  1. Hate external gates No mod is more offensive to everyone around you and your own ears. Better for power sure, but the evo that drove past the other day and sounded like a cat being mauled reminded me why I don't like them

Cool, moving to the area soon, hoping to see more Skylines than I do where I am now
  3. Aren't you selling it?
  4. How was this achieved? Through tune alone or camshafts / gears? When I had my GTS-T tuned by Chris I told him I wanted midrange, didn't care about top end. Torque wins drag races, afterall lol
  5. Mine is an inside resident And likely safer there than at my new address Reminds me, I need to increase my agreed value Also Supras have gone the way of GTRs. RX7s too. Would invest years ago.
  6. Yes, a forum favourite. Did fantastic work installing some tricky mods and tuning my GTS-T with a very safe and "factory" feeling tune - would happily re-use.
  7. From what you've posted appears to be a graphics mob, a car audio installer and a panelbeater? Where does tuning fit into it?
  8. Finish date is still a mystery...at this stage I consider it free storage on a seemingly appreciating asset
  9. I traded them in for free welding...
  10. Be worth it in a drag setup or something with great traction, but considering what the cars can do just fine with 2.5 litres and those turbos... When I was deciding on turbo for GTS-T I spoke to people who formerly had high flows and then upgraded to 3076 or GT35 etc. Each one said if they had their time again they'd just have stuck it out with the high flow...keeping this in mind has helped me avoid chasing any more power in it.
  11. Admittedly going against my own advice with that setup, as I don't know of anyone who's shot for response / disregarded power on a stroked GTR at the risk of choking their turbos etc. But GTR people are funny and in a lot of ways retarded - to many of them, responsive means boost by 4500rpm hence the catch cry "put -10s or huge single on it bro" (aka "what's a gearbox / traction?") etc. Your redline might be 8000rpm but you don't have to use it. Responsive to me is /full/ boost by 3000-3500 and not needing the top 2000rpm because you can pull hard in any gear. The cars are quick in their own right from factory and hardly laggy. Increase in displacement with a proportionate increase in turbo size should produce a much faster version of the factory vehicle without sacrificing drivability or breaking parts. 4th gear roll ons from 80 and such... The -9s came with the car, so am happy to buy something bigger down the track if the experiment fails.
  12. It's stories like this that make me glad my search for more power was limited to reading a couple of threads asking people what worked well and doing just that lol Being a revolutionary in turbo setups or in greater life is typically done at great personal cost
  13. I was suitably impressed with the brand new Hyundai Accent my panelbeater lent me for 3 months, which is about 15k new from memory. Comfortable and practical in every way and it wasn't a complete slug with the CVT auto, which is one of the better I've driven. Very different cars to what Hyundai used to be. Not much to look at, but If I had the space one would be in my garage as a cheap daily. That or a Kia as mentioned above...think they share platforms with the I series Hyundais. A mate just bought a Cerato as a daily and prefers it to the GTI and Skoda he had previously.
  14. Thank you for all your contributions, Bec. Outstanding support for the club over the years.
  15. Also subtle
  16. Budget? Econobox or premium?
  17. What about...ah nevermind
  18. Digging the MX5 RF http://www.caradvice.com.au/515564/2017-mazda-mx-5-rf-review-2/ Not sure how someone over 6' would get along with it though I'm sure it's fun to drive like the 86 in the bends, but if Mazda would just give these cars a small turbo and/or some respectable power, they would play havoc with the 86 and hot hatch markets. It's certainly cheap enough to be a serious contender.
  19. I use it cause I cbf finding IE which is hidden somewhere in Windows 10 folders
