  1. 11.130 @ 130.45mph, 1.779 60ft Camber was 0.5 deg positive with 0 toe 12 psi in the tyres So far so good, only had 2 runs tonight as I blew a cooler hose near the turbo, it was to hot and to much bother to try and fix it there. Next week Im hoping for even better.
  2. bugger, I blew a silicon pipe near the turbo, to hot to fix. lots of monsters here though.
  3. So far, 11.130 @ 130.34 mph, 1.779 60 ft. Do close to the 10.99999999
  4. Look at a radiator filter while your getting it ready, after my rebuild it caught a fair bit or sealants and other crap, even after the chemical clean it still collects bits of crud that would have other wise gone through the water pump and maybe got stuck in the radiator. TEFBA Radiator / Cooling system Filters Like dis > http://www.ebay.com....=item20bddab6b4 Disclaimer: The RB30 that went into my boat was probably 30 yrs old and no matter how much cleaning you get done it will not remove all the old broken down rusty crap that has had that time to build up inside its cooling system, which it seems, is quite alot. P.S. Numbers Farkern
  5. Ive had thia issue with my Falcodoore, every time I try and go fast it seems like something is holding it back, I even installed a Chevy badge on it to try and improve responce but to no avail. Mod list is: chrome floor mats Racing seat style padded seat covers 22" chrome rims on the front with chashers on the rear A METAL MULLISHA stiker covering the rear windscreen Std exhaust with a hole cut into the rear box Chevy badge Do you think it could be fixed by fitting up some neons?
  6. Good day guys, all I need now is a 3.4 stroker crank and a neo head and the boat can re to 10,000rpm. That and a fuel upgrade and the other associated bits and pieces that would be needed. Twas a very informative time. That little gremlin was a angry little thing.
  7. Wednesday 31 October Summary Min 17 Max 29 Mostly sunny. Sydney area Mostly sunny. Light winds becoming northwest to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h during the day.
  8. Thanks mate, Im in the process of getting my Link ECU tuned up with launch control, hopefully that will make at least 1 thing easier, all I need to do is work on the other 300 things to do to get some good times. I did manage a 1.604 on the 24th, most were around the 1.7 - 1.8 though. Cheers, Mark
  9. From looking at your pics I would say it would scrub alot, on a hard corner with good road tyres my car will squat down about 30 - 40mm or more, going from my pics that is. Im running R33 GTR rims though with 255/40 17 rubber which fit nice inside the guards with only a guard roll. If you want to keep them I would assume you would need to cut away the guards and fit some wheel flairs/wide body kit. I also beleive that "wheel poke" is frowned on at track days by the scruits, Im under the impression that the wheels must fit inside the guards.
  10. http://www.sydneydragway.com.au/?m=events&a=event_page&id=130 If the weather is good Im going. Post up if your going, we will get ourselves into a group and race for donuts. Even if your not racing come along and say hi, if your a NSW SAU member I can sign you in as pit crew and you can chill on the line. Ill be there in my boat from around 5:30pm. Its a good time to see how your car will go for the SAU NATS airport run. Prior Preperation Prevents Piss Poor Performance. DO IT
  11. Sausage sizzle AND discount thingie for SAU NSW members AND some points AND finding out about all the oily roundy roundy bits, BAM, this is to good to miss.
  12. Post vids for LOLS, Ive done this with mates before, its awesome, we had rounds where we would take turns of one would only guard and the other would attack, we had left hand only rounds and swicth your stance rounds. We only did 1 3min round per fight though, even then I was shagged. Enjoy. On a side note watch out for someone getting cranky, even mates sometimes get upset that "the little guy" is giving them some stick and they start swinging KO punches. And yes I was the "little guy", my mate took offence to my left constantly tapping him, he got cranky and started swinging hard, for a while good times were had by all, we are still friends to this day though. How are you matching up ? weight or pick out of a hat, we went pick out of a hat, not really fair but lots of fun.
  13. Got my 60ft down to the 1.75, my best time for the night was only 11.701 though, I was missing gears fairly regularly from 2nd to 3rd, also had some issues with finding 2nd at the end of the night, I think the old boat was getting a fair bit of heat in it after doing 8 runs. I'm going to bleed the clutch and change the gearbox oil prior to next week. All in all it was a good night, I just need to work on being consistent, I'm still all over the shop. Still I'm better than I was before, COME ON SAU NATS AIRPORT RUN.
  14. So, who is going, Im in for some more and the weather is looking good. Wednesday 24 October Summary Min 12 Max 24 Sunny. Chance of any rain: 10% Rainfall amount: 0 mm
  15. Any one using ? Seems like the new wonder drug in vogue.
  16. Deisel oil from a trucks filler cap maybe ? I watched a truck dump 20 ltrs of deiso on a corner near work, I pulled the guy over and told him, he had forgot to put the cap back on.
  17. I started at 17psi then went down 1 psi per run, best 60ft was at 14 psi, I went down to 12psi but my 60ft got worse, more likely my technique than the tyre pressure though.. Alot of my issues has to do with being consistant, trying to get my launch RPM, clutch slip, tyre pressures the same to get some usefull information is fairly tricky, with a heap more seat time and playing around with the settings should help me whittle my times down a bit by bit. Thanks, Mark
  18. Delivered to the address you give them, they are left at my door when I order them.
  19. Where are they $880 ? I would like one for my 33. Thanks, Mark
  20. Did a 11.6 at WSID, 0.3 faster than last time, best 60ft was 1.9, now its time to keep working on my RPM at launch to try and find the sweet spot, I never managed to find the right RPM tonight, 4000 wasnt enough but 4500 was to much. Finding the happy medium is not such a easy process, for me anyway. I did get to watch a S chassis 2ltr manual do a 9.? though, it was fast.
  21. 12 psi
  22. So far , 11.609 @ 133 with a 2.1 60 ft Best 60 ft so far is 1.9 but only ran a 11.651 @ 134
  23. New springs are in the rear, I'm sitting in lane 2 waiting to go.
  24. + 1 from me, I do regular long runs in the boat, cost a bucket in fuel but you only live once. Syd to Qld, Syd to Vic are my main runs, I mix up Hwy and country roads to make it a fun adventure. I do like the Snowy Mountain Roads but thats only a day trip for me from near Liverpool. Im coming down to Vic to do the Great Ocean Road in Jan when Im taking long service leave, It will be on my ace as the missus and my daughter gets bored, I can only take 2 as the car car only has 2 seats, which as far as I see is a win-win situation.
  25. Whats the dimensions of it "how thick" Thanks, Mark
