I was thinking the same thing Dan, I'm always thinking the car is holding me back, which it probably is a little but not as much as my driving. If John can cut those lap times with the set up and power he has then there is definitely room for improvement in my driving skills. Great work John!

Just put an aftermarket pump in it now. Decide which one by how much horsepower you'll be after in the future. You won't need to change anything to fit it. Maybe a few small mods to get it to fit in the cradle but that's it.

I'm with GTSBoy on this one. Don't bother with Nolathane. I just replaced my sway bars the other day and front and rear bushes are different. -
I saw the same thing on Millers Rd the other day. I reckon they would have just been swapping shifts.

I'm assuming a fair few people have done it as there are a lof of gts' with gtr front ends out there. So long as you don't weaken it too much it should be alright however it won't be legal. Maybe weld some supports in there after you cut the section out you need.

I did my 1st Island day the other week and found I and my car need a lot of improvement. I don't whether to attend this, the event at Winton or head over to Sandown and watch. Decisions, decisions.

Anyone can enter a tampered day. All you need is a AASA licence which can be purchased on the day. I might enter if I have the time and funds.

E85 is $1.20 in Vic too.

Is that the factory exhaust? I've never seen an exhaust with insulation like that bore. So long as you keep an eye on it is should be fine. The only time it will cause a power loss is if the pipe under the insulation splits.
