doubt there is much hope that the Whites Targa winning GTR would run under 1.20 at Sandown. Benno is well known for his club / street GTR's. I don't know if he's ever tried to get the max out of a car built for Traga Spec and if so how it compares to one of Eric's. I also don't know if Eric has tried to build a single turbo club track GTR. I really hope to get Eric down to one of our club meetings one night as I'd personally love to hear about the engineering of the Gibson cars. Maybe he can answer some questions on street GTR's there.

The Winter Winton Fun Day is on Sunday 17th July. This is always a great track. It's still pretty good even in the wet. Great track to learn on and huge run-off area's if you get it wrong. Nice and simple, track is a contant width and although this isn't a factor for you Anthony there are minimal gear changes so you can consentrate on steering and braking. Mind you on these fun days your biggest risk is other cars. There are heaps on the track at once.

Phil, There's a couple of other Silv's so far as well so you won't be alone. Add to it the Fraud XR6T's and the Audi and we'll have a nice mix of cars to join the Skylines and Rexies.

If only they put RB20's in Porka's! OMG!!!
