the ablility for any car made and imported by a major manufacturer in the last 15 years explains that an automatic transmission MUST be able to slide into neutral without haveing to press buttons or complicated sequences as explained by the ADR just for this reason. I'll be very surprised if this guy isn't on the news again for being a drop kick.... also worst come to worst, kick the gear lever if its stuck, the worst that will happen is you completely destroy all the teeth in a certain gear and the car will have no drive...
-
Roy it sounds like who ever owns the car your talking about is surely giving it a bloody hard time and i dont think you should make up your mind about using a gtr as a daily bassed on what they say about it because i don't think they are using it as a daily...

I mean the good electronics isn't the nissan fully electronic gear box what actually gives it that little bit extra advantage over other cars with similar stats? Pretty sure it is, not to mention they have probably almost perfected their LC where as other makes havent yet..... if you mean traction controll and esp and all that other waste of time stuff, but there not good electronics, they just make you go slower. You do know electronics isn't just the safty stuff and the ps3 dashboard stuff? Ignition timing, fuel mixtures, stability controll ect..... the things you need to make a fast car go faster Throw jap electronics in the 911 turbo and i still say it'll snap both the gtr and the turbo easy. Too bad the rivalry between them is too great and porsche and nissan will never work together

yeah the Bentley is a woman driver? She's the Degroot airess (you know the guy who rode in on a horse and slashed the ribbon with a sword instead of the queen when the harbour bridge was first opened?) They live in West penno hillz yo And their is 2 DB9's I keep seeing probably the same ones
-
so what we see here is japanese electronics FTW!!!! if the japs use their electronics in the Porsche, I recon there will be an insane amount of factory power coupled with awesome electronics. That would be one bastard child i would love to call my own

or they were trying to bignote themselves, Unless the brakes were rooted or something, ive been told (not from personal experience) that the brakes are a bitch, something to do with insurance or something..... is that true? I was told that when it come to replacing the pads, you also arn't allowed to use same disks or something aswell or insurance wont cover it. oh don't quote me because ive only heard it from one guy but i dunno if he was just talking out of his ass.

I agree, skyline drivers cop more slack about being hoons and what not, but at the end of the day its young/tradesmen in utes that are the biggest cocks of all. Any nationality, any area in Australia, ute+tradey+ under 30 years old + doing stupid cosmetic work (stickers, lowering, chroming or rebadging) = biggest tools you will ever meet lol
-
Yeah anyone in anycar can be a tool, but the highest concentration of tools are Hilux/Rodeo/BT50 ect.... drivers, who are under 30 years of age and are asshole tradesmen who for some reason think they ALWAYS have right of way, tend to be very horn happy, are always angry, tend to have "aussie Pride" stickers on the back and always tend to have arms and gestures flying out the window acompanied with harsh sware words usually directed at old people or small nervous asian women. Must make their egos bigger i guess, or maybe because they were the people that laid the roads, they recon they can do what they like because of it. Yelling at senior citizens and little nervous drivers must make you a tool in an instant in anyones books.

allot of vehicles cannot be turned off unless the car is either at idle or in park gear for automatics. But the gears thing is obvious, the guys an idiot, he complained that the gear button wouldn't depress, but you dont need to press that button to throw it into neutral.... also did anybody notice that in the pics of the car after it had stopped there are no skid/tyre marks on the road????? for such high speeds and handbraking the explorer leaves no marks lol

good to hear

yay another hills R33. Use the new cat and get the car tuned, i'd be surprised if any r33 gtst's would pass an emissions test stock standard without a tune anyway. And thats crap about not having the standard cat, Cas is right, they are a consumable and you will never find a brand new Nissan replacement for an r33 (unless s15 silvias are the same?) EPA are idiots. Good luck

it'll also depend on the angle of where the plane is looking from, i see this idea as a fail unless they have some gizmos that take ito acount the error margin.... somehow. Should be fairly easy to win in court, much the same as a police officer pulling you over for running a red light, but its proved he can't have made an acurate decision from certain angles and distances.... For example if you look at a speedo needle from the passenger seat of a vehicle, it looks like your doing more than you actually are. I only figured that out coz way back on my Learners my dad kept telling me to slow down when in fact i was right on the speed limmit.

if your serious about your fuel, only go to petrol stations and major bizzy roads that are bizzy.............. the ron of fuel will quickly become lower if for instance it is mixed around alot, exposed to higher than avaerage temperatures, or if it sits in a holding facility for a long period of time. There is nothing you can do about the first 2 probs, but the 3rd prob (usually the culprit) can be avoided most of the time if you choose the right petrol station and at the right time to fill up. If you know your local station gets a delivery every wednesday night, then fill her up thrusday morining. Alot of people dont know this but if you fill up right after or during a station refuel, the amount of shit that goes straight into your petrol tank is crazy if their 2ndary filters are old (most of the time). The refineries are pretty strict when it comes to their stock leaving the depots, but once its in the petrol stations holding tanks then the fuel goes to shit. DOn't know how practical it'll be for you, but if i see a tanker comming in to fill up the petrol station, i go back the next day to refuel, you will see for yourself if you have a temperamental car and you fill up hours before then tanker comes, then you do alot of driving that day, then the next day fill up with the fresher fuel.... but all depends on how much turnover the station has

they were both shitty drivers, but atleast the R35 driver was interesting on the track and in the cabbin lol

What Is Everyone's Obsession With Saying 'jdm'?

your mums are all JDM (thats what Rove would have said in this thread if he had an import) -
I don't see anything wrong with it, but if you do it your liable of looking like an idiot when people like us who know our shit come to look at the car and basically laugh in their face. It's mostly p-platers who do it and i've seen them go both ways on the issue. Some take of the "t" in gtt or gts-t because they think that police will be fooled, others put higher spec badges to show off to their peers who have no idea, other times its just for a laugh or just to be different... If you deliberately try to sell a car as a higher spec, then legally thats defrauding the customer and basically its a Department of Fair Trading issue (those guys do nothing about it unless the car was wrongfuly sold). If you own something alittle more rare than the rest, like an r34 gtt vspec nur or something like that, then you will have proof of it, i'm pretty sure you can even google the engine/chassis numbers to make sure of it, but if you dress up a 34gt with the body kit and the stickers, then its probably because you love the look of it but you can't afford the original, i fail to see why the gtr owner would get pissed off, it really doesnt affect your resale value at all, rather it lets you know that people out their are envious of your car and want to copy its looks.... i'd feel pretty happy aboput that if i were you

I picked up some but sounded like "why doesn't this idiot get out of the way"

now back to main topic, lets all forget about ZR1..... GTR should have won against the R8 v10 in some aspects and Audi should have won in others, and the interpretation of both becomes a more personal choice of what each individual wants from the car..... obviously the Magazine guys wanted what the Audi had alittle more than the GTR, an thats only their opinion. I'm out of this thread now have fun all
-
forwarded so myself and others can have a laugh,,,, guess what, I did have a laugh, cheers bye.... And about your name...... i'm just stating my opinion and as you said "we're all entitled" i'm just trying to bring the thread back to your level.... you know, the level that maxima owners have peace dude be happy and smile
-
nawwww poor baby, cheer up its only the internet you take this way too serious by the looks of things

we have already figured the magazine gurus are on crack...

Speaking of wanky USDM hondas.... saw this in the city the other day, took a pic because I can't see the point of doing this.... You can't see it properly in the pic but the sighn on the back of the civic says "lefthand drive", got neext to it and it was a left hand drive.... WHy on earth would you bring over a civic from the states when the importing freight, taxes, compliancing ect... would easily double the price that you can buy the same car here for???? And you won't have ugly stickers on the back of the car..... bloody honda drivers and their ADM/JDM/USDM crap
