  1. Where in CBD..Swanson st Uni?? . from there I'd be looking at something like, Albert St > Barkers rd > Mont Albert Rd.> Elgar Rd or if you can get on the freeway >High st >Warrigul would be quickest way, but getting on the freeway can be a nightmare, especially if your at the north end of the CBD ..You could actually find it quicker heading to footscray rd or montague st and going through the tunnel, but that will cost you a full toll
  2. Josh votes PC...good man..
  3. I dunno just had a crazy idea that an increase in boost may be causing it somehow..dont matter, its not...
  4. Do you normally run boost that high?
  5. Of course it is, but if you wanna be a sheep you'll get stuck in the herd.. Street directory is your friend, navman is your enemy.. For eg a job I do from Fitzroy to footscray in peak hour , 4.30 pickup. It used to take me an hour..I can now knock it over in 25 minutes..Intact I think I could get from Hawthorn to any of those suburbs listed in 20-30 min regardless of traffic..
  6. Aftermarket injectors are usually tested to run other fuels like race fuels and methanol..E85 is known to be somewhat corrosive like this as well. I guess it's possible the stock ones haven't been tested for such things, times change as do fuels and fuel components to suit. I believe Injectors have changed quite a bit in the last 20years..update to something more modern and I doubt you will have any regrets..
  7. Done 2 cars with that kit now..left for a.week or 2, washed and then I waxed them with just some old california gold carnuba I had left over,.. left for 6 months without washing.. Washed them on the weekend, nothing special just a high pressure hose, proper chammy and armorall wash and wax and wow, they still look wet like they were done yesterday Im not sure which pads (orange, grey, white, yellow) they were.they're rather abrasive as I got the kit too fix some heavy scratching from my dog jumping on the car.. I found its less abrasive though if you just keep a spray bottle of water lightly misting over it as you go..stops it drying out and so uses less product as well..
  8. Look at any rb25 fuel rail kit and it comes with them
  9. Lol.. of course it is her idea.....but honestly carlton to hawthorn wouldnt be too bad once you figure a few backroads..My other choice would probably be richmond..theres some nice new apartments up around there too..pricey though.. peak hour traffic is never fun, but there is always a way around it if you plan ahead..Once you know your area Its no worse in the city than it is coming to Frankston from the city every night.. But the CBD at 5pm weekdays is a f**king nightmare......make sure you get out of there by 4pm or just stay around and have a beer till 7pm
  10. yeah i was up till 3am saturday watching all the vids..i think you mean Fonzi not Elvis...he sells the stuff but wont ship to aus did you try ebay man http://www.ebay.com....-All-Categories spray guns, there is a whole range on ebay as well http://www.ebay.com....pray+gun&_rdc=1 or you can just buy them at bunnings... Unfortunately its not as cheap as in the US...but still its very cost effective way to change colour of your car.. not only that it is a great protectant for your cars paint..
  11. get the IDs mate dont even think about it...
  12. Manuel, i got top feeds in under stock plenum...it can be done mate and theres a few ways around it..can get 2000cc in there if you want... the injectors I used were Xspurt 750s (basically same as IDs under a different brand name) which are 40mm, Its a tight fit but I am pretty sure you could get 48mm ID 1000s in there as well,...rail and reg should only set you back $200ish Alternatively Deatchwerks do 1000cc side feeds.. cheap too http://www.deatschwe...rb25det/1993-98
  13. so what you have a 2 tone car?? post pics man have realized plastidip also comes in GLOW IN THE DARK...paint my car with that shit yeah...
  14. Well all you really need is a bigger pump and maybe a bit of extra pressure should work to some extent..At worst you get bigger injectors... But i see where your going, Injectors, pump, piggyback, your looking at least 2000$ for for only a 5-10% increase... Though if you already have these mods in place you have nothing to lose..and plenty of people have spent more for less
  15. well you got plenty of engines to practice on...its just a head job, how hard can it be.. just dont strip any bolts/threads..ended up costing me 130$ to get that little m6 retapped and helicoiled.. but i had it running 2 hours later
  16. have heard about this abit lately, you done many full cars?? looks likeit would only cost about 500$ including the gun to do a whole car which is unbeatable value.plus you could do it easily in a weekend Then if you dont like it peel it off and do it again... how good do the colours come up, seems everybody just does matt black
  17. haha...noobs.. actually I got a guy (wont say who but everybody who frequents FI section knows him) who always asks me where i got my special rare front bumper, cause hes never seen one like that..its stock S1...
  18. Who, me??
  19. higher comp with the 3071 and smaller rear housing would of been sweet and punchy as to drive around the street, but limited to 330-350 but try telling that to these damn horsepower junkies Thing is if you get a bigger (3 or 3.5lt) engine chances are your going to need a bigger turbo then as well, I mean a 3076 is often considered just big enough for an rb30 and nearly all go bigger Gt35s...I think be best just to get a 2.5 up and running again, maybe slightly higher comp for kicks..most importantly sort out the overheating issues...
  20. 6% is still 6% , is that throughout the revrange or just a top end figure..I was thinking e85 could help gain some midrange.. My missus has a 3L Accord. its a zippy tank. but unfortunatly there isnt alot that can be done with it as the auto box is subject to failure even in stock form. I think the comp ratio is 10.1, Now I read a thread where a guy just filled his up with E85 ,with stock everything and no additional tuning he was pulling at least a car length on a similar car on pulp..he ran it for a while with no issues but finally saw reason that it might not be the greatest idea without a proper tune I have been very tempted to get an emanage or something, open up the exhaust a little and just tune for e85 to see what gain could be had..A 10% top end at absolute best, would be all I would expect, but more importantly I am interested in the low to midrange gain it could have as that is where it gets driven most.. i have been running it on e10 for ages without issue and getting great fuel economy as well, almost equal to BP98. And biannual headgasket replacements...lol ..this was always the best way to make a V8 (or any NA for that matter) move anyway
  21. An stock R33 (even at 12psi) won't beat a stock VT by much so don't expect miracles..I had 180kws and had trouble shaking a VT, like I would get in front but he was always right behind me.. I also beat my own skyline ( with someone else driving) in the missus Honda accord, autos can make alot of difference, especially in traffic ligjt races..However take it to a track and it should flog it The thing is modding an r33 will be alot more rewarding than modding a v6 commy. Some simple mods can almost double your power, almost nothing can double the power of a v6 crapadore I say if you want a stock thrasher keep the commodore, if you want a car to spend/waste money on making it perform then definitely get the skyline
  22. Maybe he needs the 50$ for phone credit ..
  23. http://www.facebook....&type=1 might be lucky if your quick, I jumped on it then realised it was s2,
  24. Aurion has a 3.5lt v6 and they are pretty damn fast
  25. camrys arent tooo bad, and the Aurion can be an awesome car...Its moe the Kias and Hyundais..they have no gimmick, no wow. they are just 4 wheels and an engine.. Though there build quality does seem to be picking up recently, i still see no pizazz... yeah i barely ever serviced the b2600, i would use repco brand oil, 6l and a free filter was about 20$ on sale, i would stock up on these and change every couple of months when i could be bothered,,if ever it felt down on power it was always just plugs and/or leads.
