  1. I had the same thing happen in my freshly built 26. I was driving one day and bounced off the limiter a couple of times in the wet but I didn't really think much of it, I'm guessing the crank may have had some starvation at this point though. Started the car about 2 weeks later and it spun a bearing in the driveway. When the engine was stripped it turned out the bearing clearances weren't correct.

  7. I've tried all of the above and still have issues. I never did them all at the same time though so I'm guessing my pads are most likely contaminated. I'll have a crack at doing it all properly and see how they come up. Cheers for the help.

  9. I run the base model Hayes hydro's on the front of my Norco atm and they seem to have died in the last year. It's almost as if the pads are glazed over and don't grip anymore. I've put new pads in but still have the same issue. Rears are fine. Anyone have any tips for me?
  10. All my exhaust has is a cat and a hot dog and it's still not as loud as yours. No damage for me even though i ended up out there a couple of times. I should have some great footage of it ready soon too.

  13. Sounds like an awesome build. What are your plans with the car? Track or street? As everyone else has said, got straight to 1000cc injectors. 550's will be too small if you plan to take it further. Hurry up with the pics!

  16. Hey guys, sorry to dig up an old thread but I couldn't find anything more recent. At the moment I'm running 245 wide tyre's on 18x9.5 +12 rims. I need to get wider tyre's and I'm pretty sure I can run 265's without issue but I was wandering what is required to go wider. I see plenty of second hand 275 and 285 wide tyre's for sale but I don't think I can fit them without guard work.
  17. I'm in the same boat as you jack so I'm finding this info very useful. At the moment I'm running KU36's and find they only last 1-2 laps before they go off. They are on a heavy car though and are 245 wise stretched over 9.5" rims. I was planning on trying the Achilles 123's but heard they go off after 1-2 laps as well. I'm on a small budget so don't want to spend thousands on the top Hankook's or Yoko's. I've been looking for second hand stuff but I'm struggling.
  18. Oh ok, I'm still running the stockers too and looking to upgrade but I'm not willing to spend the big bucks on AP's yet. I bet they'll be bloody nice.

  21. What's your main reason for more volume as apposed to more weight and less reps? I'm thinking about giving this ago as I can't lift much due to a bung shoulder.
  22. How much of a gain would you get from just swapping to E85? I know you already run water/meth but is that set to just come on at high boost/temps?
