  1. Crash pics please
  2. Facts is what is needed not hearsay, if your car is engineered and no further changes have taken place then the defect WILL be cleared, police will defect you if they think it has been changed outside of your certification, that is their job. I've been pulled over twice by the police with the RTA road side inspection van, they look at my cert, check the car then let me go, if you follow the rules you will be fine. Unless you act like a knob or have changed your car so it doesn't comply anymore that is, its the people will low ride height, ATMO BOV, loud exhaust that have had it engineered then have changed it that will get done. Keep it as per the certification or too bad so sad, sell it and buy a Camery. And people can sook all they like, me I don't care about someone crying that they got defected, fix the non conforming parts and deal with it.
  3. Engineering Certification Scheme (ECS) certificates The VSCCS replaced the Engineering Certification Scheme (ECS) on 19 December 2011. If you have already submitted your ECS certificate to the (former) RTA or RMS it will not be affected by the VSCCS. ECS certificates not yet submitted to RMS should be taken to a motor registry by 19 June 2012. From 20 June 2012, if you have not submitted your ECS certificate you will need to get a VSCCS certificate. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/authorisedinspectors/vsccs/vsccs_vehicle_owners.html iF YOU WANT CORRECT INFORMATION GO THE THE RELEVANT AUTHORITY, NOT THE RAMBLINGS OF A "INTERWEBS EXPERT".
  4. Again. I have rung the RTA and all previously engineered cars are fine. This is in NSW, anyway. There is so much mis-information going on about this subject its not funny, if you want the REAL information ring or visit your local RTA. DON'T BELIEVE HALF THE RUBBISH YOU READ ON INTERNETS.
  5. Ill throw in a good set of R33 GTST S1 front seats for free to the buyer...
  6. My engineers cert is still valid, I rang the RTA.
  7. No, it has to do with safety so therefore it must stay if you want the car to be legally registered.
  8. It's only a car, put roof racks on it, you can take them off when you don't need them. Cars are made to be used, Skylines are good bang for buck cheap Japanese cars. The amount of people who claim they own a sports car but never take it to any motorsport events makes me laugh. I'm getting me some roof racks for when I take the boat fishing. See what I did there.
  9. Will the regs be simular to past events and if so could someone PM me a copy please. Thanks, Mark.
  10. Because R34 GTR rims have GTR written in the center caps and are 18" as well are they not, personally I didn't like the look either, I think the 33 rims look the best. Each to their own.
  11. Tin snip.
  12. Any idea on when the regs will be released ? Im super keen for this, hopefully Ill make street class, regoed, enginnered, street tyres (Hankook Ventus RS3) and a loose nut behind the wheel.
  13. Like dis....255/40 17 all round.
  14. R33 GTR rims, 17 x 9, they have a Nissan logo so look stock and you can pick up a good set for under $1000, then spend your $$ on quality tyres.
  15. Mine is 440mm from seat to tip, 419mm from end of plastic to tip, 35mm from tip to H, 22mm from tip to L. Mine has the Nissan logo but with 21000 stamped on it as well. The tube length is 310mm (+ - 5mm) from the block to the end of the tube. I think the tubes may be of diffeent size for the different blocks, models, series, maybe ?????
  16. Nothing in the regs about this being a timed event ? Is it timed or not timed. Thanks Mark
  17. 2 Bar <IMG class=bbc_emoticon alt= src="http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif"> .<BR> <BR>Take it to a tuner and see whats safe, my stock turbo lived on 14 lb for a year before I swapped it out for something bigger.<BR><BR>The stock turbos life is a bit like "how long is a peice of string" when you up the boost, might last a day, might last a year.<BR><BR>Remember though when it goes it will be raining, you will be far from home, it will be night, and it may well lunch your motor.
  18. Poor low cars missing out on all the driving fun........ My boat goes everywhere, no point in owning a car that cannot be driven I say, I always say that "low is slow" unless you have spent big dollars on correcting steering geometry, might need to change that to "low is no go"
  19. All fitted up, Im a happy camper
  20. The end of next week, not much dyno time needed, only enough to make sure the new TB and stuff is working right. Goes in on Tues night or Wends morning which is when Ill drop of the sump for Stevo. It will be good not to be loosing all that air, it couldnt even get the pressure up past 2psi (If I remember right) on the smoke test machine bottle gauge thingie as the leak was so bad.
  21. The reason I am replacing my throttle body was during a smoke test it was leaking out big time through the butterfly axle thingie. This should help.
  22. A guy may be interested but if he falls through Ill do you 2 for $90 Im looking for $180 for 4
