  1. LOL All of the dust from the bushfires, and maybe a Corona or 2
  2. So..... After parking my 86 into a fence, and then a guard rail..?..I bought a old Bogan 2002 VX SS II auto cruise ship for a daily driver/project. Enter 1 x 2002 VX SS II Auto I searched around for ages looking at everything from new MX5's to 370Z's, and everything in between, I came across this old boat early in my searches, the boy pointed it out actually, he said "it looks old, slow and noisy, just like you, and mum would hate it", so with that kind of endorsement, and, with nothing else that really touched my special spot (something different, something I can play with, something that should annoy the neighbors and old peole, something with minimal electronics that a old idiot with monkey fists can work on, and parts that are easy to find and cheap, and parts that are cheap, and parts that are cheap), I grabbed it. Don't ask what I payed for it, I'm pushing that bit of information back down deep into my brain where my empathy lives to never surface again. Needless to say it is super clean and straight. Engine: LS1 5.7 Headers, twin 2.5" exhaust, OTR, Tune??? (It goes surprisingly well, LOL, shut up, it does go well, and it sounds f**king awesomeballs) it will visit Pulse Racing for some love in a while. I'm not sure about the Simmons rims though, 18 x 8.5 with 245/30 front, 18 x 9.5 with 265/30 rear, I think I'm going to try and find some OEM VX SS rima for it (swaps????). Suspension: Yellow lowering springs (Kings?). Some shocks??, I'll have a better idea when I lift the car and pull the wheels. I'm thinking its had some bushings done, the thing is as tight as a tiger. I've only just got it, so, so far I have only cleaned the airfilter, it's a over the radiator CAI jobbie that makes cool induction noises. So far things to do: Engine oil and filter Spark plugs Trans flush and filter Diff oil Brake fluid flush Power steering flush Coolant flush Wheel alignment Good wash, polish and wax Wrap headers.....maybe, or find some other form of heat sheilding for them... Then, look for other stuff like old hoses or broken stuff. You know there will always be broken shit in a 20 year old car. What are my plans for it? drive it around really, hit the drags once or twice for some LOLs, not back it into a fence....and guard rail....
  3. Dr Karl says 75% infected. Dirty math at 0.5% fatality rate is 125,000 deaths. Keep fit, keep heathy, keep the hell away from me....?
  4. Commonwhore SS 6.0 are cheap, throw in a big cam-springs-pushrods, a zorst and some tuning. Mad aircon lounge chair shopping trolley taxi NA skids. Just don't go around any corners, and plan your fuel stops. Or is this just floating around in my mind at the moment???? There's some deals to be had at the moment, prices are dropping everywhere. Disclaimer: Thongs and Flanno's are required at these power levels.
  5. 370Z? Upperclass bogan? Dinosaur = yes, but....... Maybe......
  6. Nah, been there, turbo'ed that. It's time for something a bit different me thinks. What exactly is anyones guess, I'm leaning towards a bogan direction, but, I am impulsive, so who knows.
  7. Car was totaled $32k payout agreed. Should be settled in 3-5 days. Mark has the sads....meh......what can you do NEXT
  8. I have had my fill of modified Skylines ?
  9. I actually have looked at the RS and the ST, decent performance for the money, but my god they are horrible to look at, and sit in for more than 30 minutes. In saying that, so far, at top of my list, and the Mrs, if they do write off the 86, is either a late Calais 6ltr or FG G6E turbo, so it seems, my taste is rubbish and my strength, when it comes to feminine wiles, is as weak as piss. As for fuel usage, meh, you gotta pay to play. I've already looked at headers, highflow cats and tuning for the 6ltr and turbo back exhausts and tunes for the Barra..... And no, I will never learn But for now, it's still a waiting game.....with lots of googling.
  10. God no I'm way to bogan for one of those things
  11. LOL Still waiting on the insurance company to get back to me. The insurance guy did his assessment on Friday, they have 5 days to get back to me with decision. I want it fixed, the Mrs wants it gone, her idea of a sporty car is a SSV or G6 turbo. I have been on the googles looking at some FG turbos...? Waiting sucks
  12. Na, 2J is so 1999 It's "Barra time" images.mp4
  13. Assessed at $22k to fix by smash repairs, insurance guy inspects tomorrow. ffaaaaarrrrkkkkkk
  14. Not a chance, market is 25-30k, which means 25k at the most. Adding up all the mods is around 15k With the car costing me 32 + 15 = 47k I'm expecting a loss of around 22k if they write it off. Meh, next........
  15. Diesel down on wet road at the roundabout outside of work. Car just snapped sideways and I was a passenger. A guy with his family was cruising along behind me watching the whole thing. He said they were admiring the my car, LOL, (freshly washed and waxed) and then it just shot off the road in front of them. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, full comprehensive insured, waiting for the fix it or write it off call will be a PITA. Mark has a bad case of the sads...
  16. Beanie now in the NSW "pay it forward" thread. Come and get it..... "NSW members".
  17. Lots of work but a non productive day in the end. Turbo beanie was a letdown. Whilst it was for an internally gated turbo, it fit like arse on the internally gated AVO. Attempted to wrap the header when it was on the car, stopped attempting when I made blood for the 3rd time. The only real way to get it right would be to remove the header. The header and turbo does have ceramic coating so.....f**k it.....??.
  18. Cops, suicidal pushbikes, suicidal motorbikes, oh, the joys of the Nasho nowdays. But, now I has milkshake Edit: Pretty much zero parking in the carpark
  19. Fark....it.......almost lives........again.......fark
  20. Epic external cleaning day. Wash with Mothers car wash Polished with Mothers polish Glazed with...yeap, Mothers Glaze. (Jackie is awesome, all my prezzies are car wash related). Then washed again. Then the whole exterior was cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Then, for something different, I tried the Mothers CMX ceramic spray stuff, spray wipe, let dry, then buff, then, because waiting 24hrs is for chicks, I gave it a second coat 1 hour later....? I'll give it a 3rd coat tomorrow morning, and a 4th after lunch. That should finish the $60 bottle of "stuff". So far, after 2 quick coats, the paint is nice and deep, sadly I missed a few little scratches when polishing, meh... So, hopefully, I will not need to do to much to clean the car for a year, spray on some wash, then gernie and dry.....hopefully.... We'll see. In other news, turbo beanie is here, exhaust wrap isn't yet, plus need some gearbox oil. Fun times ahead, jobs for tomorrow, jobs for next week. In other, other news, f**k work, I've got car stuff to do...
