  1. Got yokohama Advan V103 on mine, 285 on the rear. Pretty sticky so far. Cheapest I could get them was $700 a corner. They're 20" and the ride is not that different to the 18's I was running.
  2. The shop on Bannister Road is pretty good. I had the wifes silver M3 fixed there and can't complain, did a good matchup and silver is a tough colour to match on plastics. I'll get the name when I get home.
  3. Try Dent Craft 1st. http://www.dentcraft.com.au/ If they can't fix it then: Advantage Panel & Paint Insurance & private work, performance cars, prestige cars. Osborne Park location. Quality & professional service. 40 Howe St Osborne Park Ph:(08) 9244 2665 or McCarthy Panel & Paint 122 Gugeri St Claremont WA, 6010 Australia Ph:(08) 9384 9400
  4. With that size tyre on the rear your Speedo will be reading 6.4% too fast. When your doing 100kph the speedo will read 93.6kph. I'm suprised you haven't had issues with VDC as it apparently only tolerates a variance of 3-4% over stock
  5. From Wikipedia Sorry my bad, I must have read incorrectly. So given grease is inert & won't move & remove the dust like the epithelium, I'd suggest wiping it off if you have the QA1 Endura offroad spherical bearings
  6. It's actually the nasal hairs that prevent dust particles from passing not mucus, only dogs are supposed to have constantly wet noses OT grease WILL atract dirt purely by it's nature and hold it there, where a rose joint without grease will shed the dirt.
  7. Suck me dry & call me "Dusty"..........Well done!!!!!
  8. It's now NCOP11 that covers wheels & Suspension, 14 is totally unrelated. previous link does not work, only took 12hrs to become a dead page............go figure........ http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh...n/vsb_ncop.aspx
  9. Wouldn't make any sense to use the ECU. I'd say the US dash comp in order to get screen etc in engrish.
  10. Incorrect, please see link provided.
  11. Well seeing as you started two threads on the same subject:
  12. P.S. If you call DPI they will tell you all traffic cops should be using the NCOP rulings now, and not what is on the DPI site as it's old info.
  13. You've been duped by a cop who "thinks" he can pull one over you. Ahh country cops, so "up with the times". We are all governed by a national ruling NCOP14 http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh...ng_3Feb2006.pdf In summary we can not increase tyre width by more than 30% over stock (OEM) or placard. So Front can go from 225 out to max 292 (rounded to nearest avail size 285) Rear can go from 245 out to 318 ( or 315 next avail size). You can have any size Ø rim as long as you maintain aspect ratio and the overall diameter of the tyre is not more than 15mm larger than stock. Also the tyres must be load rated to suit. I suggest you print it out, highlight the parts pertinent and keep it with you and if he hassles you again, show him the error of his ways, then bend him over and shove it up his a**. Hallelujah brudda.................
  14. Audioslave................tends to make you squeeze the trigger a little Muse Fuel
  15. Just thought I'd re-itorate on this one as I didn't pick it up earlier. The PSS9/10 front coilovers don't have separate ride height and preload adjustment like the Ohlins DFV do, hence the DVF don't require the helper springs as they maintain full travel.
  16. Vandalism is somewhat different to break/enter/theft. Nismo is correct, Unless you have witnesses or can identify the offender by some means, you pay the excess. I've been there myself.
  17. The Work GS1 finally got some rubber last month, I've been putting off posting pics until I've taken about 30mm out of the ride height but that's going to be a while. So until then: needs a wash, I'm waiting for the weather to improve.
  18. One word: Skidpan, should be compulsory for every P plater. Get to know your car and what it can do.
  19. http://nissanskyline.6te.net/HICAS.htm Oh and you guys wanting to de-activate the VDC, consult your insurance company first. Most claims will be rejected if VDC is found to have been turned off at the time of the accident. Food for thought
  20. Sounds like fun, where do I sign
  21. Thanks Gaz. There is absolutely no doubt you know exactly what you are talking about and I'm starting to feel the victim of misinformation, I'm concerned I've made a poor choice. Unfortunately I don't think I can reneg on the coilovers as they've been ordered & shipped from one supplier to another. Admitedly they've only cost me $2600AUD as a "special" from Performanceshock Inc, but it doesn't take away the fact that they may not be suitable for our roads, as you've stated. I'll try and see if I can get the order switched to the Bilstein PSS9 or the newer PSS10.
  22. Thanks for chiming in BB. What are the spring rates on your set and who have you approached to service them?
  23. Thanks Gaz. I understand what your saying about the spring rate bias being heavy on the front, that did concern me a bit, but does it matter if the damper is correctly matched to the spring? Would it be more beneficial to revalve & respring the rear up to about 500 for track use, given the rear is not a coilover but separate spring & damper (as in OEM)? Also the Bilstein are progressive rear spring. How is that comparable to the Ohlins linear springs? I'm also not keen on the bilstein "helper" springs on the front, When installed they become useless and remain under max compression. I thought that a bit of a crap design to be honest Even though I won't be lowering the ride more than 30mm I'm not keen on coilovers where height adjustment effects spring & damper travel as is with the Bilsteins. Gsedan35 had this answer to one of my ? on g35driver adverbatim. He runs PSS9 revalved with 560F/500R spring rates, albeit his is a sedan. I'm waiting to hear back from Gsedan35 as to the reason for those spring rates but going by his shock dynos thats probably not an issue if they are so similar to the PSS9 on the comfort settings. So all that jargon aside, In your opinion what would have been a better setup for the V35, coilover or not?
