Hi ppls. Before anyone says "Do a search" I HAVE. I got useful information. BUT I have an R34 gearbox in my GT-T (Funny that) and I have the following problem. When chaning 'quite hard' I crunch into each gear. I'm talking split second changes. Sometimes, changing into 4th from say 99kph I get a mild 'grunch' sound (halfway between a grind and a crunch) which I don't particularly like. Now, people are going to say "Put in Redline Shockproof" and I probably will, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and did they need to do anything to their box? If not, how long has it lasted? I know that the R34s have shot peened 1st 2nd and 4th gears, but that's more for strength than for anything else.... So, any takers?

Hey ppls. I'm tossing up between an adjustable HKS or Standard R32 Actuator for My R34 GT-T. Does anybody have one available? Price (and no bullshit prices either, as I can get an HKS one for $185 landed) Preferably Melbourne seller. BASS OUT

Platinum plugs are good for long lasting stock applications. Some engines are so tight in the engine bays that you actually have to remove the engine to change plugs, so platinum allow you to only have to change plugs once every few years. On high performance modified vehicles.... I dunno. I run platinums in mine only because that's what came from the factory in my car. BASS OUT

Ahh, Second hand yeah? SS8, Not standard, an option. It's the Nismo Variable Sound Level rear muffler. Has a valve that allows gas to flow either into the side of the muffler and hence through all the baffles, or straight through the muffler bypassing the baffles. I've heard from some owners that it's a bit of trouble.

So who else is going to spend all day Saturday washing and waxing there cars? I'm having my interior and engine bay detailed for me on Friday. I hate cleaning the inside of my car. Maybe I'm lazy.

I have a funny feeling that the front guards also need to be changed...

I've had a look around at this when I was looking at a Black R34 at Kamakazi motors. That one was siezed. Apparently, the valve often siezes closed and you have to attack it with WD40 to open it again. Because of the heat in the exhaust it constantly dries up. 666Dan. I wouldn't bother, very expensive and you would have to wire from the front of your car to the back and all sorts of things.

You are not wrong. It does give you a higher power figure accross all rev ranges though.

Careful with the front bar,. I'm not sure that a GTR front bar will fit a GT-T

Yeah but you've got to remember, the CSL comes standard with Semi Comp Rubber. The GT3 does not. They were testing standard cars against each other. Slap some Semi Comps on the GT3 and watch it drive off.

Thanks Redline. They look very similar but there is an addition little bracket on mine. I think the AFM outlet is also in a slightly different spot. Not by much , but by enough.

I use a super low pressure gun assembly. It's pretty cheap from Bunnings. It's called a Plastic Watering Can and you just fill it with water and then pour it over my car. It's actually quite good as there isn't much spray involved and the water tends to sheet off the car and leave less to chamios off.

I dunno about that Snowman.... I've been in a GT2 and GT3 and I reckon that GT2 blitzes the GT3. But that was from a grunt point of view only. There's something about a G-Force induced grin that I just can't go by....
