  1. Hi, So I bought my Skyline about a year ago, as a bit of a project because it was pretty beaten up, and as such I got it pretty cheap. My insurance has been really good so far except that they just insured it at what I paid for it, and not a market value. Having spent a year fixing it and spending money on it, I wanted to increase the value on my insurance to it's normal market value, or something similar, but I need to get an evaluation apparently. I'm not entirely sure about how to go about this? Does anybody here have any suggestions as far as getting it evaulated? NB: I'm not interested in anybody's gung-ho "f*k InSuRanCeZ mAn U dUn NeEd ThAt ShIz" ideas. Cheers, Mods: Sorry if this has been covered, couldn't find anything searching.
  2. Exactly! I was lookin' for that picture but couldn't find it anywhere.
  3. Just out of curiosity... How is she intending to do the roof? *In mind all I can think of is like those lan parties where you duct tape her to the ceiling and then slowly drive the car underneath* Seriously awesome work though =D
  4. Man Stao you are a wizard with prices! I'll be sure to send you my turbo when I get home in two weeks. Thanks for your help
  5. Actually, what kind of power figure would I get on a 0.63 housing? Would an external gate be a better option maybe, since loads of people swear by them?
  6. Ahh champion man. It won't be a problem that I live in Perth will it? I can't imagine postage being an issue or anything?
  7. Cool =] So that'd be 1250 + 150 for the ATR43G3 with .82 housing and the high pressure actuator right?
  8. Just the glow =] Some people are pretty bad once you have you *SAU hot top here* merge lanes.
  9. How many subs do you reckon you could fit in one?
  10. I'm also very interested in your "GT3076 spec turbo in .82 turbine housing", how different is that going to be?
  11. Hi, Sorry, I know you've probably been asked this question too many times to count, but I read a few pages ago a quote from you saying something like "We can build you a turbo to hit 280rwkw with excelent street response" from an RB25. I'm very interested in this, could you detail exactly what this would entail man? I've been reading through the thread but everything seems to change so often I thought I'd just ask you to see what was current. This sounds awesome man, I just want to work out if I need to, and where to get dump pipes, and if my tuner's happy tuning this (I see no reason why he wouldn't be =]). Cheers, Tim Edit: Obviously all the supporting mod's will already be factors, I'm just interested as to the specs of the turbo. Oh, and a price, if it's ok to post it here?
  12. For a laugh I installed neons and can honestly say (A) they're actually quite usefull when your friends are hopeless at floowing you in traffic and (B) there are very very few things more embarassing than having a fuse blow and driving along with say... 3 neons or so, really just doesn't cut it.
  13. No idea, but when I did my custom boot, we got a load of old posters and stuck them together right? We put those posters into the boot, and flattened them out so they were flat across the floor, and then drew around the edges with a marker, took the posters out, and then we had an exact(ish) diagram of the space we had. you get me?
  14. Ant have you put yours on yet? It'll be interesting to see what power you end up with. In two or three weeks I get offsite and back to uni, and I'll be hopefully putting the tweakit.net full kit on, so that'll be excitin'. Interested to see how everybody goes with this =D
  15. Oh ok, So what'd be the ideal way to run this then? Again, sorry but until recently I was set on a HKS full kit, so all this is completely left feild
  16. Oh ok, there's a T3 they've got there too, thanks for that. But in general, is it going to be better to just buy something like this http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/prod18.htm and then find the parts other people are recommending? Appologies if these are particularly stupid questions, I'm very new to selecting indivual parts for turbos. Cheers, Tim
  17. I also just found this earlier this morning. I've been reading this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch....html&st=20 and I'm put off the idea a bit by Mafia, but I'd like to see what somebody thinks of these new sizes. Is it just a better idea to buy the 3076 they have here http://www.horsepowerinabox.com/HPIAB2/prod641.htm and then get the extra parts from somewhere else? The more I read on this the more questions I seem to be asking...
  18. Yeah I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't entirely pleased/pleasant - large mistake although I would've had a sticker either way I'm sure. I'd driven past a drug store in High Wycombe, and apparently police sit outside that and pull over every single person who comes near it on a Saturday night - so I was already on shaky ground. Started out quite nice, because I have a large amount of good police encounters nowadays, but they were pushing a bit of an agenda and I reacted badly to that I guess. Up until then I completely thought that only look under the bonnet was legal. So really the moral for anybody reading this thread is that you just let police look anywhere they so desire. +1 on the not being a drug son of rajab/mule.
  19. Sucks to hear that man, hope your sticker comes off easily. I had pretty much exactly the same deal with the guys who stickered me, and I went and made a complaint about it, and their officer told me that they do have the right to inspect your car, because what they 'suspect' you of is not complying with the Road Vehicles Compliance Act [Or something of the sort, I've forgotten the exact name]. My problem was that while I was showing one officer my perfectly stock engine bay I'd also forgotten to lock the car, and looked around to see the other dude had gotten into the drivers side and was fiddling with things. I said something like "Hey, that's my car and you've not asked to be in there, get out" and then ther officer at the bonnet restrained me while I tried to walk over and ask the one inside to get out. Thing is though, that the police are then 'allowed' to treat that as you acting suspiciously, as if you've got all the pannels of your car lined with bombs/guns/knives and rip the pannels off. They call this a 'chance discovery'... Even though they had to dismantle the car. Also, do you think the police have tools for dismantling a whole car? I mean, I know my 33 is held together with pretty much the exact same screw the whole way through, but still... They also claimed that they could take it for a drive around the block, but this is something I highly doubt could ever happen bearing in mind how much liability they'd be for insurance stuff? Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, but when I made my complaint this is what they told me, and their boss just kinda shrugged and gave me the "Pfft, well, what can ya' do mate?" sort of talk. Also their boss said that the privacy act states that only one involved party needs to know that the conversation is being recorded. I tried to do mine, but it was raining and my phone got drenched = absolutely no use. There's a dude on here I saw post once who's a lawyer and knows a lot about this sort of stuff, if you read this man could you give us your opinion please?
  20. I before E except after c? Widely known fact: ALL known master drifters use s13's =D I mean, I've already apologised, and PM'd her to to say I'll bake cookies to make up for it. And then she goes 'n' has a rant at me? What's a man gotta do y'know? PS: Thanks Martin EDIT: Also, I don't know if the dude in the 31 I pulled up next to on GEH actually heard what I was trying to shout, just wanted to make sure you weren't in trouble man, wasn't suspiciously following you or anything...
  21. Well maybe you're just a bit cautious then? Maybe, since you were so observant that night, you would've noticed I had pretty much the rest of the cruise a lot closer up my backside than I ever got to you? Driving slowly on a cruise is fine, there is literally no problem with that. But have the respect for other people to do it so that you're not holding everybody up and turning it into two cruises. Once I'd decided it was out of the question to overtake you on a straight section then I pulled a long way back anyway? Just because you're rolling on old OEM equipment it doesn't mean everybody else is. I've got Tien coilovers, bigger brakes and really grippy Pirelli tires, without a doubt if you'd locked up I'd have stopped a long way clear of you anyway. PS: In no way would anybody end up having to pay for my mistakes in the way that the dude in the 32 did, since I've got enough consideration that I wouldn't put my car on the road without it being fully insured. And a lot more people were complaining about being stuck behind you than just me.
  22. Mmmm, the thing about driving at speed I find is how quickly you can then not be driving at speed. I pulled aside to let a newbie follow me down the zigzag, since I live around the corner, and still got very nervous about that last corner with nearly being rear ended. No offence if you're reading this man, but just beware that out past the foothills the sides of the roads are pretty much gravel, and you will never ever ever stop if you brake on that stuff =]
  23. The Midland stop was good because it meant I got time to get there from working late =D What happened along Great Eastern Hwy with everybody leaving? I stopped to get petrol and chill out and ended up being the second car at city west lol.
