  1. Sell NA POS NA Skyline, buy MX 5. Your stock MX5 will smoke most stockish GTSTs, Chubbs runs a 1:13 around wakefield in a 85ish kw MX5, I was 1:11 but in a 350ish kw GTST. A MX5 is the best handling bang for your buck car money can buy. With some good suspension, brakes and tyres it is budget performance at its best. Wish I had got one instead of the boat.
  2. Ive got one in Sydney you can have for free
  3. Full engineered cars have just gone up in price I would say, SWEEEET. Not that I would sell my boat.

It was offered as a 4-door sedan and as a 5-door hatchback, in GL and Ghia trim levels with 2.0L (CA20E) and and 2.4L (KA24E) four cylinder engines. The Corsair was intended to replace the Mazda 626-based Ford Telstar, which was imported from Japan. The two were sold side-by-side in the Australian Ford range, with the Telstar only available as the high-performance TX5 hatchback. When Nissan closed its Australian plant in 1992, the Corsair was discontinued and the imported Telstar once again became Ford's main offering in the medium size segment, until being replaced by the Mondeo in 1995.<BR style="CLEAR: both">
  7. Puff the magic dragon
  8. Police should have UAVs with LGMs, that would be sweet, they could follow it til it was in the clear then , BAM the dirt is gone, I would swap jobs for sure. That would be cool
  9. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/389781-itt-i-dump-my-cool-collection-of-car-videos/page__pid__6208892#entry6208892 This is what they will say, that Car Clubs promote idiots doing stupid shit on public roads, wow, he was hitting boost in a straight line, la de farking da, only one of the vids looked like a closed track everything else was on the public road. You can thank this sort of stuff for the laws and regulations tightening around our necks. 20% of car scene are idiots being idiots, whilst the other 80% suffer.
  10. Nice mate, what events are you going to, I do want to have a squiz.

  12. You don't need a good engineer, you need a good builder who is up to speed with the ADR and what is/isn't legal, then when you have it to compliance with the regulations the engineer can come out and do his thing with his tape measure and sensor thingies once, if you need to get him out a couple of times its gonna cost you more. Have you done the calculations for the VQ35, The formula for max capacity is on the RTA web site under "modifications" NSW
  13. Operation SSDD.
  14. To enter you need to pick a class, 25/30 with all the fruit puts me in SVD, yes there is a comp but Im no where near competitive, Ive only done 2 or 3 sprints that need legal street tyres to be in street class comp, (the SAU vs RENEW thingie)and even though the semis Ive used were street legal they said something about being to low with the UTQG and I was placed in club class. All other sprints Ive done you could use whatever you want, unless it rains, then no slick till the track drys off. Ive only been playing this game for a couple of years but dang its fun. Last year I think I got about 10 points in the SSCC comp, LOL.
  15. I went out the back of work and hit it up a bit, not much really, rolled on second and pushed third till about 5000rpm (dont tell the MPs), nice smooth delivery but much pedal manipulation and steering correction was needed, thats about it for now, Wakie in March is going to be the real test. Though Im still undecided on the new track tyres, will most likely just use the new Hankooks which isnt ideal but they should be fine for a couple of sessions of sprints. Fingers crossed.
  16. The boat is going in for the new/old QF45 throttle body and pipe work soon, I might (will) do Injectors and rail at the same time. E85 is on the backburner for a while though, , kids teeth come first, apparently Whens the head due in ?
  17. Loctite should help
  18. But this is where the general poplulation get there info from, what people see on TV regulates what issues they see as a threat and what is brought up at loal council meetings, from the local it goes to state, from state it goes to federal. ACA not needed ? the people sitting on the lounge watching this rubbish make their discisions on voting and such on what the media tells them, how can you think you change things if you think that doesnt matter. The media and what they vomit may be incorrect, seem unfair and is bias, but Joe Public bases there views on what they see and are told is a threat. And reporters are paid for a good story that gets airtime, fear, terror, violance, sensationalism, people crave these things, and the media supplies. We may be passionate about our hobby, they are not. Gun laws anyone ?
  19. Southern Sporting Car Club (SSCC) have been doing this, inviting police to meetings, having cars shows "cops and rodders" but in the end nothing much has happened to change public opinions. BAN LOW PERFORMANCE DRIVERS NOT HIGH PERFORMANCE CARS, was a phrase they came up with years ago, pity that the 99.9% of the majority of people feel threatened by that phrase. In the end you should go for it, fill your boots, if you can get your point across, more power to you. Its a bit like not being able to have a beer at a BBQ on the beach anymore, a few idiots who think they are above all others have ruined it for everyone, all your good work can come unstuck by 1 idiot doing burnouts. You would be better of to push for compulsory advanced driver training before a licence is issued, yearly retests of licencing, and harsher fines and jail terms for serious offences, these proposals would at least be given some thought by the powers that be. Having a licence is a privilge, not a right.
  20. Get your car engineered or keep it stock, dont dress it up to look like some FnF wanna be, obey the law, simple. There will always be idiots that will cause trouble, these people will be the ones the story on ACA or whatnot are based on, but everyone will pay for it, it was the same 30 yrs ago when I first got my licence, and its only going to get tougher. People are sheep and if the TV says that import drivers are hoons then import drivers are hoons, they will pick and choose random images to use to make it all exciting and dangerous looking, which isnt hard when every night some idiot is doing burnouts, speeding, or some other stupid thing on public roads and now with every man and his dog recording it on their phones and posting on some web site or another which makes their job so much easier. You will never get a story about how a correctly modified car is safer than stock, or how the owners promote safe driving, no excitement, no sensationalism, people dont want to hear about that, they want some idiot who did a burn out to mouth off at the police, they want a car to run from the police and crash and burn, that sells news. All we can do is follow the rules and regulations that are placed before us and deal with the outcomes, if you fight the system you will lose, you are not fighting for peoples human rights, you are not a crusading for child safety, you are fighting for a hobby whose regulations you dont like. Car modifiers wouldnt even make up 0.1% of the population IMO, and the regular car owners couldnt give a stuff if modifications were banned alltogether, but, the 99.9% of the population love to see some "hoons" on TV when they are sitting on the lounge. We are a minority, we can be smart and keep our heads down, speak out against the idiots, promote road safety, and deal with the issues as they arise the best we can, or we can get political against the majority, which in my opinion would be like inviting genicide.
  21. If its for the front put the brace on and hit it with a hard rubber/nylon mallet, hold the hub with your foot to stop it moving a bit, worked a treat for me.
  22. MX5, best handling learner legal platform you can find. And if want a car that punches above its weight on the track and then pull chicks this is the way to go IMO. If you need four doors for some reason buy a camary, commodore or falcon, you will get a much better far for your money. With the MX5, get one with a hard top though.
  23. But this new substitute reality isn't as scary
