  1. That's stupid. Turf the RB25 and get an RB26 built to your spec with your selected turbos (N1, 2530 etc.) - drop it into your GTS. Or just get a GT-R. T.
  2. That r33 sedan in the sig looks damn pimpin' Too bad they don't look that good in real life. T.
  3. There's too much going on in this thread and I'm getting confused. T.
  4. Hmmm... $16 iridiums too :-( I had plain NGK BCPR6ES or BCPR7ES coppers and I cracked a whole bunch of the ceramic casings in less than 2,000km - no idea why; these are the same ones that everyone recommends. I now use those murderously expensive Iriways and they seem ok after a few thousand. T.
  5. To be brutally honest... why don't you try the Silvia forums? Straight fit - no farkin' around and you can name your price. T.
  6. I don't see the small block chevy as such a bad thing. They still use it in the Corvette so what's the big deal? Should be a nice ride but I'd be thinking alloy head or even block. T.
  7. Interested Jim... I'll have to ask about the T25 to T3 adapter... I know T4 to T3 adapter is piss easy. Even swap you that GT-R grille T.
  8. I agree with Frank... I busted the absolute arse out of my fiber bar and to add insult to injury, the gum off the race tape is still there. AFAIK no one makes reproduction bars from ABS plastic. T.
  9. I wouldn't imagine an RWD 180sx CA18 will be as easy to install as a FWD variant. Try one of the import places in Sydney like SSS or Justjap. T.
  10. I'm pretty sure Adrian (Mr. NOS Purge) has a light up Skyline panel. I'd imagine it'd be legal if it was red and lit up on braking. T.
  11. If this is a brand new crate motor, would that work? T.
  12. The 34 GT-R has the exact same setup. For some reason the 34 GT-t does not. T.
  13. Nah I just pulled out the passenger seat and replaced it with a stock R32 GTS seat. Better for shopping, boxes, monitors and girls. T.

I think Unique have a 'problem' that perhaps many places have be they underwear stores, hi-fi boutiques etc. Unless the people there KNOW who's coming in, they won't engage someone in conversation. Some people want to come in and browse and they get annoyed if someone comes up and says 'can I help you?" Some people wanna grab a sales person and just gasbag all day and waste everyones' time. This is perhaps 'worsened' by the fact that people come in and ask all kinds of B/S about the cars and just 'kick tyres'. So where is the balance? Are they good because they leave you alone and you can browse? Or are they good because they're on your case as soon as you get in? My advise is that if you want something - GET UP AND ASK! I don't think they mind giving you the product they have for cash The rule is here that if ya wanna say good stuff about a any company here... great. But don't rip on any company. T.
  15. Reducing unsprung weight is always a good thing. Lightweight rims *should* make a difference to handling, acceleration but I doubt that many can 'feel' the diffence. T.
  16. There are four bolts that come straight off. I had NFI and it took 15 mins. T.
  17. For engine internals, one can take an educated guess. 3.0 litres v10 - each piston is 300ml - with an average sized crown, say on an oversquare engine for max flow, I'd imagine it'd be 70-80mm? The RB25/26 is 86mm. The stroke would be 50mm? Actually by my very crap back of serviette calcs, an 86mm bore with a 50mm stroke would make the a V10 of around 3.0 litres. Given that the RB26 runs ~73mm stroke, I'd imagine a 50mm stroke or less would make for twice the RPM given sufficient materials and balancing. T.
  18. I wanna know if it's a 'slot in/slot out' proposition - re-use gaskets etc. Then we will truly know if it's an economical and measureable difference. T.
  19. But can I ask this... With all these big bores - where da fark do you get pistons? It was my impression that 87.5/88mm pistons is about as big as it gets. Unless you want custom Cossies T.
  20. A proper wet and dry compression 'give an indication' of what parts are likely to be faulty... Rings, piston crowns, valves/stems. I'd rather have farked valves rather than farked rings, crowns for obvious reasons. T.
  21. So to re-iterate... Cusco master cyl. brace. Good pads. I would like 330mm discs, perhaps, DBA 5000 but do you need any work to get the standard calipers to fit? Not terribly interested in lines. T.
  22. Intake plenum with the stock fuel rail. It depends... I'd reticient about really clean engines because someone might be hiding something? Or do you just go with a dirty engine because the mechanicals are great and the seller doesn't want to hide anything? I seen some 1996 GT-R's with peeling plenums - it's no indication of engine wear. At then end of the day, I only trust a compression test. T.
  23. Interested definitely. Any idea of install costs? T.
  24. I saw this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=44551 Is this worth doing on stock and smallish internal turbines (ie. up to 2835 size). More for increase response rather than outright power. Cheap for what it is. T.
  25. Yeah it was... this is normal. Mercedes are famous for displaying videos of their two door CLK and SL convertibles being turned into barrier pancakes. God knows how many cars they destroy via barrier, overturns, hot/cold testing etc. And as a tax and practical write-off, they destroy every part so nothing can be reused. I remember seeing C4 Corvettes being crushed in Australia because GM Chevrolet could not be arsed bringing them stateside for crushing after NT hot weather testing. Oh noes! T.
