  1. I used to have an external gate on my old turbo'd Falcon and even that sounded like crap cos it was only running 10psi. Unless you're running 15psi+ it will sound rubbish whether it's internal or external.
  2. His set are for R34 calipers so no good for me. I'll check out OTR though, cheers for that.
  3. Fark I love a good skid!
  4. Just get some off ebay. Federal 255's are about $130. I had them on my XR6 Turbo and ran high 11's on them. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/255-40-17-FEDERAL-595-CAR-TYRES-/251140372552?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a7921f848&_uhb=1
  5. Looking good mate. Can't wait to see her up and running.
  6. What size brake ducts are people using and how flexible do they have to me? I found some 75mm yellow hose at work but it's pretty stiff.
  7. Tyres must be of the same dimensions front and back for GTR's so replace the rears with what ever size is on the front.
  8. A set of ET Streets would probably last you a year's worth of drag racing if you were racing monthly. Just so long as you don't sit there frying tyres every run which is not needed. There isn't really a limit on how small you can go but I probably wouldn't go any smaller than a 15. If you're running 15's or 16's with guard work you should be able to fit a set of 275's under there. A mate of mine runs 15" 275's under the rear of his S14 which last time he ran it had around 430rwkw and was good for a low 10 and 145 or so mph.
  9. ^What he said. If you run a full slick tyre on the rear you have to run a narrow tyre on the front. Have a look at front runners on the Mickey Thompson page and have a flick through the ANDRA rules too.
  10. I Don't have any but I'll hopefully sort some out asap.
  11. Well no but if you run full slicks then you also have to run front runners. You will get better traction with full slicks though.
  12. I'd probably go 15's or just use your standard wheels and find the widest set of ET's you can fit under the rear. Probably a 255 wide. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nissan-Skyline-Bcnr33-R33-Gtr-Wheels-With-Mickey-Thompson-Et-Street-/140994539353?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20d3edef59&_uhb=1 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MICKEY-THOMPSON-ET-STREET-RADIALS-255-60-15-/360672830294?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53f9c6a356&_uhb=1
  13. Mickey Thompson ET Streets. What car are they for and how much power are you making?
  14. Thanks for the heads up. Where's the best place to grab a set of PMU's?
  15. Should be all good then. They were brand new at Winton and that's they only work they've had.
  16. I'm just about to do Phillip Island this weekend in my 32 GT-R with standard brakes and A1RM pads. Anyone have any idea of how they'll hold up at the island. They were pretty average at Winton as they started to fade trying to pull up after the straights.
  17. I was billed earlier this week but I didn't receive any confirmation. If you paid in time I'm sure it'd be fine to just head down there. It's annoying that there is no one to contact though.
  18. I'm with Blitz on this one. If you've got coilovers it could be your spring moving. Used to happen with a lot of mates cars.
  19. Then go the Supra.
  20. -5's on a RB26 running 98 aren't known for great response. E85 may help you a little but swapping the cams out for something smaller might be your best bet.
  21. What difference did you notice exactly going from the HKS dumps to R34 one's? discoPumkin, you might want to do a little more research before you keep rambling on. What Piggaz is trying to say is what exhaust setup would you recommend for the OP straight off the head? If you had to pick a manifold and everything.
  22. I wish I made the power as easy as you Sinista. I'm running -7's on E85. 325rwkw @ 20psi. HKS dumps, unknown front pipe, 3" 100 cell cat and 3" cat back. I'm still running standard actuators though so I think that might be holding me back as the boost drops off to 16psi. Eventually I'll go up to a 3.5" exhaust to see what happens.
  23. Hey mate, before going and blowing all your hard earned. Do a little research as to what's needed to get the car to where you want it. A lot of things aren't needed such as the plenum, cams, valves and fuel rail.
  24. Same thing in Victoria. You can get the option to only drive during working hours. If you're caught outside of those hours its the same as unlicensed.
