  1. Correct me if I am wrong as the rules may have changed since I looked into this: You can pay for a full emissions test (up to $5K or more?) to prove your emissions are less than or equal to factory with your modifications. If the Engineer is OK with this, they will sign off and you can run the mods to the car. I think the Clubman guys who want to fit a custom motor or a motor that hasn't been complianced have to perform this task. Most of the time it's just easier (and cheaper) to run a factory setup motor because then you don't have to run the abundance of tests.
  2. The system that I have just bought through Jesse Streeter is a cat back. Going to go through Scotty to get a dump made up and the mid pipe, we'll see....
  3. They each have to be individually wrapped anyway due to the size. Prince Skyline would be a good one to bounce this off... What's his PM?
  4. He says they have to be packaged individually due to size, and his commission wont move (because he has to live!), so there's not much in it if anything at all. Just best to order through him individually.
  5. I've sent him a message. I'll see what he says..
  6. Also chasing a Legalis, as my factory system is rusty/holey and my rear muffler has finally collapsed! Thinking of getting a Fujitsubo Legalis R from Jesse Streeter. Price is around $1300 including postage from Japan...
  7. Thanks for the bits and pieces Chad! The number plate lights have been fitted and work a treat.
  8. Spotted Silver C34 going down burwood Hwy VIC. Waved a couple of times and beeped back!
  9. White M35 Axis Autech driving north bound springvale road Glen Waverly this morning with chick driver.
  10. All sounds good. Added to the list. The $550 is all fluids excluding trans/diff and Attesa. It's the standard 350Z major service (at 80K I think?) I just used that plus added the trans/attesa service on top of that. They check the ECU/BCM and ABS stuff as part of the service.
  11. Depends on what you want the car for? AWD kicks in the wet. The turbo is relatively good on the juice, and performance is definitely pretty good for a wagon. If you are worried about insurance prices, I'd suggest ringing up the insurer you plan to use and go through some hypotheticals. If it's an 'import', then some times they don't even care if it's turbo or not. I'm paying around $1100 through Shannons on my Stag which is the turbo version. Do you live in Melbourne/Tasmania or any other place that has wet weather? If you do then the AWD is worth the money IMHO. It's like a GTR wagon!
  12. Hi fellow M35 owners. I have decided to give my M35 Axis Autech a birthday present and give it a service at Nissan. The car has 92K on the clock and I thought it would be a good idea to shout it an early service. I have religiously serviced it every 7.5K since I imported it (with 71K on the clock) and every other 7.5K have usually had my fav. mechanic look over it and do the alternate service. (Means I can spend time on the Datto) Supposedly the Major service is around $550 for a 350Z which they are basing my car on (not inc. plug change as I have already changed them) which is all filters and fluids for everything except for the Auto and the Attesa. I'm also getting the Attesa flushed/checked and the auto flushed/checked. This is additional cost. Is there anything else I should recommend they have a look at? Considering they may have not serviced, let alone seen one of these before??
  13. +1 Nay. + Eleventy Bazillion. And Ash it's not a direct go at people who actually despise cyclists, because at least THEY SEE THEM to despise them. I'd rather be seen and cursed at, than not seen squashed and then cursed at.
  14. </begin> Rant I don't mind push bikes doing it, as long as they stay to the left so you can pass them reasonably easily. I mind more if motor bikes pull in front of me when i'm in the 1600/stag instead of some idiot in a camry. I tried long and hard to get that good position at the lights and I intend to use it to get away from the other mindless texting/phone calling/nose picking/short sighted/accelerator pedal reach challenged/accident causing/great big stinky poo poo heads. The best position is away from everyone else and I intend to use it! If you are going to be a motorbike and go in front of me, then you better bloody move it when the lights turn green and not sit there waiting for your slow to react brain to send that message to your right hand to twitch that throttle open. Pay attention! </end> Rant.
  15. Here's a text book "Let's combine two questions so that one means the other automatically gets the votes": Repeat hoon / drink drivers should face longer bans from driving or owning a car. So automatically when you answer this question, hoon drivers and drink drivers are THE SAME! Hooning and drink driving in my humble opinion are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. The current labeling of hooning by the general public/police is along the lines of "the driver of the automobile lost traction at the lights in a deliberate manner". Which to anyone who has half a brain can be interpreted as: The poor guy got stuck on some oil when it was raining and decided that removing his foot from the accelerator quickly would be a safety hazard to himself and others and made the decision to slowly release his accelerator pedal which continued the loss of traction, but in a controlled manner. FFS. The 'Hooning' label is ridiculous. Being a deliberate idiot or drink driving yes possibly, but "Hooning". Honestly WTF!? And why did these sphincters of the universe put the two together?
  16. I'm a maybe at the moment. Gotta do a few things to the 1600 before I feel it will be OK.
  17. Only managed to get one session in before the water return line from the turbo decided to $hit itself. BOOooo! Hoping the engine is OK... Drove back though with a replacement part brought down by a friend. No water usage at the moment (not yet!!!)
  18. Rich, looking forward to trying to keep up in the little Datto!
  19. In! First time at PI too! Hopefully the new clutch will be bedded in by then!
  20. Got a pic of them fitted to the car (what's the ride height?)
  21. Where are you going to post the details up? I'm keen as mustard for PI. First time there!
