And don't forget [all you rose coloured glasses freaks] a dash that rattles and doesn't fit quite right, steering that isn't centre or quite as direct, aircon that blows everywhere and doesn't work that well anyway, a demister that blows everywhere [get used to carrying a small towel to 'demist' the windscreen manually] a firewall that is cut and shut, an instrument cluster you have to bend down to see (unless your under 5'8" the top shroud of the dash covers half the cluster), and a car that coughs every time you go past a servo (8 mpg around town, 25mpg on a trip, 15 mpg if you get up it). And these are just the good times I remember.
I've never had the pleasure of owning a vette, but I've owned transams and a mustang, and my skyline is way better to drive.
I loved/hated every minute of them, would I have another one??? bloody oath, but I'd do my own conversion, I wouldn't use it as my main car, no way would I get rid of my skyline to do it.
