  1. GTR seats should be okay as they've been approved for road use and they're straight bolt in. As for aftermarket seats, you need ADR approval, which Justjap have for some of their seats. However I think the rails also need approval / engineering.
  2. Imported a few cars through Prestige. Geoff was extremely helpful each time, giving his opinion on what would make a good buy for me. Have a search for Prestige Motorsports on SAU and you'll find generally people have had a good experience using their services.
  3. ..still looking..
  4. Peeps can someone give me more info about the Philips kits, which kits they are / to what extent is it legal / etc? I would definitely consider a HID kit if it's ADR compliant..I like light
  5. Pick up some CRC Contact Cleaner, or similar product (that dries with no residue). Just spray into the AFM, in the direction that airflow occurs. There's been some old threads about the mesh, I don't think it made a massive difference and my suggestion would be to leave it on..I mean it's not as if it's providing a massive airflow restriction.
  6. Unigroup @ Girrawheen Premier Auto @ Mt Druitt Race Solutions (Hitman) @ Penrith ..all have dynos But yeah, if you're resetting the ECU: unplug the negative terminal, put the headlights on and leave it for a few hours to drain any residual current.
  7. So read them! Go through a few pages, look for threads which have lots of replies, means you'll get most likely find some information. Also look at the 'stickies' at the top of each forum as they usually contain frequently asked questions. Lastly, if you think it hasn't been covered, then by all means post a new thread. But something like 'I want to wind up boost' has been covered several times (as you say, 60 pages worth).
  8. Will the non-Nissan ones come with the SAU logo too?
  9. Hey ppls, After a set of calipers for my car. Am considering these ones. They look like they've been sitting around for a while (will be getting new rotors), but just wanted some more opinions on whether those calipers would be okay after a good clean up? Thanks..
  10. I was waiting for the next Beer Baron / Fatz / 88Silhouette invitational drinking event...
  11. ->? moved to VIC because that's where you are (I think?). Anyway, I do believe you're only allowed one intake mod as said (the pod, or the FMIC, but not both) - but I'll leave the VIC crowd to tell you what's the truth..
  12. Had a fantastic day! Down in the rear paddock pretty much the whole day, copped a few sprays of gravel from some of the people who hit the trap. Some pretty poor amaterish video capture on my behalf, although I got the goods of the 31s ripping some half decent burnouts in the expression sessions.
  13. Mate you can get GTR style kits all over the place locally, along with several other styles of bodykits. Suggest you look at some of the sponsors - I know JustJap stocks a GTR style front bar for the R32 - or other bodykit suppliers like Autobarn, SSV, Jetspeed, J Racing, etc etc.
  14. Haha I asked a similar qu recently, involving the air temp sensor on the R34 GTR intercoolers. FYI: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=86981
  15. Bumpity.. Blown one preferred, but if you have one that's working also I'd be interested!
  16. Taken from one of SK's posts Like's been said in this thread, excessive heat is a factor in blowing the stocker. When you're at the drags, you're loading your turbo for 14 sec (well hopefully quicker ) won't build up heat significantly. Out on the track, you're boosting more often, and for extended periods of time. It's conditions like these which are conducive to killing the turbine.
  17. nouvo33: this is referring to a RAWS who hasn't received full sign off to comply cars yet. Am I correct in reading that in your case, the RAWS already has the approval to comply R33s and you're simply waiting for plates for your car? Because I haven't heard it taking much longer than a month, tops, to receive the plate from Canberra. Maybe one of the RAWS who frequent this forum (Abflug, Driftt, etc) can back me up on that statement (or correct me).

  19. If you have an aftermarket headunit, depends on whether you have the power antenna output. If not, it will just be up if the headunit is on (regardless of CD/radio/etc).
  20. There was also a feature in this month's FF.. Good work everyone!
  21. Nice work mate..that was quick! I'm trying to look for a blown one myself as it'll go straight to the shop for a highflow. No point spending the extra money on a working one then..
  22. Please search this has been covered several times: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=23642
  23. If you do a search through some of the posts here, you'll find that there are a few others still waiting who've been waiting similar periods to you. From the DOTARS website: "Once all the information supplied is complete and correct, the time taken to have a workshop inspection is dependant on the availability of VSS, State or Territory inspectors and the volume of inspection and other work of the inspectors concerned. The number and frequency of receipt of workshop applications is beyond the control of VSS and the resources available for processing applications cannot be varied sufficiently to meet this varying demand"
  24. Well according to the DOTARS website here, they're right. Do a search for R32 Skyline (there's 11 results), and contact them all and ask for the price.
  25. From: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=84965 The R33 GTR midnight purple colour code was LP2 LV4 and LX0 were also called midnight purple, but used on the R34 GTR
