  1. Thanks, i might get a new seat anyway i've had this one laying around for a few years. I'm around 6'2 so i didn't know if this was a common problem or not.
  2. Hi guys, couple quick questions. My shoulders go above the holes for the harness on my seat, would this be a problem in a crash? (ie,harness loading up spine) I haven't got a harness yet so i thought i'd ask first, i'll get a new seat if i need to. Generally what size semi's are cheaper 15"s or 16"s? Thanks
  3. Doesn't look to bad from the pictures, looks mostly like surface rust. Take it to a panel beater and see what they say.
  4. Was that the one that has the other tyre on it? Pull off your rear wheels and check for any unevenness in the tyres.
  5. What wheels did you have before? There's not a hubring still on one of the hubs is there? Check your tyres for any lumps or unevenness, there may be a separation. Were all of them balanced when the tyres were fitted? Any of the wheels buckled? Where is the vibration coming from? Front, rear?
  6. I'm assuming R33? This should answer your question, http://www.skylinesa...aning-r33-gtst/ step 5, about half way down the first post.
  7. ^^What this guy said is spot on.. 10 days turn around is pretty quick for a panel shop too
  8. Easier to buy a new sensor
  9. I was always told. Most 'coolants' are actually an anti freeze(ethylene glycol) and lower the boiling temperature of water. In warmer climates you can get away with just running distilled water and a corrosion inhibitor
  10. You could cut open the door trim, reach in and unlock and open it manually.
  11. Even if the panels are straight, you cant pick an alignment by pictures, it needs to be measured. Do this, but you'll have to tell them what you want, so they don't just set it at their preferred settings.
  12. Its probably a gtr(stolen or race/rally import) not a mock up, but with plates stuck on from a gtst to sell it
  13. Its only rod ends they're simple as, no need to measure anything when changing them. Just mark with chalk roughly where they are so its near enough for the new ones and then get an alignment. Get a front and rear alignment to make sure the car is tracking straight, it may be causing your problems
  14. If your cheap and don't want to buy new stands, you could use some angle and weld it to the base at the corners and the upright on each side. Kinda dodgy but I've seen it done on more than one occasion. I have a dodgy paint picture of how to do it, but don't know how to upload it
  15. Yeah the tradies i worked with hated that style stand. I've never seen it personally but have heard they can collapse or fall over because there is no triangulation to the base
  16. If you rotate the stand 90 degrees it shouldn't dent the rails as the force is closer to the corners, but like 'GoHard' said put it under a xmember if possible. I'm not a fan of that style of stand, have heard some stories about them
  17. I can pretty much guarantee your tyre is screwed if you drove on it enough to break the bead. Take the wheel down to a tyre shop and get them to strip it and check if its chewed out the sidewall.
  18. Do the replacement arms use bushes or heim joints? They wont approve heims, cant remember why though
  19. Panel shops can get hold of some of the measurements, they need them when aligning a chassis
  20. Can you use the ecu to have one pump on and switch the other on above a certain duty cycle or load point
  21. I haven't used that kit but i've used another like it with some success. Works pretty well on small chips
  22. Im pretty sure theres a thread on here somewhere about buying a skyline and what to look for. Chuck up a link to the cars, people might be able to help more with more info Have you done a revs check on the cars? Why's rego so expensive on the blue one? How much do you know about cars? Will you be doing work yourself? What colour do you like? White is easier to keep clean than blue
  23. If its non air bag, grab a dished wheel. I had the same problem and it moved the wheel far enough away so it didnt hit
  24. Congrats on the purchase mate, check out r31skylineclub.com. Theres a heap of info answering your questions in the wiki http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?title=Main_Page
  25. Is this what your looking for? http://www.frsport.com/Nissan-OEM-300ZX-Front-Brake-Hardware_p_12970.html
