I feel a little out of place in here compared to some of these cars, but seeing as the Photography section is one of the only sections I am yet to post in, I want in! Unfortunately most of my good photo's are a bit out of date Back when it was NA: Post-conversion: The new wheels: Aaand the most recent photos I have
-
Exactly haha. I had decided on metallic gun metal, but thought it wasn't original enough. So then decided dark blue at the back of the covers, fading into a metallic black at the front. But then decided that looks too rice for me. So then I thought just metallic black, but now I don't think that will stand out enough. At the moment I'm thinking of blue, but everyone gets blue... So now I'm getting nothing

Agree ^ I live in Perth, but I'm seriously considering ripping off my rocker covers when I get my car back and posting them to Craved to do. If only I could commit to a colour...

I'll point at Simon and leave it at that

Spotted Mk2 ! Do Not Post Licence Plate Details
Hanaldo replied to 10 4's topic in Western Australia
Silver R33 with SAU and SAUWA stickers in the right quarter window, parked at Swan District's Blue Steel Oval in Bassendean, round about 12:30. Had custom plates but won't post them up, as per thread rules. -
keeping up with the thread I see, Cam

Well... Sort of. Not really. I can't for the life of me understand what happened. I certainly didn't do it. But I can't see how my workshop would have done it either. Will make more sense when I post photos. Which I can't do yet because I haven't got the car back yet
-
Hey...
-
Ahhhhhh yeh my bad, that may well be the case. I forgot we are talking about an R33 here. Mine is a 34. So it's specifically the Z32/R32 ECU that they don't want to NIStune, not just NIStune in general. Sorry if I got your hopes up again lol, should have made the connection
-
Allstar definitely do NIStune's man, they are my tuners. I would be surprised if any tuner in Perth actually refused to tune a NIStune, they have a very wide support base.
-
Ah yeh, that would explain it. You should be able to plumb the bov in to anywhere that gets both vacuum and boost. The boost gauge source should work.
-
Oh hey guise They may have done this, I'm not sure how they found it in the end, I went in to give them a hand on Friday and they had already found the problem and sorted it out. Just kept me in the dark about it, they must like suspense almost as much as me I'll post pictures hopefully later today guys, pictures are worth a thousand words...

Here you go: And in case you're still unsure:

Hanaldo's R34 Gt(T) Skyline Build
Hanaldo replied to Hanaldo's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Lol yeh will do, you got your CAMS license?? -
I used one of the Loctite sealants, can't remember which one. The correct one for the application anyway. It had nothing to do with anything like that lol.
-
Haha yeh... That wasn't the issue. I'll post pictures when I get my car back. It was much much worse than that...

There's PLENTY of unopened 25's on here making much much more than 300rwkw and have been for awhile now. Simon's comes to mind, as does Methz. There's others but I can't remember everyone's name. On the other hand, there are also plenty that have gone bang with less power.

Plazmaman Plenum Install To R33 Rb25
Hanaldo replied to PaulosECR33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
That's what I thought, but Trent from Status is adamant he has done back to back testing and cars are losing power with Plazmamans. There were a few others as well, Roy for one. -
Plazmaman Plenum Install To R33 Rb25
Hanaldo replied to PaulosECR33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Yeh I don't think my comparison would be 100% valid either though, seeing as I've changed from a NIStuned ECU that wasn't working properly to a Link G4. If that solves my problem with VCT not working then any results I see will be way different. It should be fairly safe to say however, that if I LOSE any power/torque through the mid-range compared to my previous tune then that may be a result of the plenum/throttle body change. We'll see -
Well I made 295rwhp on Hyperdrives roller dyno and then 330rwhp on Allstars hub dyno. So there wasn't a lot of difference, and how much of that could be attributed to the difference between dynos is anyone's guess. It should also be noted that I had semi-slicks as well, which would also have given me a lower figure on the roller dyno. No results today, car didn't get on the dyno. Tuner said he is 'hoping' to get to it tomorrow. So maybe tomorrow, maybe Wednesday.

Yes. And I think I was much too quick to blame Andy for it. Let's not forget that I have always been using an ECU that had problems. Andy pointed out to me at the time that the ECU was unhappy, but I didn't understand what he was saying and dismissed it as him trying to sell me a new ECU. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Farkin had to read that 3 times before my brain acknowledged that there was a second 'a' in there ^
